Will this game be on the Xbox One store today? I didn't see it all I saw was a demo of it but you usually are able to pre order or even see the full game on the store before it's released but I didn't see the full game of Ride anywhere

Well, the XBox version comes out... Heck no one knows anymore, so there probably won't be a pre-order option because Milestone probably aren't even sure when it's coming out.

Well the Xbox 360 and Xbox one versions are supposed to be released today but I'm not sure whether they will be on the Xbox 360 and Xbox One marketplace today..

It is? I thought it got delayed and knocked about a bit. Maybe just wait a few hours, probably just hasn't come up yet if that's the case.

Well yes it was delayed from March 27th to April 10th for Xbox One, it's been delayed in the US to June 23rd I think..

I'm just lost in it all because April 10 is XBox release for Europe. PS4, PS3 and PC release where I am on the 10th, XBox on the 15th or 16th or something. In other words, the release is all confusing. Though I think the US release was always going to be terrible, Milestone are a fairly small company, so probably can't afford to release everywhere at once.

OK, PS4 store release confirmed in the UK. 18.3G download even after having got the demo installed! I really hope Milestone keep updating this game, listen to their customers and persevere with the franchise because after getting the demo I plugged in my old PS2, fired up TT and had more fun. I live in hope for Ride though. With a bit more care and attention it has the potential to be Something Great.

Road America on the BMW HP4 Race Bike (Still fiddling with suspension settings, and this just about behaves itself, but still not happy with it)

Sliding the Senna MV Agusta is a real joy, possibly my favourite bike of them all.

I can't wait to hear the thoughts of Xbox owners today and to hear if the demo was just very rough compared to the final release.

I can't imagine it would be in the state of the demo having worked with Microsoft to improve that version.

But at least since I got mxhylands advice, I've been able to progress through career mode without one single data corruption.
Well, it was Milestone's advice if I were to be picky but it's great hearing that it has so far worked out for you. Will be throwing myself into the career mode this weekend then - and avoiding the championships.

👍

Avoiding the championships and 'add team mate from friends list' worked for me as well. Didn't get any save corruption since.

That'll teach him for saying that there are 26 letters of the alphabet. It's common knowledge that there are 27 if you include the fart noise. :P

Will get properly into the game later this afternoon (got some real life to do first :D), but very early impressions...

Bloody hell, just bloody hell! The load times! :ouch:

Good track selection by the look of it. Handles ok

Looking forward to getting into it and also to hearing others thoughts

Hehe, mine has come today and after some gentle persuasion that ended with "take it if you want, I don't mind what you do" my mum's letting me have it early lol. Result!

Yeah, I do that with the Mrs :D You had a go yet?

The game has been running well since the patch for PC, no more crashes, but still has all the graphical problems and oil change bug. Still an enjoyable game, just hope Milestone intend on fixing all the other little things.

Marry her mate, that'll take care of that :D

Lol, I am at the end of July!

Well, I've just had the very quickest of goes on the Xbox One version and thank whoever it's much better as a retail game than the demo. Releasing the demo in that state was highly foolish, IMO.

I chose the Triumph as my starting bike, but the first ride just had to be the RS250 stroker. I know it's going to be hard to stop the comparisons with TT and I know I shouldn't, but the stroker noise is much better in that game I think. It also didn't feel chuckable like the lightweights do, either. Maybe standard physics is worth a try to 'dumb' it down to the sweet feeling TT gives me.

Gotta praise the 'showroom' menu before you load a race, as it's a great showcase for how the bikes look. I look forward to trying the bikes from my preorder bonus 'Historic Yamaha' pack, as well. The original '98 R1 is a favourite of mine.

I've got horrible frame-rate issues while racing at Kanto Temples, full course. It drops to mid-20's, maybe less on the detailed parts of the course. Imo this simply shouldn't be an issue in a current-gen 30fps game. It's not as if the graphics are Forza 5-like in quality after all. But tbh I'm less bothered by the, let's not beat about the bush, disappointing graphics than I am by those frame-rate drops. Any dev worth their salt should be able to keep a game locked at 30fps nowadays

It's not all doom though. My Triumph starter bike looks the dogs with its number plate assembly, turn signals and mirrors removed

All in all, for me the game is worth having. Current-gen needs a bike game like this

Xbox One?

Double tap the Xbox button and press Y whilst in the Free Cam on the main menu. Then go to upload and press the menu button on the desired photo and share to either Twitter or ideally, OneDrive. You get plenty of free cloud storage with it and it just uses your Xbox account details. If you add it to your phone, it gives you more storage and auto back up of phone pictures, too.

I'm sat on my lunch reading an old copy of Performance Bike magazine and it's torture lol.

I got the RS250 as my first purchase too, the sound is really bad. If you listen carefully you can hear there's a decent two stroke sound hidden in there among the noises they made by flapping their lips with their fingers and added on top. Considering Milestone have been making bike games for so long, I was expecting better two stroke sounds. The RC30 sounds like an inline 4 but sometimes with a v twin sound added on top, it's not convincing at all. I haven't tried any other v4 bikes to see if they are all like that.
