THAT is an awesome photo, danbojte! 👍 ...and once again, ALB123 isn't in the awesome photograph because he was asleep in his recliner, holding onto his steering wheel. :banghead:

Thanks Dan

Re: Next event. 👍
Can't wait to watch me just few seconds away from finish  and the crash into the wall that costs me the chance to win

In the race, my car seemed slower in acceleration into the straight

Saw the replay, only seconds away to finish line and the timer almost, almost then puff

The crash !! Odefinn was sideways entering the smaller turn, but I thought he got his car under control, then I decided to take high line and get closer to wall to avoid any risk, but Odefinn went wider all of sudden and I was flat on throttle

Then, straight to pits :) I made a mistake on the last pit stop, should have filled only with 25L of fuel :banghead: That way I can exit the pit earlier ( 2 seconds would give me a chance to win ) and be quicker as the car is lighter and easier on the tires. When Rman72 exit the last pit stop, I was about 2s behind and can see both Rman and Danbojte :P

It's great to hear your accounts from the race :) And the crash :ouch: That is one super cool picture  It makes me regret missing the event even more :( But almost makes me feel I was there :) Very cool 👍

There's gonna be one of these events where I am not going to be last. 👍 :mischievous:

It's either a car or track or both, but I Will get better and I Will be in the running and Not looking at all your rear taillights :odd: :yuck: as they fade away 👎 :irked:

Don't get me wrong, :dopey: I am having a lot of fun doing this,
It's making me a better driver!!

I just wanted to let everyone know that I might not make it to this weekends events. It's not like I make it half the time anyway, considering I fall asleep clutching the steering wheel, or I have a migraine and can barely open my eyes, etc...etc... but those are all unplanned absences. Maybe I will be able to make it - I just wanted everyone to know in advance. That's all.

I'll be glad if the things will change and you'll be on the Start line. 👍

Actually, I'm going to just drive... I went into Round 4 of GT Academy. A) That car is the biggest piece of crap on 4 wheels. B) The force feedback is so obnoxious, I'm not sure I'm even going to participate in the event! I'm serious... I finished a single lap, driving very slowly as to not hit the cones (more on that later), so I've gotten the car now. Yes, it would be nice to get 2,000,000 credits for getting a Gold time. But, I don't even know if I'm capable of getting Gold. I'm sure they made this event incredibly difficult, as they should. But, I'm not going to possibly damage my wheel over some contest that I'm not good enough to win or even eligible due to age. We'll see...but right now I'm leaning toward not even doing it. That's why I won't run rally courses. For those of you who use a controller, you have no idea how lucky you are for this event. The car hops around violently the entire lap! I can't imagine that the real car is as bad as it's portrayed in GT6. No freakin' way...

EDIT: I should mention that I'm not really a big fan of FWD cars to begin with... But then you add in all the other crap.

Tried quarter of lap with wheel and decided to leave that car alone, grabbing DS3 controller on hands and drove first time ever full lap of any car with it on my whole GT era. 5 min something (put ALL aids on and laughed while driving with d-pad and x around track) to just get car. Why on the hell I bothered to do that, that car will be never go track on my wheel and I'm not starting to learn how drive with DS3.. Maybe I can cash that car by selling it, gonna check that.

But totally agreeing in both A and B.
If you have any respect on your wheel, don't use it with this car.

You guys know of course know that they use this one to find the best for the academy, I'm guessing that I would be a very bad LMP car driver with the results I got, and I pretty sure my guess is right on :D. Very few people know how these handle IRL and I think Nissan has most likely had it tested by some seasoned pilots before giving the OK, you guys are very good drivers but the car might be spot on for reality, I admit I can't handle that thing, it's over my talent and most important over the practice time required that I have and want to give.

On another note, Montreal GP this weekend 👍, checked this morning for tickets , all sold out :odd:. Just hope it's going to be a typical Montreal GP :cool:. (if were lucky - a little rain to spice things up)

@TurnLeft car simulation might be accurate, but how they simulate FFB on G27 is brutal, only insane will kill his wheel with this. Actual car on my quarter lap was behaving fine, as fwd can, tried several FFB settings to get sharpness of clanking minimised but nope, there was no choice what can be used to save gearings of my wheel.

After academy (or maybe even during it) they'll release FFB update on this car, they can't just break customers racing wheels, you may say it's because or reality simulation, but that's bs, there has to be line how far you can reach for realism, not so far at you start breaking customers equipment.

@OdeFinn ,, sorry my friend, I really didn't know about the wheel , I use the PS3 controller , I did try one once and didn't like it that much, the force feedback did do some weird things :nervous:, maybe they should tell us on which wheel they made their tests with and with what settings, that would at least help us understand what's going on 👍. I didn't enjoy that competition much either, me & LMP's have a love/hate relation, I love to hate them , (because "I" can't drive them :sly:), one exception, the Toyota 7, it's like a wild horse that just wants to kick you off, you keep getting back on and it keeps knocking you off, when you're too bruised up you go and rest and a few days later you say to yourself "today's the day I master you", it's been more than a year and that thing still won't listen to me .

Hope to see you on the track this saturday 👍, always a pleasure to have good drivers there to follow .

I spent about an hour on GT Academy RD 4. I completed ONE lap that wasn't red-flagged or DQ'ed for hitting a cone. My one time was good enough for Silver and I'm not certain I'll even try to run any more events. I'm dead serious, it has nothing to do with the event just being too difficult for me (maybe it is, maybe I could eventually get Gold), it's because I'm seriously afraid of my wheel being damaged from the FFB of this car/track combo! :nervous: :irked:

Running practice room, misspelled but practice still.. :)
Car feels lovely, great work on EAG.
Will update some flying lap time soon..
My black-ops..black panther take 8:50.861 as driven on smooth race pace, seems like we're taking four laps and had to get more fluid for engine..

I observe you guys have the tendency to postpone the Join action to the event.
Could you confirm then, here your presence or tentative at the Start, please, to have a picture about the Event?

Thanks.
I'm in. Or at least, I will be if I can stay awake/get up on time :D (I'll try my best)

Just seen this as I was going off. Was away running some seasonal events to get some well needed credits. I'd have loved to come in and have a practice, but I have to go to bed now :(
Glad you're liking the car

8:50.861  Ok, I can kiss my chances goodbye already then  Nice 👍

I created practice room from events, and named it as "Merc Practise".. Dunno but maybe that is right too. Sometimes English just surprises me..
Oh I see. I thought I was misspelled something. :D I think it is correct as well. :) 👍

Finally, someone has visited the Event Post. :mischievous:  ;)
It looks good too 👍 Nice work again my friend :)

Unfortunately I am withdrawing my entry :( I'd much rather race with you guys, but I have things I need to take care of IRL.

I've taken some great advice from a really great friend and need to take some time to re-balance a few things ;) Mostly myself.

I'm wondering what I'm missing because my base car wasn't black, it was silver, maybe different interior color? I have now ivory steering wheel, how's yours?
