NASCAR is tactic, and you need good map reader to tell when @TurnLeft.
50 liter fueling cost time, you're waiting refuel after tires have changed.

I got 5 really fast laps per stints and then times dropped bit, but if recalling right last of seven was around 36.5 fast laps were on both sides of flat 36.
This is very true. I haven't made optimum calculations. :banghead:
We need to run like hell and do the maths also, because the lack of a team manager. :grumpy:

@danbojte -- you up for some friendly cat & mouse on the Nordschleife with Ferrari F40s?

P.S. Everyone is invited -- I dont know why I only asked danbojte. Please, if you're interested - let's drive...not a real race. Just some follow the leader driving at breakneck speed!

Sorry, I'm not on my PS3. I'm watching the Indycar Race.

Okay...No worries!! Just thought I would pass along the offer. I used to follow Indy once a year - for the Indianapolis 500. I used to like Rick Mears. :D There is an IMSA race being replayed on television right now as well here in the States. I know you're going to want to kill me for saying this, but try as I might, I can't really get into Formula One anymore. Even though coverage is better than it's ever been in the States, I think its boring. I'm comparing this to the 1980s - 1990s Formula One years which I watched whenever I had a chance.

No, I agree with you 100%. It's hard for me to say this after a lot of years and I never thought I must say it: IT IS BORING. And this is because a wrong management. The Indycar is more entertaining.

Part of me also thinks that the cars themselves are so incredible nowadays that it's making the sport a bit boring. For instance, I can watch race after race and hardly see any passing because unless the car in front of you makes a mistake, its almost impossible to get around him considering both you and he are driving at 100% of the limit of the car/track. Drag Reduction Systems are laughable to me. Ok...you're in 1st place and I can't manage a way to get around you, but since I'm within a second of you at this particular point I am now allowed an aerodynamic advantage over you? That's not fair... Last year we all know what Mercedes did to the rest of the field - destroy them. While I don't mind dominance due to skill, part of me thinks that if Vettel, or Alonso or any other really good driver was in the Mercedes seat they would have been at the top of the rankings too. I might be complete naive in my thoughts and feelings about the sport...I just go based on what I see on the rare chance that I watch it anymore.

All true again. 👍 That is not racing.

Ok, so it's not just me who feels like that. I know how sacred Formula One racing is to some people and I certainly don't want to criticize the sport completely when I have to admit that I do not know nearly as much about F1 racing as I do baseball or basketball, for example. I respect Formula One. I respect what it takes to get to that level of ability where an F1 team is going to trust you to drive their multi-million dollar cars...but from what I remember back in the 80s and even 90s, the sport just seems to have changed significantly...for the worse, not for the better. :(

I always had a slight interest in NASCAR racing. When Dale Earnhardt Sr. returned to Richard Childress racing I deemed him to be "my guy" and was very lucky to watch him grab a few championships over the course of the next several years. His death was tragic. His son became "my guy" in the sport of NASCAR and now that I was much older I was really getting into the nuances of the sport. NASCAR is a hell of a lot more than turning left. Unfortunately, in the last 3-4 years I've pretty much abandoned NASCAR completely. I can't even tell you the last time I watched a race. I got so sick and tired of spending 3-4 hours watching a race only to see some jerkoff in 30th position wreck with 15 laps to go and then I watch as the race finishes under caution or maybe you'll get the Green Flag with 1 or 2 laps to go. I don't have any data to back me up, and perhaps this seemed like it happened more than it actually did, but I know I witnessed that type of finish many times...too many times. And it always seemed to happen when a driver in 2nd or 3rd place is starting to put a charge on. Maybe he just moved up three or four spots and he's running a couple of seconds faster, per lap, than the leader. You start getting all excited for an epic finish...and then the Yellow Flag comes out. W.T.F.?! :banghead:

YES!! I absolutely love the Blancpain GT series. That's probably my favorite series right now. The United States is on the right track with their new TUDOR United SportsCar Championship. Sometimes I don't like to see Prototypes on the track at the same time as GT cars though... I just subscribed to your channel, so keep the races coming if you can. I often forget to watch them on TV at home. 👍

Purple and red cars and 1 without aero C? I thought the tune said black, white, or silver??:dopey: Sounds like you guys had a blast.👍

I think the color recommendation is just Ridox's suggestion. Danbojte can correct me if I am wrong about that. Personally, I think the more variety on the race track the better! :) Great job with the eagle eyes, catching that Purple car driving without the proper aero package. Who was driving in purple today? That person just won a free castration! :D No, seriously...it is good to review the videos and still frame photos afterwards. Not that I believe anyone would ever intentionally side-step the rules, but just to serve as a reminder that mistakes were made. Now where did I place my razor blade?! Cuz those balls are coming off!! :sly:

Do you think you'll be able to join us on the track from time to time, @Lionheart2113?

 The purple one was @Ridox2JZGTE. He must obey to your verdict.
Now seriously, the colors are free for the car and wheels if it's not stipulated.
The aero parts must be respected exactly if you don't want to be punished like Ridox will be. Man, I meant to be serious, but I can't keep myself. The punishment for the purple car has to be raised because it hasn't racing numbers too (I saw that in the replay). :mischievous: :sly:

I enjoy NASCAR even if sometimes the finish is disappointing like you've said, but these cases are exceptions.
There are fantastic battles and pure racing most of the time. I'll watch tomorrow's race also.

PS: Thanks for subscribing. 👍

Hmmm...Can we kick someone out of the fan club based on their name? Boy, this is a tricky situation...but he just refuses to follow the rules!! I say you give him a pass this time, but I'll keep my knife close by in case he shows up without a number plate again. :sly: :D Before anyone thinks I'm being serious, let me assure you that I am only joking. :P

Someone snapped this photo of my GT6 cars all out on the track. At the rate I'm going, this isn't going to be far from the truth very soon.

I'm so sorry I missed the race today guys :( I had a bout of sleeplessness that ended while watching the MotoGP practice sessions on the couch. Slept right through till 8pm :banghead: Looks like you guys had a blast anyway. TL got another podium 👍 Nice work my friend. ALB that car looks good in purple :) Put the razor away  And the red

@danbojte. I also want to apologise for not getting last weekend race reports done and up :embarrassed: My head's not in the game right now. And I do want to do these, they're a lot of fun 👍 Other than driving great cars and working on EAG stuff, it's all I really have much interest in right now :) I've had my fill of the who says what stuff and I just want to enjoy myself here. You guys are great fun and it's been nothing but good times in the past few weeks and months with all of you.

Oh and @Lionheart2113. Welcome to the club 👍 Glad you came to join in the fun :)

P.S If someone would be so kind. Would you mind sharing the replay's :)

I think my purple car had the correct rear wing, but I forgot to put racing number

The race was quite fun :) I was easing on my pace at times during the race as I got closer to other cars, can't really push it as I'm afraid if I lag, I will cause destruction to nearby cars

TC: Yes the car does look fantastic in purple! Unfortunately, that isn't my car...That purple people eater belongs to the man, the myth, the legend...Ridox. :P Did you notice his blatant infraction: not installing aero? THAT is what the knife is for. ;)

I missed the races too. I missed race #1 because I fell asleep after trying to just stay awake all night. The worst part is, danbojte told me "Go grab some sleep ALB..." and I thought it would be better to just stay awake, run my races and then hit the sack. Then, I woke up in time for race #2, but I started experiencing horrible glitches from the cars of danbojte & OdeFinn (everyone else appeared fine). I panicked during one of these graphical glitches and spun sideways. I literally watched my tire meter go down from 4 to 1 as my car slid sideways. It was hilarious after the fact. Anyway, then I was just disconnected after pitting and getting back on the track.

I think I know what the problem was and I believe it was on my end. I don't know if any of you guys remember me asking "Is GTPlanet loading very slowly for you guys?" sometime in the middle of the night. Well, after the racing was all done and I was just bopping around on my laptop I noticed several websites were loading painfully slow. I ran a speedtest.net test and received a whopping 2-3 Mbit downstream speed and 4-5 Mbit upstream speed. Not quite the 100 Mbit I pay for. Anyhow, I unplugged my modem for 60 seconds and upon re-connection to Charter I was then receiving over 100 Mbit downstream speed. So, the problem was clearly on my end... :banghead:

From now on, I have to remember to double-check my connection speed/ping time before we begin our Saturday races. A simple reboot of the modem would probably have prevented all of the issues I experienced on Motegi Raceway. :guilty: :dunce:

I thought the purple would have been your's at first. Then I htought ALB said it was him . I was surprised to see you in the race photo though :) Shame I missed it :( Better watch out. I believe the going rate for violation of the rules in regards to the GT number plates use is 40 push-ups

The lag issues are a pain :irked:. Usually as long as the car doesn't do anything unexpected then the lag is minimised. That's what happened to danbojte in Suzuka a few weeks back when he spun out following me. Everything was fine until I had a little slide and by the time I'd caught it Dan was just getting the visual information that I had slid. You can see the delays quite clearly if you watch the replays from both cars 👍 I've lost count of the times that it's spoiled an otherwise great race on-line. Some people even turn the collisions off so it doesn't cause so many issues. I'm not a big fan of this, it spoils the fun a bit 👎 You get some people using the full amount of draft they can then drive straight through the car in front  It's like watching over-layed TT replays :odd: That's not racing :yuck:

Did you notice his blatant infraction: not installing aero? THAT is what the knife is for. ;)
No, I hadn't actually  Is that going to be 80 push-ups when the stewards find out then?

Personally I'd advise everyone reset their router and run connection test before long on-line sessions. Clear the in-game Cache too 👍 I've had a lot less hassles with the on-line issues since someone told me to do that often :)

Ooh...Good idea about clearing the in-game cache. I will start doing that as well. When I had my on-track incident today, one of the first things I thought of while my car was refueling was "Wow...I've never experienced something like this before!"

I think 80 push-ups should a perfectly fine penance... :sly:

You're totally right about disabling collisions. Having to avoid drivers IS racing. Driving straight through them? Not so much... I'll bet if we all start double-checking our connections we shouldn't have these issues anymore. Today was clearly my fault. I won't let that happen again. Ugh...It was so embarrassing. :embarrassed: Not only did I get disconnected while driving, but then I came back into the race lobby, just to watch the rest of the race and I was disconnected from the lobby server again! :yuck: :banghead: Well, I learned another lesson this week. Don't try to race with drivers all over the world when my connection is 🤬 up! :D

I've just come to expect it :) I've been mostly racing on-line for the past 3 or 4 years and it's always been happening. GT6 has been far more stable than GT5 was for this IMO. It does get frustrating sometimes and I have had plenty of DCs in my time too :grumpy:

It's been a small price to pay for me though. I've met some great people through playing GT5 and 6. I regularly meet up with some friends from various parts of this country (UK:)) and have a good time just chatting on-mic and racing. It's never too serious and we always try to respect each other on track. We even have a few visitors from overseas we've met too that come and join when they can 👍 All great guys that love cars and playing GT and like to have fun and a laugh whilst doing it :D It does get pretty hard to concentrate sometimes though

No need to apologize @Thorin Cain. I love the reviews but you have to do them when/if you can without any stress. 👍

I agree with you two about the collision use. We're doing the right way, just a little care for the connection is needed. :)

@Ridox2JZGTE I'm sorry but the sentence is pronounced - 80 push-ups must be done. You are free to split them in two series.
Nobody is above the law.

Sir, yes sir, 80 push ups in 2 minutes :D

@ALB123 I've got the 300SL built, some practice in, and pit stradegy somewhat figured out. I'm ready for the chaos this next week...as long as the warden doesn't hide the keys.:scared:
It's a fun car, I don't drive much on Comfort:Medium, but I managed...just. It was the brakes, or lack of, that caught me out a few times.

Can't wait to watch me just few seconds away from finish  and the crash into the wall that costs me the chance to win

In the race, my car seemed slower in acceleration into the straight

Saw the replay, only seconds away to finish line and the timer almost, almost then puff

The crash !! Odefinn was sideways entering the smaller turn, but I thought he got his car under control, then I decided to take high line and get closer to wall to avoid any risk, but Odefinn went wider all of sudden and I was flat on throttle

Twin Ring Motegi Super Speedway_5.jpg

Then, straight to pits :) I made a mistake on the last pit stop, should have filled only with 25L of fuel :banghead: That way I can exit the pit earlier ( 2 seconds would give me a chance to win ) and be quicker as the car is lighter and easier on the tires. When Rman72 exit the last pit stop, I was about 2s behind and can see both Rman and Danbojte :P
