I use the default button layout, except I inverted look up and look down on the right stick.

I'm using auto tuck in (I tried without, but it didn't feel natural to me to push that button everytime) and semi-automatic gears. All other aids off, Pro handling model and first person view.

AI is set to Hard for the moment.

I just booted my PS3 and ran ride.
I went for quick race, then discovered that my s1000rr loox like a desmo, my CBR fireblade looks like an rc30, my rc30 and desmo are invisible and the mt09 I bought yesterday to do the drag race is also impossible to see.
So I backed out of quick race, and went to world tour.
Guess what, my data is corrupted again.
That's the fifth time since I got the game, erm.... Six days ago.
So I went in anyway with o reputation points, again, but this time, the game completely crashed and locked out the PS3 before it could load world tour mode, so I'm now resetting and posting this while it boots again.

I am absolutely sick of starting from scratch when I know there is no point, but I'd really like to see what the later elite trophy races are.
So much for getting 28 overtakes yesterday

:grumpy:👍

Completed all of the Elite trophy events and they're nothing really too special, to be honest. The biggest draw for them is the reward bikes, which also opens up those bikes for purchase in the dealership. The best way I found to unlock them is to do all the drag race events in all the disciplines, and steer completely clear of the championship events until the patch comes through.
Also worth noting that for a quick few bucks whilst learning circuits and tuning use the Time Trial mode, as you are rewarded 200cr for each completed lap.

If there's enough interest, I'll put together some datasets for the 40 fully tuned bikes I have so far.

Im on PS3,game hasn't lost any data, crashed once, but oil light came on my Speed Triple.:nervous: Only did about 150 miles, when this comes on, does bike loose power?

The game is really buggy on my PC aswell. We have the corruption bugs aswell as the oil bug and not to forget dreadful frame rates. Considering my PC cam run project cars on high with 40 odd fps ride should hit above 30 on the lowest settings. However I'm battling with framerates less than 10. The game should had a delay on PC and it's clearly not a finished product.

The bikes causing and having sound/sample bugs are naked Yamahas in my game so far. Every time i shift up or down, the sample cuts out. Same happens to the AI, which messes up the sound in races where they are competitors.

Did you try this temporary fix Milestone has posted on the Steam forums?

RIDE - VSync and Framerate
Hi Gamers,

if you have some issue with VSync and Refresh Rate please follow this instructions:

For Nvidia cards
1. open "NVIDIA Control Panel"
2. go to "3D Settings -> Adjust image settings with preview"
3. then check “Use the advanced 3D image setting” and click “take me there”
4. click “Add” and choose “RIDE”, then click “add selected program”
5. go to the “vertical sync” option and select “on” or "adaptive sync"

NB: due to the fact that the driver is now managing all the settings, you will have to activate all the other options directly here. The launcher will no longer manage the settings (such as antialiasing, anisotropic filtering, etc.).

For AMD ATI cards
1. go to “AMD Catalyst Control Center”
2. open the “Gaming” tab and click on “3D Application Settings”
3. select “Wait for Vertical Refresh” and choose “Always On”

NB: Now V-Sync will be active for all games.

If you continue to face low framerate please play at windowed mode:
Launch the game -> Video Settings -> Check "Windowed"

Encountered a sound bug as well the last time I played, although in the demo. The sound of my bike got almost muted when having several AI around me. Once I left the pack behind, the engine sound returned but at a very low volume level.

Edit : Actually, it was almost muted right off the bat. I could barely hear my bike while the AI were revving the engines at the start.

Also worth noting that for a quick few bucks whilst learning circuits and tuning use the Time Trial mode, as you are rewarded 200cr for each completed lap.
I know what I'll be doing when I get the game. Thanks for the tip!

:D

I so, so hope they get a big patch sorted by the April 10th release for X1 :nervous:

I hope so for everyone's sake, these are serious bugs that are stopping me (and most likely others) from buying the game, not to mention the frustration of those already committed to it! If its not supported properly going forward then it will be of little more worth, than that of a demo!

I just hope that the release of the next MotoGP game does not distract them from supporting & fixing this game.

Say what you will about the release of DC, but they proved (in my eyes at least) that proper support for a title, and to the community buying into it, is worth a great deal both in terms of game longevity and a sense of customer value!

There is a whole topic of discussion behind this point but, I'm actually OK with a game being released unfinished, if there is planned future development through updates etc. as long as
A) the game is not badly broken in the first place, and
B) they follow through with those promises!

Anyway, enough of me talking, bear with it guys I'm sure the pain will pay off. Has anyone tried making a backup save, before each new session? or is the problem such that as soon as it breaks that it!... Just a thought!

It would be great if they could update us on the progress so far made regarding the corrupt save file issue instead of screwing around posting pictures on Facebook and Twitter.

Anyway, I'll be picking the game up on my way home from work today in a few hours (:D), just in time for the long easter weekend. Not giving my hopes up for a patch, so Time Trial will have to do in the meantime.

A few more shots.

I actually agree with that.

If the game is labelled as early access. Doesn't even have to be sold at a discount or anything, just label it as somewhat unfinished so people know what they're getting themselves into. Plus, people like me who'd buy the game as soon as most of the severe stuff is ironed out would get an idea when to pull the trigger... :indiff: That'd mess with the popular tactic of getting people to buy a game before they know whether it's any good, though, via preorder incentives, I guess...

Damn you @MildAshers , these screen shots are really tempting me to break rank and make a purchase... no doubt once @MXHyland gets his hands on this I'll have to ban myself from the internet. :scared:

:P 👍
It's going to take some time (doing Quick Races and Time Trials only, i.e slow cash flow) but there will be pictures coming. Count on that.

So far I've not encountered the save bug a second time. The only difference is that in my current playthrough, I'm avoiding the Championships, as they're broken anyway. I wonder if the save corruption has anything to do with that.

(I hope I didn't just jinx it and will hit the save bug anyway tonight... :P)

There's no way I'll be touching World Tour until they fix the save file bug. The game has crashed twice already.

:dunce:

Lost the race by 0.033 after falling off the bike on the 2nd lap

Hi all i figured i would put down my feelings on this game here, to get a bit of discussion going.

While i like the game i can't help but feel this game is a missed opportunity for Milestone. The game show excellent potential constantly, however in many has been let down by a number of choices.

the bike selection is great. the wide variety of bikes allow for the player just to race bikes form a favourite period or class. However the selection of bikes in the classes are tremendously unbalanced in some cases. this then leads me on to popular mising types of bikes such as supermotos and dirt bikes. while they may feature in dlc, i feel its ultimately narrowed the type and style of racing.
The customization is somewhat varied however things such as choice of bike colour strike me as being extremely sparse when compared to the wheel rim options. The customisation of bikes also tend to make your bikely insanely quicker than the others on anything less than hard difficulty. i would have really liked to see race modifications such as fairings and other common items such as crash bungs.

The career i feel is possibly the biggest missed opportunity. The career is very reminiscent of what you would find in gt i.e grind till you have the cash and experience to do other events. i personally feel that career would have been much better if it was a actual career where you start of on road bikes doing club events like time trials and sprint races. Then getting invited to do other championships. with the customisation the game could had championships for superstock 600 or 1000 where only a few changes could be made. on the bright side if you grind enough in the naked championships you can go and buy a super bike or a race bike and do the more fun championships.

Overall i feel the game has an excellent foundation. However development choices have held back, what could have been an amazing game. I would personally recommend you hold of buying the game till the bugs have been sorted.

Sounds like every Milestone game, ever. They make games we want, but not the way we want it. I still like them as a developer though, being B-tier and all. I'm just glad someone's making bike games.

Will chime in on the career mode once they've sorted out the bugs and whatnot.
