RKM Motorsport - Tuned Tuners - May '13

The AI is very cautious with that LM though...I certainly know I am! It tries to kill me every time I try to tune it. But congratulations! A heavy 4WD Mitsubishi that sounds like a sex toy won! :D đź‘Ť

It like opened at max. 4 seconds to me back in Lap 4, then I started to crawl back lap per lap until it came down in the last lap where I tryed to pass in the Lesmo turns. The 1st turn I touched the Zonda, drifted and saved it, I though of trying in the 2nd, but I backed off with straight coming next. Passed it entering the last chicane, but it caught my draft, got side by side with me before Parabolica, but I maintained the outside and somehow got a better exit securing the victory. It was hard to catch it, I though I wasn't going to win that race

The LM tries to kill you? The Zonda R may try to kill you but the LM is very behaved. Well, in my opinion at least.

I think trying to drive it with maximum tuning and traction control off, whilst still in ZR1 mode might have made it unhappy :D

It drifted fine for a few corners :dopey:

Great tunes, three questions.

1. Do tunes with SS tires work with RS tires?
2. Do I have to use the intended driving options? (ie. TCS, ABS, ASM?)
3. Do these great tunes work online?

Yes
If possible
Some do, some don't.

Corrections:

1. Yes to an extent; you'll notice a bit more understeer with RS tires usually.
2. Whenever possible, absolutely. Avoid ASM at all costs.
3. Some are great, some are meh, some are awful online. Front engine vehicles will oversteer more, mid/rear engine vehicles will understeer more as a general rule, though there are some exceptions.

Thanks. Why did PD have to change the physics online:ouch::indiff:

Probably due in no small part to the back end requirements for online. I don't think the physics changes are huge though, most of it seems to be fuel weight influence.
Question if the difference in online physics is fuel weight, then is the listed weight and weight distribution for wet or dry weight? Those numbers are the same for a car online and off. Also does the handling of a car online change as fuel is consumed? I can understand fuel weight having some impact on a cars handling, especially on lighter MR cars, but unless you have a huge fuel cell it shouldn't create the large difference in handling many cars exhibit between online and off. Not saying your wrong just curious.đź‘Ťđź‘Ť

Just to add onto point 1, if you put RS tyres on most of my tunes and then take them online, they behave pretty much like their offline SS counterpart, just with bags more grip.

So I have to wait at least 10 days before a new review?! Aww I want my Altezza back to review.(I tried tuning a second one I had, didn't go well. At least it had a good exit!) Anyway i'll check out this 3000GT Tune now.

I'll have your Altezza back to you soon, I've just not gotten time to work on it. :guilty:

I've been creating a few tunes here lately for CKR and seen you guys think there could be some Physics changes?

In your all's opinion do you think i should hold off on releasing these tunes until after the Spec 2.0 update?

Either physics changes, changes to how the parts are adjusted or maybe adding more things to adjust. We'd just rather wait and see if we have to edit over 100 tunes or not.

You have quite a few tunes over at CKR, but I don't think it'll take long for you to go back and give them an edit if Spec 2.0 changes anything. I think you should continue releasing. :)

Fixing 100 tunes? :scared:

Hopefully it's nothing too extreme, that is if the physics, tuning parameters or what not gets changed in the first place.

I've got a couple of tunes ready to go,so i may just go ahead and release them soon đź‘Ť

Since I can't play on my PS3 I can't do a formal review yet but I have to say that the Civic type-R is the best FF I've ever driven. I used the Maxi-pad in the mini seasonal and it was so fun to drive, but I haven't yet driven it without adding ballast and removing power. So I'll have to do a review on them both when I'm un-grounded. Whenever that is. :ouch: I just hope I can get back on before the OCD changes because I got in a cougar XR-7 on accident, I was going to trade it. If it changes I need to retry a '67 ticket until I get a cougar in a color he doesn't have. Luckily the guy is really nice and doesn't really mind, but it still bugs me.

Tough luck on getting grounded. :ouch: Thanks for the kind words though! :D I don't get the 0/0.0/0 mentality at all.
Just wondering if you have received the car I requested to be tuned. Seeing how i sent it last week and got no reply, just wondering...

I've not recieved any cars from you. Who did you send it to?

I'll ask him next time he's online. He's probably got the car sitting in his inbox anyway. đź‘Ť
But he ain't touching it till my Quattro is done.

Edit: Oi, Roj. You interested in a Spoon DC2? I found one, I remembered I sold mine, so I might pick it up. If you want it, I'll pass it to you. Too late, came and gone.

Sorry for the double post, but……

Roj, I know you said you won't do releases till Spec II, but do you still do requests? I've got a couple oddballs for you to mess with :D

What oddballs?

Doesn't bother me.
 Fine. I want you to tune aÂ…Â…*drumroll* Mitsubishi Airtek Turbo! :D And that's not the end either. I want you to get as much of the Evo in side it out into the real world :D  Or just do your normal job with it.
