@TurnLeft
I watched the 1st Race's replay. I can't believe how you've lost your 2nd position in the last corner... :eek: :irked:

Edit: And an advice if I'm allowed - if you must give back the position to someone, you don't have to stop your car, just slow down, just a very little and he'll pass you. 👍

Once I realized what I'd done I felt really guilty about the way I started, but my lead was pretty big by then and I just stopped, only when @Thorin Cain hit me did I get back in the race.

That R2 is a sneaky little robot
Yeah he's really sneaky :lol:, BTW I managed to get a bit closer to you on the GVE Seasonal, I tried a Ford GT, a couple of Vision Cars, SS-II Tommy Kaira, Elise 111R (which did quite well, only .100 from my new score), RX500 plus a couple of others, finally tried the GSX and got closer, good time you have there dude. 👍

Had a 1:08.1 with my Gt40.
Got a 1:06.444 using my sons account in a GSX-R bit of tweaking should net a 1:05.9xx

I'm liking the NASCAR event as well

I just ran my first tests with the LP560, so there's going to be at least 1 pit stop :sly:, even Mr. Economy ;) won't be able to rally the finish line on one tank. Tire choice will be crucial, so will tire wear, a couple of slips and the left rear tire takes a heavy beating. The fast drivers who push to the limit will take a lead rapidly but will lose that advantage as their tires wear thin fast, those running a bit smoother and slower will keep an average speed more uniformly, the ones who can run fast and not burn off the rubber will win the race. Now the question is, to which of these groups do you belong? We'll find out saturday :D.

Thanks for the Feedback. :) 👍

Thanks for the Feedback. :) 👍
Your welcome, I've tried the 3 types of tires and for me :crazy:, it's going to be SS all the way, if you're careful the tire wear is still controllable and the lap times are faster overall, even when it comes time to pit, but that is for me, I'm not actually leading in the championship am I! :lol:

It's going to be fun seeing who will make it out alive, My fastest lap was 1:45.5xx , this was done as if in race mode, but I had the driving line on :embarrassed:, so there still is some heavy learning to do :grumpy:. I know I could go much faster but the tire wear will make me pay in the end, I think there's still a minimum of 1 second to try to get without cooking the rubber.

1:45 online is fast imo, this event seems to be once again where I'm just checking tail lights. Didn't feel comfortable on Gallardo in any way, gonna kill tires or just check run out areas, still planning to enter race and try to keep up..

Suddenly I feel a doubt about my lap time :odd:, when I get a chance I'll go back to try, I suffer from slight dyslexia, could be 1:54 :rolleyes:, anyways I've got to go learn the braking zones without the driving line, and I'm not worrying about you, I'm sure you'll be doing fine here, much to fine if you ask me :lol:.

Just came back from a small 2*8 lap session, in my first run I couldn't get below the mid 1:47 and I was beating up my tires pretty bad.

On the second run I calmed down and took it easy, one lap that I did really clean but seemed a bit slow was my best lap at 1:45.153 :crazy:, on the semi circle curve I kept my speed to not hear the tires screeching, out of every curve I would wait before giving full gas to be aligned straight as to minimize the rear tires spin, but that was my best lap, my average was in between 1:46.5 & 1:47.5. I think that with a lot of practice I could get in the 1:44.5xx . Wish I could put my own track markers for my braking points :D.

When you get a chance to try it can you tell me how you are doing, I think that some of the drivers will be a bit faster than me, but maybe Mister Rubber will trip them up on the last lap :lol:. I still have to figure how much fuel to put and my braking points on the long straight and the chicane :banghead: needs a lot of work.

@TurnLeft that's sounding like a good solid time there 👍 I've not had a chance to build and test the car yet. I'll let you know how it goes :)

If anyone is not too familiar with the track check the video linked below.

They discuss the track in some good detail and show different lines for some of the corners Also pointing out a few places to be wary of :mischievous:

The main NSX battle at the end shows how the drivers all take different routes through a couple.of the key corners. Some sticking to the inside some taking wider approaches and late apexing on the 100R corner and the final corner.

Got a brand new 51" plasma 1080p set :) GT6 simply looks gorgeous, natural colors, excellent contrast, pure white and black, smooth motion, and awesome depth of field unlike LCD :P Just spent 15 minutes driving the Pagani Huayra in cockpit view, no HUD, at Midfield .... on CS, ... wow, the response time is so low that I can feel the immediate response of driving the car with DS2 stick ... feels like playing old arcade Sega F355, direct, responsive and very natural. Now when the rear end started to give way, I can sense it better :eek: The Huayra feels unlike Huayra back with my old Sammy LCD :scared: No abs braking also feels more natural now as I can threshold / modulate the brakes much finer. Sitting at about 1-1.5m away, it looks immersive :lol:

Busy calibrating the TV, used Furious 7 BR for test run :) Very happy with the quality in dark room ... now I need to break in the TV for about 100-200hours :cool:

@Ridox2JZGTE happy for you, I'm happy with my old Sony 40" LED what gives me imo good input lag, 21ms.

Thanks :) It took weeks to decide my purchase, and I'm satisfied with the tv. It has 6.5ms response time, which is very good and the 1st time I play GT6 again, I can feel the difference, pressing the gas and brake is whole lot natural, steering feels smoother too even with my old worn out DS2. The best of all is the picture quality, I played on 720p with GT6 on 51" tv and sitting close, the graphics still looks sharp and the colors/contrast/black +white level helps brings the depth in cockpit view stand out :) I can now read the gear indicator on Pagani Huayra clearly even on 720p :D

@Ridox2JZGTE, if that 6.5ms is actual input delay it means you are always one frame ahead of me.:)

One frame ? How do you calculate that ? As far as I know 6.5ms, that would be good for up to 150fps game ( 1000/6.5 ), 21ms would be 1000/21 = 47.62 fps. In a game with 60fps, on a tv with 21ms response time / input lag, the delay would be up to 12 frames ( a button press could take 12 frames to actually shown on screen ) Am I right ? I don't know if this is really how it's calculated :lol:

The 6.5 ms is what claimed in the spec, while my old Sammy LCD has 18ms response time, the change is huge :)

Backbone says something like ~15ms is average time what is needed to procedure one full frame on screen.. Googling that might get actual answer, this info has just melted on my backbone, so checking it won't hurt.

You're probably looking pixel response time, what's not same as input lag..

Oh, okay :) My old sammy LCD has annoying lag for sure, I played Battlefield BC2 a lot, and Mortal Kombat 9 :) The lag is even worse when playing shooter games. My mates told me 16ms response time is minimum for 60fps games to avoid issues like ghosting, blur, input lag etc, less than 10ms is preferred, PC monitor, the good ones for gaming usually has 2-5ms response time ( about 8ms average I would say )

@Ridox2JZGTE, 16.67ms for 60fps :) there that ~15ms came.
Monitors are capable much faster image processing than tv's. There comes refresh rate to limit fps, if your monitor is 100hz you just can't get it showing more than 100fps.
Plasma and "600" is not comparable to monitor or LCD/led 240 etc. But that's not biggest point. More or less user feels or not delay, I'm noticing some minor delay on my screen, but is it coming from screen or connected equipments cannot say, smooth and sharp enough for me.
One article says at 2015 tv's fastest input delays are 19.x ms, so I'm still happy with my 2ms slower oldie :)

http://www.displaylag.com/display-database/

17ms for HDTV as best and 9ms for monitor as best. So 21ms keeps up enough. :)
