RKM Motorsport - Tuned Tuners - May '13

Ehhh.. 1:33 ish? Assuming it's tuned like all our other cars.
Yay that means I'm only 3 seconds down on your time! And yes it is tuned, by the same person who revamped the NSX.

Forgive the double-post, but I don't want a review to get mixed up with my usual banter…

I have moved back to the Top Gear Test Track for this review, and shall stay here until I run out of cash, then I’ll head back to Fuji to race in a Japanese car.
This review will be slightly briefer due to the fact that the BMW M3 is too good for words, so I apologise beforehand if it is far too short or lacks detail.

BMW M3 CSL review:

Before-
It’s hard to say what is the best thing about this 500hp M3 CSL. The grip, the handling, the fact that you could drive this at full speed so easily, or just how much of an all rounder it is. I don’t think I need to bull**** any more than to say that this 500hp CSL, with default settings and weighing 1153kg, is faster than a 550hp Impreza 22B running a setup made by RJ and weighing just 1056kg, and both of these cars were running on racing softs. And the time it did was a 1:08.003. That’s fast. That’s the only way of putting it. Fast.

After-
I’ve been wondering why not a lot of people have written reviews for this car, well now I know why. It’s not just too good for words, it’s too good for your mind to comprehend. You can set off in this thing, drive 10-15 laps, and I bet you when you come back for the 16th lap, you’d still be thinking the same thing. ‘This is driving perfection.’ That is all you’ll be thinking. Perfection. And as such, the car is laid out in a ‘perfect’ manner. Engine in the front, power going to the back, 50/50 weight distribution, 500hp and a engine note nicked from a touring car. But not only is the sound on par with a touring car, but the drive, the speed, all of it is not far off from a M3 GTR Race Car. Where it differs though, is when the car stops gripping. When most cars equipped with racing softs let go, they snap sideways in the most wild manner. This, it very dramatically lets go the first time, then let’s you catch it before gracefully gripping to the track. And in that whole process, neither you or the car will be shaken up by it. It gives you god-like confidence. And with a lap time of 1:07.616, it’s quick enough to make you feel like god as well.

Lap times: (Tested on TGTT)
1:08.003 (before)
1:07.616 (after)

I used your Impreza from the TCC to beat the Laguna Seca event, just with a few tweaks to get rid of the understeer.
My Impreza or RJ's? I used RJ's because I hate mine.
Eventually I'll drive all of them ;) I'm about to start a Skyline shootout, with the three Nissan Skyline tunes, but I can fumble my way to a decent transmission setup at the same top end as you give in the tune.
I'll update each tune as you go then. :P Transmissions aren't too hard anyway. Once you've figured out one, you've figured them all out.

BMW M3 CSL review:
Thanks for reviewing the M3! It's like the S2000 really. It's a great car out of the box, so the best thing to do is tune it for more control rather than trying to make it go faster.

Hey Roj, do you still have the Enzo? Because I read somewhere that you'd eventually try adding ballast, and with the update and the weight distribution thingy added, it should be easier to fix the Enzo's understeer issue…

Of course I still have it, but I dont remember saying anything about ballast. :boggled: The ballast will worsen the brakes even more anyway. The only thing that'll help the Enzo is front downforce and/or a better driver.

Oh well if it wasn't you then somebody else would have said it…
ARGHHH I'M SOO FUSTRATED!!! I NEED MORE MONEY FOR A REVIEW AND I'M BROKE!!!!! CAN'T DO ****ING SEASONALS BECAUSE OF PSN!!!!!!!! ARGHH SOMEONE PUT ME OUT OF MY MISERY ALREADY!!!!!!!! 🤬 🤬 🤬 🤬 !!!!!!!

There's always the Indy grind. ;)

But sure, give me a gun or a blade and I'll help you with your misery. :P

Or he could always do the Eifel grind. 1.2 million in 12 minutes of racing time now. I forgot he didn't have PSN now.

And I'd love to see someone throw a knife from Hong Kong to Blackpool then back to kill they guy who threw it in the first place :boggled: I have no idea what I just said there. :boggled:

You've basically described a potential world record throwing distance, a potential world record catching distance and a world record kill from a distance that no sniper on earth can beat. :D

The blade would have to travel 13 hours before it got to England, and then a few more minutes to get to Blackpool and then another few more minutes for it to find Roj and stab him…I wonder if a meat cleaver would be overkill though… :D

I thought you were the one who wanted to be put out of their misery. Which is why Roj should catch the knife then throw it back to Hong Kong to put you out of your misery. Not literally, of course!

Right, let's get on topic and say I'm doing a review of The Emperor soon. Which means it'll be coming in approximately 2012 years. :boggled:

Oh yea, you still haven't done the review for the Civic Type R w/o turbo yet and you promised to deliver it 5000000000 years ago…
Edit: Allow me to try and predict RKM's future projects/tunes for August:
1. Do a follow up of the Budget GTR Killer
2. Tune uMadson's Countach (with possible japanese rival which shall be revealed when tuned)
3. Fix the damn gearbox on my CT230R
4. Make more tunes before I throw a meat cleaver across the biggest ocean on Earth and land it on Roj's house or some part of Roj's body which will be left for luck to decide

1 Review = 1 Request
That's the rule.

We do requests if you do a review of one of our cars first. Everything is explained at the bottom of the first post. 👍

With that said, try the Yellow Hat Supra setup we have on the 2001 Castrol. They're almost the same car under the paintwork anyway.

I'm not the one who needs the money, it's Onboy. Maybe this'll help him out though. :)

I can also give Onboy help with money. Use the ZR1 RM on American Championship's indy. it is near 100k per attempt. 45 seconds a lap.

Another is doing Dream Car Championship B-Spec. It is great to get money fast (near 1m every time) and money to getting level 40 B-Spec

Thanks for the advice! But quick question, if I do the A-spec dream car championship and do the first four races, would the final sum of money be less?

The prize for winning the total prize wouldn't change, but if you really want the money and practice with 24H Nurb, race anyway.

Oh ok, thanks. Bob is doing that race now, and he's just stuffed the X1 into a Camaro…sigh…he still haven't learnt to drive I take it…

Well thanks to the incompetent fool that is Bob, I've had to dump 500,000cr into the chassis as the X1 couldn't be driven after the crashes…it kept powersliding! Yea, an X1 drifting on Racing Hards…Good fun, scary as well…
Anyways, one more proposal/request, Roj/RJ, how about tuning a Ford GT LM Race Car Spec II to go with the Corvette C6/R? These two cars seem to have the same rivalry the NSX and RE RX7 have, so it would be nice to see which would come out on top…

You shouldn't have to repair the X1. Mine has 20,000 or so miles on it and it's never been repaired, still drives well.

Maybe. I think that one is best suited for RJ though.

Well he did tune the Ford GT, so the race car should be not much different...if it goes well, there'll be one more shootout me and uMadson can do...

Uhhh what? 🤬, I should get more chapters up in my fanfic so that the car would start running!

Well get writing!! We still need to do our race, and the quicker the better, my dad's starting to laugh at the passionate pink paint -.- and I'm getting slightly embarrassed...

And this tan-skinned kid that used to hug a doll in my avatar loves being dressed in a small black dress because she likes the attention that it attracts, even though she hates skirts. Same thing can apply to you, you like Passionate Pink because of the attention, even though it's embarrassing. :P

EDIT: Heck, even RJ said way back that he painted his R35 pink.

Is that girl your girlfriend? :D And NO I DO NOT LIKE PASSIONATE PINK FOR THE ATTENTION!!! Though it is starting to grow on me, I admit...am I turning gay?!?!?

Nyet. She came to life by an artist named RayadayaG and she's in love with some guy who lost his arm. But if you're talking about the blonde one in my avatar NOW, same story, no sign of love life though.

And then we disguise as GTP bronies and say that because of our love of Pinkie Pie, we spread the word of RKM's new 380RS tune to the JDM community. Ain't that cute... :embarrassed:

By the way Roj, expect a review of teh NSX soonish, it's got a new Lime Green Metallic paintjob to reflect it's Honda-ness and it wasn't really in a "proper" review. The shootout was just a shootout. Or maybe a "revisit", just like the R34? Maybe, but I hope you got my point.
