OK.
Do you know that there are a lot of "street legal" drag cars that produce in excess of 4500 HP and don't break down every 1000'? That is enough power to propel the car from 0-220MPH in 660 feet, they have run 5.60's at over 240 MPH in 1320' (only the fuel cars run 1000', NHRA decided that too many drivers were getting killed when they were going over 340 MPH). Theres a lot more drag cars than just the self destructing fuel cars, but what do expect when they make over 1250HP per individual cylinder. I know a guy that put his twin turbocharged methanol fueled 500" cid car on the dyno, he was expecting 4500HP, it made 5400HP!! If someone doesn't find that impressive they are not the least bit knowledgeable about ICE. We can bicker all day about what makes the best race cars but to me they are all magical for their own reasons. For example the 950HP 410 cid 1400# winged sprint car on a 1/4 mile dirt oval, they don't lift for the corners, wind and friction slows them enough to turn (that and the massive balls the driver is carrying) . They used to race these things called East Coast Modifieds, they lapped Nazereth damn near as fast as the old turboed CART Indy Cars. I could spend all day talking about all sorts of different race cars, and I am familiar with road racing, our house is less than 45 minutes from one of if not the premier road course in the country, Road America. If it's a race car it's fascinating enough for me and the are all the best in their own world.

I find all race cars fun and impressive. That doesn't mean they are practical to world of cars outside there respective categories. Not everything allowed on the street is practical. By the why I would like to see that 5400 hp car lap Road America. Someone in Japan created a 1300 hp GT-R time trial car. Also if your rich as heck you now buy sports cars. That are can reach 300 mph stop and repeat the process.

To me the best race cars to me are ones that the rest of world can learn from. What can manufacturer's learn from Top Fuel or Sprint Cars that can one day improve your daily car.

In truth, any speedo registering higher than you local speed limits is impractical. Why can my car go 160 MPH off the showroom floor but I am limited to 55-70 MPH almost everywhere? Seems like we could gear cars to top speeds of around 80 MPH and fuel mileage would go through the roof instead of gearing them for twice the legal speed limits in most states.

Well if you live in Germany with daily access to the Autobahn a speedo of 160 mph may of useful if your late for work.

Otherwise if you don't live near a race track that allows you to drive around. There's always the idea that nobody else seems to think of. Install a trucker radio in your sports car. And contact truckers to check the highway in front of for cops. Everything is legal if your not caught.

It's clear both of you are gear heads that are well versed in your favorite cars. Running laps in the 911 w/fastone at Tokyo last weekend made it obvious why he drives the Porsche. And I really don't car what car you like CW, the idea you're so Fukn competitive racing with sticks just kills me Brother🙄🤣🤣🍻 I really dig racing with you guys👍🏻🍻

I hate being the guinea pig but if GT7 has some decent telemetry I'll pick it up. It would be nice for this weekends race if the tire wear indicator was a duel heat map/wear indicator. It would be easier to manage tire wear in the rain. I thought they had it in GT1&2. ??? Also I contacted the devs at the Dash Panel app to get them to do the GT series. If you haven't got this app and played around with it, you're missing it. Build your own dash panel👍🏻 Having this would let the GT7 devs off the hook on telemetry.

I'll be opening a lobby this morning if anyone wants to quit thier job and hang out😆

I'm fan of cars and racing. But not exactly sure if I'm considered a gearhead since I admittedly know very little on the mechanics side of things. Since I've never had the opportunity to learn. Believe or not this my second love. I'm actually a really big railfan.

Overall I consider myself an average player. I know there are much better drivers than me that also use a controller. The only reason get anywhere is because I run constantly and I'm too stubborn to quit. I also due a lot testing and research.

As for everything I'm bad at. I lack good throttle and brake control. I'm still trying to get manual shifting to become 2nd nature after over a year of manual shifting. I'm not aggressive enough at passing because I have to much of a consequence about how I effect others. Because of this I'm also a terrible starter. So I often lose positions at the start. I'm terrible at posting fast laps. So I rarely take the fastest lap or qualify well.

On top of this I don't sleep well. I suffer from insomnia on almost a nightly basis. Even when I do sleep I rarely get into a deep sleep. I only get into rem sleep long enough about twice a month to be able to dream.

Unfortunately I'm not anywhere sick enough to qualify medical weed. And Pennsylvania doesn't allow recreational weed yet. So that's out as a sleep aid. I take now 10 mg melatonin and I still can't sleep. Listening to music or watching TV doesn't work because I get into that instead sleeping. I go to bed to not sleep. To get up and be tired all day. Since I'm the weirdo that doesn't like coffee. And Tea isn't strong enough. So I generally drink sodas for my caffeine intake. Which has other health repercussions. Also have to careful not to drink them to close to bed.

I'm only so high in the points because I have no life. And I have to show up for every race. Otherwise there is no race.

The best "sleeping pill" I've ever had is Soma. It's a muscle relaxer the doc prescribed me for my back, I hate the stuff, I probably took it 3 or 4 times, it will put you to sleep standing up. It also left me with a hangover in the morning when I woke up. If that won't make someone sleep nothing will.

That is not true. You are in it for real and you have pushed me every since I joined this series in 2019. Back then you seemed to win every race and I took off for nearly 2 years due to moving and some other stuff. In that time, I raced offline in WRC 7, Dirt Rally 2.0 and GTS campaign with down tuning and the hardest tire options. AC and ACC are still a monster to handle for me but I think I enjoy the FFB in AC and ACC more than the slip and slide feelings in GTS. You give me way too much credit sir. I wish I was doing what you are for real, fabricating, engineering, tuning and racing. Racing is my dream but money has always been the thing stopping me.

I have opened a little early this for anyone looking for some practice. This will probably going down as the most difficult race of the season. Not sure if it beats a night race on the Nurburgring 24h course but, it will give a run for it's money.

Our Valentine Weekend to remember has arrived. This is a 90 minute heavy wet race at the famous and historical Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps.

This race will likely be a race of mistakes. Low average speed from the rain means a short distance race. It also means less of a lose to cars on track. I believe completing this race in only 1 or 2 fuel stops possible.

Oh and you may want to adjust your brake setting. Good luck! Ah ha ha ha!

I managed to not put a foot wrong the entire race, if not for a tap at the bus stop chicane that knocked me off track I would have had the CRB. I was not expecting that.

Not so much CW🤣🤣 I don't remember it, but the F480 rearview camera is obscured by the remaining race time🥴 I knew I would be even more off for this race which is why I wanted you all in front of me for Qualy and let CW go by on lap 1. Too focused out the windshield to watch the rear anyway. I must have missed you guys pitting, I thought I kept you all on the other side of the track. I had no idea fastone was trying to give me the Ol' banana in the tail pipe until I almost ran him of the road🙄😶‍🌫️ I'm not up for GIVING away being lapped, but I know when I'm not on pace to the field and the rain made it even worse. BUT I did much better than I expected. 1 off w/damage and a couple missed braking points... I don't know why I try new S#!t during a race🤔 It usually needs wrong😒😆
HQ has visitation rights next weekend so I'm not sure if I'll make Blue Moon. But I'll still open a room/practice with you guys when your around😉 Since NO ONE wanted to quit their job and practice last week.🤨😆 I'll be around tomorrow if your up for it Qtip👍🏻

The idea would be a pay out race series. Have a🤔 $5 entrance... something small to get participants. Expedition races could be worth more $$ as well as points, prize only for 1st or things like that. These were things we were looking at doing 20yrs. ago when my team wanted to put our own League together. There were a few other things... that would keep me out of the league, now🙄🤣🤣😒 I'm not sure why we are only half dozen drivers other than the "endurance" thing. If you took the idea and went to a regular lap race like most other leagues😒, I would imagine it wouldn't take long to start having to limit participation or have tryouts like we planned on doing. (Thus I wouldn't be in) If you get it to take off, you can round up sponsors to donate low cost prizes etc. There is a lot of room for ideas at this point. You should be able to draw the best drivers from around GTPlanet to the League. It sounds like you might have the time to put something like this together👍🏻🍻
AND for drivers like me that wouldn't be in Division 1, you can have a Division 2. determined by % of Qualy pace.(KINDA like F1) I've been gone too long to know if this would be viable, but since your starting a new game and League, it would be a good opportunity to throw it out there. 🤷🏼‍♂️

Yeah did really good. QTip8329Wags got Pole and Fastest Lap but, you won by consistency.

I had to watch a lot of the replay to see what happened between QTip8329Wags and ThisGuyHere. He did hold him up a little at one point. But he held you too after he got by him. Honestly what I mostly saw was some poor guy learning what Spa is like in the wet.

I'm not sure he know you guys were there since I didn't have flags on to warn of the approaching leaders. Even when like they are supposed to be blue are not enforced. So the faster car's responsible to pass them safely.

I don't use a mic because I easily distracted enough as is. While we do have one but, my brother chews on the ear pieces when he uses it. I don't use it because I don't want an ear infection. So I usually lie and tell others players I don't have one.

Welcome to Spa-Francorchamps in wet. It might be partly my fault you didn't know others cars were behind you. I apparently didn't have have flags turned on like they were supposed to be. So there were no yellow or blue flags to warn of others around.

The race at Blue Moon Bay Oval will be our longest race of season. A 200 Laps race a nearly 400 mile. Technically 398.5 miles or something that because track is 1.99 miles.

This is official the end of the series unfortunately. I'm not simply going rebrands things. This league is a little to safe to be my own creation. I do have idea of the future but, I will probably take some time off before starting anything. I want to my started and enjoy GT7 for bit, build up a car collection and get overall understanding will I or won't be to do in game.

I would like to offer prizes but, my wallet says no. I wish I could offer in games prizes. We never had the attendance or personal to run multiple division.

There were a few other things... that would keep me out of the league, now🙄🤣🤣😒 I'm not sure why we are only half dozen drivers other than the "endurance" thing. If you took the idea and went to a regular lap race like most other leagues😒, I would imagine it wouldn't take long to start having to limit participation or have tryouts like we planned on doing. (Thus I wouldn't be in) If you get it to take off, you can round up sponsors to donate low cost prizes etc. There is a lot of room for ideas at this point. You should be able to draw the best drivers from around GTPlanet to the League. It sounds like you might have the time to put something like this together👍🏻🍻
AND for drivers like me that wouldn't be in Division 1, you can have a Division 2. determined by % of Qualy pace.(KINDA like F1) I've been gone too long to know if this would be viable, but since your starting a new game and League, it would be a good opportunity to throw it out there. 🤷🏼‍♂️

If prize money were offered I doubt any of us would be fast enough.

Thats going to be over 2.5 hours, I suspect we will have a low turnout again.

About 2 hours 23 minutes is what's predicted. Unfortunately only You, QTip, and Me are the only full time drivers. I have done everything within legal means to use members for this last season. I advertised to all my PSN who I know still play GTS. I post stuff about league on my in game activities. I even posted about the last season on our old forum. Just in case a reminiscing old members see it.

Unless you want to help me with my idea of duct taping people to their gaming rigs. There's really nothing more I can do.

Well that was an interesting race, I was about to take the lead but started to capsize, missed my BEER holder and had to clean the passenger side floor... or I would have had it🙄🤣🤣
AweFukGuys😒 Sorry for being in your way @fastone and @Qtip. Not so much CW🤣🤣 I don't remember it, but the F480 rearview camera is obscured by the remaining race time🥴 I knew I would be even more off for this race which is why I wanted you all in front of me for Qualy and let CW go by on lap 1. Too focused out the windshield to watch the rear anyway. I must have missed you guys pitting, I thought I kept you all on the other side of the track. I had no idea fastone was trying to give me the Ol' banana in the tail pipe until I almost ran him of the road🙄😶‍🌫️ I'm not up for GIVING away being lapped, but I know when I'm not on pace to the field and the rain made it even worse. BUT I did much better than I expected. 1 off w/damage and a couple missed braking points... I don't know why I try new S#!t during a race🤔 It usually needs wrong😒😆
HQ has visitation rights next weekend so I'm not sure if I'll make Blue Moon. But I'll still open a room/practice with you guys when your around😉 Since NO ONE wanted to quit their job and practice last week.🤨😆 I'll be around tomorrow if your up for it Qtip👍🏻

No worries, you didn't really hold me up, I was going to get past one way or another.
I have a headset that I race with occasionally but I found out I don't like joining a party and using the mic, it distracts me too much. I just don't have the mental capacity to multi task, if I'm racing I only race, if I walking I only walk, if I sit I only sit. I have a hard time when chat pops up too when I'm driving, I feel that I must read it immediately even if I am in the middle of a chicane, thats why I have to restart my practice laps so often, someone chats and next thing you know I'm knocking the wall over.

Our next race is our only oval race of the season and the last race oval race of the series. This will be the longest race of this in both mileage and duration. Estimated about 2 hours 23 minutes. I've always wanted to run a lap race to the 200 lap limit. Why I don't really but, here we are.

The Blue Moon Bay Oval listed 1.99 miles which comes out to about 398 mph. This is roughly about an average length Nascar Cup race. You may have noticed I scheduled this race on the Daytona 500 weekend. This was absolutely not "cough cough" intentionally done.

The shape of this oval is comparable to Poconos Raceway. That's about the closest similarity to the track there is. Poconos is long relatively flat oval. The Blue Moon Oval is about 0.51 miles shorter and all the turns are banked much more than there Poconos equivalent. With the type of trees you see around Blue Moon this track is located a more tropical climate.

Gran Turismo's oval BOP for the Gr.3 class is unique since it can't be replicated in game. All the cars are boosted to 791 hp. RPMs are also boosted. And all the cars close to the same weight. You unfortunately cannot make any adjustments even if tuning were allowed. This includes brakes for some reason.

A unique challenge to this race will be the available multiple tire compounds. A element seen in IndyCar but, not Nascar yet. Pit stops are very costly but, the softer tires have a lot of speed on a track that is easy to overtake on. It's up to you to determine the best strategy. Good Luck!​

Honestly🤔 I believe that was my 1st WET race ever, at my fav track of all places. I have never been good with the velvet part of the glove, it's the iron fist part🤓 That was dumb the wife says🤣 I'm heavy footed☹️ I had a hard time, other than sound, telling when I was loosing bits of traction. That little throttle meter thing... that light red is spin🤔 ?? If so, who the hell is looking at the little gauge🧐 if the tires wear ineicator had some color context...🤓 Anyway, yes 1st Spa/Wet race. So don't do it again🤣 I apologize for holding any of you up. That was my first race with Qtip too, so he doesn't know I'm here so the leader has someone to pass too🤣🤣🤣(FukThatsFunny****) I really struggled to make every lap. I got out of the way, sometimes way out of the way, when I knew anyone was close behind. I may not be the fastest, but I'm good looking, have great race etiquette, and am funny as s#!t🤣🤣🤣 I will always move over as soon as I can, w/o screwing myself in the process. I'm sorry if I blew anyones race. You can have the P4 points😇 I came in late anyway.
