Rinsky's 2021 MSN / Rinsky's 2022 Final Tour Archives

F1 V10's sound good, 18,000 RPM's will do that, low revving V10's sound like V6's. They just don't sound right.
Hey it's unique engine sound sets it aside from all the V8s we Americans use to make cars good fast but, fine I guess your allowed some bad taste.

Really, the Viper is good at Suzuka? I would not have expected that.
The Vipers launch out of corners well especially the Gr.3 car. Which is more useful at Suzuka than you would think. That being said one of the few cars in class that beats it in that category. One would be 911 RSR. The Viper has more top end speed though.

They run well at the Nurburgring too. The ACRs were able to take claim the production car lap record a few times. Which creates one of my own personal conspiracies. The last Viper ACR bet Ferrari's Laferrari at the Nurburgring. Since the Fiat Chrysler merger already happened. So I like to claim that Ferrari got the Viper canceled because of the ACR model costing less than there Grand Tourer bet there million dollar Laferrari.

While I have no real evidence of this being true. Ferrari are notoriously a bad losers. They have gotten races canceled in the past so they wouldn't embarrass themselves. And they will harass Ferrari buyers for petty reasons. Including not long ago threatening a lawsuit against a some guy posed in a picture with of their cars with some shoes they didn't like.

Haha, I caught Mr. Depp in the 2022 Vette😳 yesterday. Bad ass looking car... kind of like what Saleen did for the Mustang. Total custom package. Unfortunately, he was in the other lane and turned off and I wasn't able to cross traffic to follow him.
Here's is a link, you can customize a new Vette w/all the trimmings. Fully loaded Bad ass Vette I got $101k. Base starts @ $62k.

Would this mean you live Los Angeles too?

I'm still debating how I want to officiate things. I'll post the official results and standings later.
What needs officiating??

If you have not already shared the replay could you do so please? I forgot to save it last night, my wife was giving me the stink eye cause it was so late.

🤣🤣🤣You have one of those too🙄😆 Why can't things go a little longer than expected w/o them getting sand in the Vaj-jay😆 Like they never spend a little extra time shopping for shoes and ...🤓
I'll have to check out the replay and see what kind of mess needs "officiating"🤔

Naw, you know I live in Southern Oregon. I don't think he "lives" in any one place. You can see him in the Barber shop getting a cut and Cigar. You can go in and meet him, total joe-bag-of-doughnuts like the rest of us. Other than that, I've never heard of him in a restaurant/bar or anything like that. I think it's A get away spot. Like I mentioned, there are a lot of Hollywood/Musician types that hangout/own land in the area. You never hear about most being around town. Oh yea, my wife was an escrow officer for 25years, so word gets around when a big name is shopping around here. It wouldn't surprise if Mr. Depp had something in like Aspen or Tuscan etc.

heading to Laguna Seca in a bit👍🏻

We started 45 minutes late waiting for someone who quit after 10-15 laps cause the race was too long. He also ran me up into the wall in qualifying for some reason, maybe he thought it was the race and he was blocking?? I'm not sure.

I might have a new favorite car and I found out why I don't like the GR3 Viper, I've never driven mine, I have 2 of them with zero miles. I ran about 10 laps at BMB this morning, holy smokes is that thing fast. I didn't run long enough to get any ideas on fuel and tires though.

The replay is posted already along with Grid and Winner photos

The officiating question was if the guests are to be scored. The rule in the about scoring is you must start the race. Which means the pole award goes to CTK123.

By the way both are interested in the Laguna Sega race.

Didn't know there was a celebrity getaway in Oregon. You ever see him around in his pirate costume?

Sorry I wouldn't have waited if I have known he would quit that early. Was just trying beef up the field some more. I didn't know about the Qualifying incident. I can't get replays for Qualifying. Since he said he's interested the Laguna Sega race. I'll have to say something to him.

The Viper had much more pace this time than 2 years ago. Gran Turismo apparently updated it's Suspension set and took out must the understeer that the Oval package.

The qualifying incident didn't really matter, there was no way I had enough pace for pole. I just thought it was odd, he pinned me to the wall the entire short chute between T2 and T3.

The way I have it figured I need a win, pole, and fast lap to tie Mr. Wags if he finishes 2nd for the series title.

Yeah...right before he quit he slowed me and tried forcing me into the wall for T3. Not a fan.

I screwed up pitting again and took 30 laps instead of 34. Had to fuel save so much to make the 34 lap stints work that I lost a lap to you guys. I need to re check my math because .5-.8 a lap for 25 vs. 34 lap stints should have been a 15 to 18 sec deficit until pit over lap. At lap 100 we should have all been together again but I hit X during the first stop again and had to fuel save.

Laguna Seca for the overall Championship? I haven't done any scoring but I will make sure to get the practice lobby settings correct this time. 1X Tire and 4X Fuel, man was I dumb for that one. Had it up to 15 lap stints on RS tires that were still peaking at 60 laps without change. Made the mistake of thinking this one could have been won by stint length vs pit time. So dumb.

Also forgot that BMB shoots you into T1 and you can be behind someone doing a full 45 sec stop at pit entry and after one lap you are at pit entry and they are shot into T1...

Next Race

2/26/22, Laguna Sega 200 Classic
8. WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Sega
Gr.3, 90 Laps, Qualifying 10 Minutes
Sunset 17:00 Clear, Grid Start
Fuel x3, Tires x8
Fuel at Start 98%

The last race for Rinsky's league is upon us. And made sure its a special one. With a running of a Gran Turismo endurance classic. 200 miles of Laguna Sega.

Built in 1957 on an old dried up lake bed in Central California. This is located about between Monterey and Salinas. An interesting not the dry lake bed in the middle of a forest makes the track easy to find from above in Google Maps.

Laguna Sega is almost as historical to the Gran Turismo franchise as it is in real life. Being the first real life race track to make it into the franchise. First appearing in Gran Turismo 2 and has appeared in every game since. Though maybe barely for Gran Turismo Sport. Being the last track added to the game.

It's because of these reasons above why I thought this is the perfect venue for our last race. I was initially going to make this a standard length race. Then thought why. It's our last race. Make as special as possible. So Laguna Sega 200 Classic it became.

Laguna Sega is a 2.24 mile very slow stop go style race track. Filled mostly with slow and mid speed corners followed by short connecting straightaways. Since there's not really a corner you can sacrifice. So this can a difficult race track even for experienced drivers.

The layout and along with a dirty low grip surface make mechanical grip a high priority to make good lap times. However passing can difficult at Laguna Sega. And long pit road make track position just as important. Making pit strategies difficult.

Good Luck and have fun at our last race.

I already said something to him about Fastone371 qualifying. He's probably use to how everyone in Sport Mode drives. Funny he said this race was too long but, is now interested in the Laguna Seca race.

I'm really surprised the Corvette didn't have more pace. It ran well last season at Northern Isle for Jarkulary.

Despite running my 2nd last stint at fuel power too reset the tack. The refueling tack was 1 lap short of what I needed. I don't think I would came out in front of of Fastone371 if I added a lap of fuel. But, I might have been able to challenge for the win still.

Yeah, I hate when you take anything but a full fuel load, I always manage to screw up when I take a partial load. Either I finish the race with a 1/2 tank of fuel or I have to save fuel to finish. I also need to use my DS4 for pit stops. For some reason my wheel will register a single tap as a double tap and I will get tires but no fuel, talk about screwing up your strategy.

What is this mark or tack you speak of for refueling, is there something in the game that I dont know about????? I would be great to learn something new now that it's less than 2 weeks until the release of GT7.
I'm guessing we would have been together if you took another lap of fuel, the 1.5 seconds gap that you had I could not make up. When we passed each other a few times mid race it seemed like we were competitive, it would have been fun. I just couldnt close up on you at all at the end.

It's a really neat area to live. It's full of the "Artisanal" BS that's the new fad. If your into micro brew, there are so many national brand breweries with-in 50mi. We have the Oregon Caves where you can freak out running down the hill when Big Foot smells aunt flow visiting your wife for the weekend🤣🤣🤣 Seriously, there are many stories about a BigFoot family that lives around the Caves. Discovery did a Documentary about it 10yrs ago. We get an awesome fall color change. Crazy Class 4 rafting that you can take to the ocean, about 4.5 days. And it's small and sparsely populated. I lived in CO and you can go skiing and hear about Tom Hanks house on the hill. If you've never lived in one, the big city sucks after you have spent a little time in a small town. I'm originally from Orange County CA and haven't been back in 20 years. It's like a bee hive, it never stops, it's never dark and there is bumper to bumper traffic 24/7. Oh yea, no one sleeps, it's smells like a port-o-potty at a SLAYER concert😳🤣 Anyway, I've heard Idaho and Montana are new get-a-way areas.

@CW~I think I asked when I joined if you test new members to make sure they can drive. I think a provisional race for new comers late to the season would help this situation. That would allow for you to say come back when you can keep from.... ???? That sucks when we have a competitive points race. Are we letting this person back in after being a ding-dong. AND How the Hell do you not know how long the race you joined is🤔 Ding-Dong, someones at the door🤣

Anyone know why I can see you in the lobby, but can't see the room you opened?
Heading over to Laguna for practice in a bit if anyone's around.
