@TurnLeft the 370Z is a little bit less thirsty than the TT so i kinda took a risk and had no fuel at the end of the big straight, on the last race @Thorin Cain passed me cuz i was on eco mode i run out of fuel right before the finish.
Damn :grumpy:, I was sure you had found a shortcut  ( and you would secretly tell me where it is :sly:). Wish I could have stayed to race with you guys some more, sorry for that power out you had, that must have been so disappointing.

I appreciate the understanding, @TurnLeft!

I know I chopped off a lot of time on danbojte's lead in that last lap, BUT...he eased up a bit because he had such a big lead. If he kept at his lap 1 and lap 2 pace - I would have been lucky to get 1 or 2 seconds back at most. He can drive, we all know that! I really screwed up that first race. I was running well until I hit danbojte by trying a very foolish pass - so I did the right thing and pulled aside to let him take the position back. Unfortunately, I let off the gas so much that he re-took the lead and took off like a rocket! And then when I rear ended you, I had to do the same thing...Just poor, poor driving on my part.

I can drive decently when I have no one around me. Because then it's just like driving a hot lap. What really separates some of the better drivers from me is they can keep up that hot lap type of pace even with people in front of them or behind them. Driving with you guys has been so much fun! After a year and 5 months of me just doing hot laps or racing against the pathetic AI, I am finally getting a chance to work on "race craft". I couldn't ask for a nicer bunch of people to drive with...I really appreciate everything you all bring to the table. You all are making me a better driver/racer and more importantly, you all make it so enjoyable - even if I come in last place, I know I'd have a good time racing with all of you... 👍

I just wanted to thank you, once again @danbojte, for putting together a fantastic club event. I'd really like to hear your post racing assessment of the Audi TT-RS and Nissan 370Z cars. For anybody who has driven both of the vehicles, I would love to hear your thoughts on these two cars as well. I didn't spend a lot of time driving the Audi TT-RS this past week because I just loved driving the Nissan so much. Even before Ridox published the 370Z Sport Pacakage there was something I really liked about the car...

When we were in the Club Race Room I made the comment that I believed the Nissan 370Z Sport Package needed a few more Performance Points in order to have a more accurate Balance of Power (BOP). And maybe that PP adjustment only needs to be 2 or 3 points, but I do think the Audi TT-RS is just a tiny bit "better" of an overall performer. It seemed to me that the Audi could really out accelerate the Nissan on the track. However, I think the Nissan was slightly better in the twisty sections.

The only reason I felt the Nissan was a little better in the twisty sections is because those seemed to be the areas where I could start shortening the gap between my 370Z and whomever was in front of me with an Audi TT. Unfortunately, whenever I seemed to close the gap a little bit on an Audi in front of me, we would encounter a hilly section of the circuit and the Audi's would just pull away from me like nothing. Then I would catch back up a little bit and then we would encounter a speedier section and the Audi would pull away again.

I'm wondering if it is the looseness of the Nissan which seems to make it run through the corners a little faster. The 4WD system on the Audi might be suffering from a little bit more understeer which translates into a slightly slower cornering car. On the faster sweeping turns the Audi is probably not hampered at all by the 4WD system and actually probably benefited by the phenomenal grip.

Also, the Audi enjoys a slightly advantageous weight difference, being 26kgs lighter. I don't think that made a tremendous difference, but it never hurts to be a little bit lighter than the competition.

I just like to have conversations about these wonderful automobiles that Ridox builds for us. This isn't an attempt to make any excuses for one vehicle or another. Frankly, I would really like to see danbojte organize more events where we can choose which vehicle we drive instead of everybody driving the same exact car. I don't mind everyone driving the same exact car. I think that can be a lot of fun too, but I do like to have options. In this particular case, danbojte happened to pick two cars that were extremely different, but very closely balanced in terms of potential.

So, for those of you who have spent time with both of the cars, what do you think were the pro's & con's of each vehicle?

So, for those of you who have spent time with both of the cars, what do you think were the pro's & con's of each vehicle?

Both have pro and cons :

370Z pro : FR, looser and more easier to turn in, while still stable. Good balance on medium to high speed. Good brakes.
cons : oversteer on low speed, heavy feel, slower acceleration above 100mph, stiff springs may cause the car jumps around on bumpy track. Gear ratio a bit wide on higher gears. Can bite back when not careful.

TT-RS : AWD, very stable and easy to stay on the limit. Superior acceleration above 100mph with close ratio 6 speed manual or 7 speed AT. Good handling on all speed, except on the lowest speed turns. No oversteer, simply point and shoot. Softer springs more suited on bumpy track than the 370Z. Very forgiving.
cons : Understeer on lower speed, needs good trail braking and good judgment on entry speed. Eats up front tires faster than the rear, which might cause more push when worn.

I'm thinking another pair for next race, both Italian, maybe 512BB vs Countach 25th Anniversary ( both on CS ) or the 450PP online race tune FF cars ( little hatch - Mini, March, CRZ and Demio Sport ) The online 450PP FF should be similar in performance as they were built with a few tenths in lap time to each other on their original 435PP limit.

@TurnLeft @ALB123 @Ridox2JZGTE Thank you for the kind words and all. 👍
The two cars battle was at the end well equalised both with pros and cons very well highlighted by @Ridox2JZGTE. Actually both got their gold medal.

There will be in the future one make events also among with other combinations. ;)

The next place we will need to fly to is Bathurst: Mount Panorama so make your reservations. :sly:

Thank you all of you for everything.

Since i got disconnect due to power issues, i couldn't save the replay from all the races, i could give an excuse like, the footage was stolen or burned or whatever so i only have race no.2 and 3 or was it 4 races in total???

Anyway off with the pics

Nürburgring Nordschleife_1.jpg

I really dig this color, reminds me on the back of the CDs

Nürburgring Nordschleife_2.jpg

Nürburgring Nordschleife_3.jpg

TWINS!!

Nürburgring Nordschleife_4.jpg

I didn't memorise the numbers of each pilot (yeah same thing goes for names and faces xD)

Nürburgring Nordschleife_5.jpg

Nürburgring Nordschleife_6.jpg

The TT-RS sure have a very good accelaration, no wheel spin got me straight to the lead

Nürburgring Nordschleife_7.jpg

I reall like thos picture.

Nürburgring Nordschleife_8.jpg

@Brewguy44 beautiful RS

Nürburgring Nordschleife_9.jpg

At the back @danbojte and @ALB123 ??? i think

Nürburgring Nordschleife_10.jpg

Overtake no.1

Nürburgring Nordschleife_11.jpg

Overtake no.2

Nürburgring Nordschleife_12.jpg

@RMan72 and me on a head to head battle, the TT-RS is beautifully planted and very precise but the 370Z was catching up slowly

Nürburgring Nordschleife_13.jpg

Now about that crash.... i here how it goes, i don't know the names of the sections but i think everyones knows what part was it lol. i braked to late,

Nürburgring Nordschleife_14.jpg

@RMan72 does exactly the same thing and slams against the wall, 2 seconds later @Thorin Cain goes off track on the exact same place, the only one who goes unwarmed is @ALB123

Nürburgring Nordschleife_15.jpg

whle @danbojte wanted to go even more stylish, he decided to go backwards, how awesome is that!!! LOL

Nürburgring Nordschleife_16.jpg

Nürburgring Nordschleife_17.jpg

Meanwhile at the back @Brewguy44 was cruising without any accident, i bet when he saw all those tires marks on the track he was like WTF happend here lol

Nürburgring Nordschleife_18.jpg

I spot with my little eye something yellow

Nürburgring Nordschleife_19.jpg

I did a really big mistake here and @Thorin Cain and @RMan72 passed me right away...

Nürburgring Nordschleife_20.jpg

From another angle @danbojte was also getting ready to overtake the black TT.

From this point forwards all the cars had really big dents and scratches so i didn't took any more pics, look at @Thorin Cain no.46 already beaten up, and that was on the 1st lap

well i hope you all enjoy them, i don't put crazy angle or any effect, i just like them natural, just how i like boobs... nvm that, anyway, if anyone wants the original pics i have them saved on a PEN drive, just ask me.

Great job, @joaosoarescso! I think the photos look great just the way that they are. Boy, I was so lucky to escape the craziness that happened at Aremberg on that first lap. Phew... :nervous:

Great color on that Audi, @Brewguy44! It looks really good... 👍

So, it looks like we are all heading to Australia to take on Mount Panorama... :nervous: I have a feeling I will be sending my car(s) in for some bodywork and new paint after running on that track. It should definitely be an interesting event. :D I just hope I don't spend too much time bouncing off the walls.

Hey @danbojte -- I noticed it says that we need to have SH & SM tires for the next event. Is that because the tires must be staggered? Like SH in front an SM in rear, or something? Could you clarify the tire situation please?

Yeah i was thinking about that also, but the DK NSX-R haves alot of grip even with comfort soft tires all around, took me about 20 mins to get the hang of it, but being gentle with the throttle i can average 110 kmh on the S turns in suzuka without touching the breaks.

So either way its going to be fun!!!

I haven't built mine yet. I actually wasn't planning on building it because I already have a few NSX's, but since it's being used for this weekend's race, I have to...

No, not mixed. :) One pit stop is mandatory and one tyre type changing is mandatory. In other words, you have to make at least one lap with SH and at least one lap with SM. Here comes personal strategy for each racer.

@danbojte  First I get mentally prepares to tackle The Mountain :nervous: Then I find out you've had a change of heart and decided to honour Keiichi Tsuchiya by holding an event at Suzuka with his personal Type-R. That's made my weekend 👍
Nice call with the mandatory pit and tyre change too. It'll be interesting to see how the events unfold :)

Oh, also. was the racing number being on the GT background mentioned for the last one? :nervous: It's the first time I'd ever put a number on without it too :embarrassed:
