I'm wondering what I'm missing because my base car wasn't black, it was silver, maybe different interior color? I have now ivory steering wheel, how's yours?
The first one I bought was silver too with a red interior. I think most base colours in dealership have different interior colours. We just chose the black base to find a nice interior for matching new paint with.

Well, there is a 99% chance I will be missing at least the first race this weekend. I have to go for blood work first thing in the morning Saturday (they open at 7:30am). Now, whether I was trying to race or not I would do my best to get there before 7:30am because all the blue hairs and old geezers who wake up at 4:30am like to get there early too. So I want to make sure I get in and out before there is a line of elderly people. I even asked my doctor if I could do it on Sunday, but he said that the lab doesn't open until 10am on Sunday - and it's short staffed - and this blood test needs to be done early in the morning when your body's cortisol level is usually it's highest.

Anyway...Hopefully I will get back in time for the 2nd and/or 3rd races. This really ticks me off because the Nordschleife is one of my better tracks. However, all of you guys seem to be driving the EAG Mercedes around the 'Ring a lot -- I have literally only done 1 lap, the day the build was released. My time was satisfactory for my first drive with the car...but compared to what you guys are doing now - I probably would have been left in the dust.

@ALB123 only two races coming, so hopefully you get on later or both, 7:50 starting first, 9:20 second race.

I have now 5 laps with that car, tomorrow maybe taking few laps, but probably fixing my BTR and some other old tunes. Figured some really big and stupid mistake on almost all of my tunes. BTR started feel way much better, not so slippery, more realistic and I'm using CS tires with it. 1:03 at Tsukuba noABS and lot of fun.

It looks good too 👍 Nice work again my friend :)

Unfortunately I am withdrawing my entry :( I'd much rather race with you guys, but I have things I need to take care of IRL.

I've taken some great advice from a really great friend and need to take some time to re-balance a few things ;) Mostly myself.
Thank you, my friend. That's bad you can't make it but RL first always. 👍

If I remember right, the interior changes according to the base color, @Thorin Cain & @Brewguy44 surely can give you some better info for that 👍
My choice was black and I have a beige interior (if I remember well :D ).

Hopefully you'll catch the second race.

BTW, due to the high difficulty level of the track, everybody is expected to have patience and do not enforce an early overtaking, there is plenty of time to do that. :mischievous: :)

And the slower racers are NOT required to let the faster ones to overtake just because they are faster. One defending (blocking) maneuver is allowed. ;)

But shutting door on last second is not good manner, meaning if guy is on your side, don't ram on it, gently/slowly door closing can be done like that if opponent is clearly behind of you and you both aren't on braking zone of corner, when entering side by side on braking zone both should keep their sides and leave living space to opponent, this normally means slower entry/mid/exit from that corner because both needs to take driving line what's not optimal for fast driving, but optimal for safe driving through corner, that's cost of fair racing.

Mutcurve is not a place where to try overtake, too high speeds to manage two cars own safe driving lines.

Flygplats can be used for overtaking, but both drivers have see this coming, and drivers behind have take caution about this overtaken on front of them, they might run corner slower so don't push too hard, you're behind and your role is watch what's happening on front of you.

Remember always, car front of you is guy who controls braking point of upcoming corner, so be careful behind, this doesn't mean at guy at front can do brake testing or on purpose brake way too early, but you have to first learn what type of braking guy on front of you is typically doing before going close on braking zone.

If you drive out, you have made mistake, don't put others to pay for it, join track safely!
If your car is damaged take really seriously how you drive it after that, again don't put others to pay your cars damage.
Even you drove out because of somebody else or break your car because someone else above still apply, problem is yours and keep it that way. Afterwards you can give all credits to guy who damaged your car etc, not excuses why you damaged others because someone first did it to you.

Exactly. 👍

One thing more, braking zone can be used for overtaking in good manners, IF you run side by side in to braking zone and guy on your side brakes way earlier(in terms of racing, surrenders to your overtake) you may continue with overtaking, but still take corner carefully and leave space to your opponent, or if you're 100% sure at he brake so early at you can use corner fully, then use it.

This doesn't mean at divebombing in corner is anyway acceptable.

Yes, my friend, all these and others are stipulated here:

Hope my German sat nav lady is better than my American one, just as we started last week she said to turn right in 200 yards.
I was like WTF!!!!

I've got all the practice in that will help me battle at the rear of the pack! I had to do a few laps with ABS off, and I thought the brakes were bad before!:scared:
How early do you open the room for practice @danbojte ?
A Practice Event is already created in the Club. You can join there to practice. 👍
The Race room for Warm Up session will be opened about 30 min before the Race.

I'm glad to have you in.

Nice race guys 👍, I had a really bad day at the races :grumpy:. I`m really having trouble on this track, especially staying concentrated, BTW @Lionheart2113 , the sand box was great the first 2 laps, but it got a bit mushy when the rain came in .

Congrats to
1st. @RMan72 , great win

3rd. @danbojte , that was a hell of a comeback from the rear, hope you get a better starting position on the next race 👍
