Rinsky's 2021 MSN / Rinsky's 2022 Final Tour Archives

What is this mark or tack you speak of for refueling, is there something in the game that I dont know about????? I would be great to learn something new now that it's less than 2 weeks until the release of GT7.
I'm guessing we would have been together if you took another lap of fuel, the 1.5 seconds gap that you had I could not make up. When we passed each other a few times mid race it seemed like we were competitive, it would have been fun. I just couldnt close up on you at all at the end.
There's a white tack that will appear near the end of race for lap race that suppose to tell how much fuel you need to get the finish. I think I would have been slightly behind you taking on another lap of fuel.

@CW~I think I asked when I joined if you test new members to make sure they can drive. I think a provisional race for new comers late to the season would help this situation. That would allow for you to say come back when you can keep from.... ???? That sucks when we have a competitive points race. Are we letting this person back in after being a ding-dong. AND How the Hell do you not know how long the race you joined is🤔 Ding-Dong, someones at the door🤣

Anyone know why I can see you in the lobby, but can't see the room you opened?
Heading over to Laguna for practice in a bit if anyone's around.
Only @fastone371, @QTip8329Wags, and I showed up for the longest race of season. In a desperate move to beef up the field. I sent out an invite last minute to any other PSN Friends currently playing GTS. I was well aware this could be gamble of what kind of drivers I would. The one guy ran the entire race and was well behaved. I would invite him to become a member if Laguna Sega was our last race.

I don't think that incident had any major effect QTip8329Wags finish. The Corvette surprisingly lacked pace. For how good the Corvette was at Northern Isle last season. I thought he had the car to beat.

Which I'm admittedly somewhat happy that it ended this way. Because it made Laguna Sega a factor for both Overall and Gr.3 Championships.

I either have never seen the white tack mark or noticed it, I'm always figuring out mileage on the fly, its especially tough for the timed races and is most likely the time I will hit the wall, because I'm trying to figure out how much fuel I need.
I think a 3 car race would have been an advantage for me, it seemed like everytime someone would pit they would come out right in front of you so that you had drafting help. I think I ran laps 50-170 without hardly seeing another car. If I was getting close to someone they would pit as soon as I was in drafting range. I remember a couple of times I had a 3-4 second gap on you but then you found a drafting partner and closed that gap quickly.:banghead::banghead::banghead: It seemed like you were quicker at the beginning of the run but I was quicker on worn tires.

Kind-a-sorry I spoke up than. A for effort champ👍🏻 You get what you get at that point😒 Sounds like we've gotten a little too comfy with all this race etiquette we have in Rinsky. Someone forgot to stick an elbow out and get a little argie-bargie😉🤣 I'm bringing extra elbows to Laguna Seca. Hoping I have a few left to throw to the crowd🤣🤣
Thank you, Thank you. I'll be here all week. Shuffle board is on the Lito deck. Don't forget to tip your Bartender🍻

I was using the drafting to gain a fuel advantage more than for a pace advantage. Which I think you figured out eventually. Note at the beginning of the race when you, CTK123, and me were drafting together. I never took the l lead once during those laps. When I chose to pass you when we were together about mid way through the race. It was you slowed down too much to the point were 3rd place gained more then 8 seconds in 3 laps. We would have been ran down at that pace. So I when up to full power and launched around you. I did catch you off guard enough to get you out of drafting range but, the lapped traffic worked in your favor enough to allow you to latch on later.

I said something to the party responsible. Not sure what it will accomplish. Despite he said he was interested in the Laguna Seca race. I'm not sure if he realizes that 90 laps at Laguna Sega won't be a significantly shorter race than the Blue Moon Oval race. And will probably be more exhausting.

I would have been happy to draft behind CTK until lap 195 but he scraped the T1 wall, I kinda had no choice but to go by, I had momentum and he didn't. As long as I found myself in the unfortunate position of leading early I figured I would see if I could create a gap, you never know with tire wear on. Then later in the race when you wouldn't pass me I went to FM2 and figured if your going save fuel that I will too. Then late in the race I was in FM2 and at half throttle keeping the rev bar in the center of the graph hoping that you were going to pass me finally so I could save some fuel, I didn't want the lead at that point. I was not worried about CTK catching us, he seemed to have trouble in T1. The only time I really wanted to lead is when I had those 3-4 second gaps, I wanted to stretch it out more but you always managed to find drafting help to close back up on me. Believe you me, I was very aware of what was going on around me. I managed to gain about 13 laps of fuel mileage.

I read up☝🏼 That there was an in-game Sport lobby type driving😒 That's why I don't race those anymore. Maybe he can come practice w/us this week, before Sat. and see if he can do it at least to my level👍🏻 It would be nice to be part of the race other than running from the leader🤣🤣🤣 Thank you, Thank you😁 Did you out the word out again? It would be awesome to get a dozen or so for our last race.
Heading to Laguna in a bit if anyone is around🍻

After our first stop when I came out between you and CTK123. Using Fuel mapping I intentionally slowed down too allow CTK123 to catch me. I figured I could gain some time back by drafting and more later by taking on less fuel.

I could tell you weren't at full power during that part in the race. I assumed the idea was to have me pass then use me for drafting. I figured if you were going to run that slow. I could catch you off guard open enough of gap to break the drafting. So I went up to full power exiting turn 3 and waited until last minute to launch around you to give as little time to react as possible.

Yeah, I figured that you were backing into CTK when you didn't pit for damage the next lap around for damage. I am surprised that worn RS lost only 7/10-8/10ths of second.

I apparently didn't make tire wear strong enough for Tokyo and Blue Moon. I felt it was too last minute change tire wear for Blue Moon within a week but, I did increase it for Laguna Seca. Which I like how it ended up. Both RS and RM won't make a full fuel run. The softs last about half a tank. The mediums last about 3 quarters of tank. Which means hards are in play to anyone who wants to run a full fuel load.

Seriously, I'm in deep 💩 than. My horse eats tires for breakfast😆 This race will be pit stop practice. by the way, my pit crew is really pissed at you CW🤨😁 Once my tires go about 1/3, there is very little I can do to keep it on track. My lap times drop by at least 10-15sec. If you guys are getting 1/2 fuel run or more, I need to trade my horsey in for something new. Maybe I'll confuse everyone and bring my 911😳🙄🤣🤣🤣 I ran the Jr. X car series, my last in Amatuer, and went to Laguna after and couldn't run a straight lap. My braking was way off, those cars really stick. Tuning makes them easy race cars. Tsukuba was really fun.

Relax I increased tire wear to x8 for Laguna Seca last week. I was just commenting that I like the results of the change.

This race is going to be maddening. Fuel X3 and Tires X8? Also, are Cones allowed?

This might be the only race that I'll use bumper or hood cam instead of in car cam. Any laps times I can compare to? Running 1,23.5's with difficulty and terrible tire management on RS tires. I'm lucky to run 1,23's back to back. 1,24.XXX doesn't seem fast enough.

Tomorrow is the only time I have to practice more. Maybe 10-20 laps so far and am crap everywhere.

TCS, ABS, and Driving Line are allowed for aids.

This is going to an interesting race for sure. I like the results of the tire wear change. I myself have no idea what to run for a strategy yet.

I seen Fastone371 post 1:22.212 on RS in practice. Not sure how much fuel he had. And can run in the 1:23s on RMs.

I'm not going to lie this is going to be a very difficult championship fight for you. The Porsche RSR suits Laguna Sega very well. It has almost every you want for Laguna Seca. I know when Fastone371 chose the Porsche he was the one to beat here.

Hey!!!!!! I can't like this post, you are directly helping a competitor, any lap times I run is privileged info, last time I practice with you. Telling my competition my tire choices and lap time, unbelievable!!!
Not to worry Mr. Wags, if I have allegedly run a 1 22 I'm sure it was on new RSS and a flashing fuel light. I recall running some mid to high 24's on new RM and CW was about 2/10ths off of my times running full tanks and RH.

CW, fat chance I ever run practice laps with you again!! Time to change my status as "offline" :) :)
I'm out, Stay Fast My Friends!!

As long as I don’t get forced to work tomorrow, I’ll be there in the WRX. I love Laguna Seca.

Excuse my absence the past weeks. If I wasn’t working, I was racing dirt bikes. Hopefully I’ll be there tomorrow 👍🏼

Was it not just almost 2 races ago that someone may have said " I'm done for" after I ran a not particularly fast lap at the wet Spa race? Then I recall said person qualifying #1 and setting fast race lap to boot. Just more psychological warfare going on here.
Who knows, if Kermit, Yard Sale, and RHCpowder show up I could be fighting for 5th right behind you. :):)

Maybe you could watch next practice session so you could share my tire and fuel strategy while you are at it. I believe Wags was asking your lap times, I notice you fail to mention that. After losing at BMB only because of running out of fuel I think Wags should be very concerned about the Viper, nothing to see here.:):)

I'm totally relax'd Brother. I was joking, but my pit crew is going to chase you down and throw you in Lake Laguna🤣🤣
@Qtip~I'm in the F458, your a little over 2sec faster than I'm running. It doesn't matter RS,RM,RH, my tire wear is the same. If I can get half a dozen laps, stay clear because lap 7 will be a total mess. I'm testing new rides. I pulled my 911 out and can see why Fatsone chose it, very nimble. Easy to throw into a corner. F458 feels the same, but pitting every <6laps will suck.

QTip8329Wags post his lap times. I already said the is Porsche is one of best cars at Laguna Sega. I can't get close to that time on RS with light fuel load. Since your going to complain this so much. I can always give more a competitive suggestions to Yard_Sale. His Gr.3 ride is not locked in.

Hey since your Gr.3 ride is not locked in. I got better suggestions for Laguna Seca. Try either the Porsche or Volkswagen Beetle. The Beetle is more forgiving to get use in a short period of time.

Just remember if you change rides you won't score points for this race. That being said Gr.3 458 is one of the more difficult cars too drive in the class.

I tested the beetle at Laguna the other day and while it is incredibly easy to drive, I had a problem keeping tires on it. The fronts wore faster than the rears with balanced brake bias. If your good, you maybe able to do it w/40 pit stops🤣 easy car to throw into a corner👍🏻

This Saturday February 26th, 2022 is officially the last and final race of Rinsky's series. I have no future plans to continue or rebadge the series. I do have some future ideas but, not with this series.

This will be a long grueling race. Even Fastone's fast lap is still below 100 mph average speed. So even if he could run that pace all 90 laps. This would still be a 2 hours 3 minutes race. I think realistic estimated time to complete would 2 hours 15 minutes.

The high tire wear has left us an interesting race for strategy. Even I'm still unsure what I want run. It's races like this I really wish we had an engineer or crew chief to make these decisions.

This race is also a x1.5 points race which means it could have a major effect on both Championships. Good Luck and have fun. This is our last race let's make it a good one.

When even I've race Sport Mode races at Laguna Sega with Gr.3 Class. The Porsche and Beetle are usually the best cars.

No head games, all honest sharing but whatever. Ran a 1.22.100 on RS with half tank and TC 1. Guess I'm done sharing tips. Everything posted is honest and if you remember, I ran that entire practice before the race and posted my fastest times with everyone there. Enjoy the race, I'm going to go back to struggling for consistency without help. Smilie face.

Really??? I put smile faces after my post for a reason, maybe you need glasses or maybe you are just a ....
If I didn't really want anyone to know my lap times I wouldn't be in a public lobby running laps. If anyone didn't notice there were smile faces after every post I made about you sharing my lap times.
CW this may be news to you but it's only a game, at the end of the day there is zero reward for anything we do or do not do in these races, chill out Francis. :):):)

Oh, I saw the smiles but, you still didn't like my post. So I may have accidentally some ride suggestions to free agent Yard_Sale. I know I'm not on pace to challenge you this race. I've got to make sure you're not bored up front.
