not drive like a retard?
If there is nothing wrong with driving like an idiot than why was round 2 canceled?
They obviously want people to drive clean.
Also, they are obviously checking replays, and if you people who are cutting, bouncing, and offroading think you are in the clear, remember there are most likely people from the competition keeping notes on what players are doing what. So when you make it to the finals and they ask your PSN do you want to have a record of clean driving or using questionable tactics?
Why didn't they do this in round 1? Well, we didn't make a big stink about it in round 1, people didn't call Sony, Jordan didn't post an article on the home page. If we took the same action in round 1 that we took in round 2 we probably could have gotten a better track than Cape.
Requires clean driving? No sir, it requires beating your opponent.
If he or she is given the same tools as you, you would be A FOOL not to use what you have to your advantage.
Again, whine ALL you want. In the end the fastest drivers (that are also willing to do what it takes) will take the prize, everyone else DOESN'T MATTER
If you wish to be all pretty and dignified in your fail chair. Sit comfortably forever. We don't mind at all.
I'm also sure you flew your "dignified" car ten feet in the air at the cape ring too, didn't you?
So you never crashed the car and reset?
If you were "disiplined", a crash would be the end of the competition for you.
But I bet you found a way to rationalize your own crashes and resets. I'm also sure you flew your "dignified" car ten feet in the air at the cape ring too, didn't you?
They will change the rules because people complained. Will it change the results at all? Nope.
Driving clean, dirty, backwards or upside down won't slow down the fast people or speed up the slow.
You expect a driver NOT to cut a corner his opponent is cutting because of some crazy ethical reason? Doesn't exist in true racing. (as in, the sunday afternoon fun race can have whatever the drivers want, but if you're talking about people who actually give a crap about winning, you can never, ever expect them to not do what absolutely everything they can to come out on top)

Sidebar- Am I the only one that never runs a ghost? Sure, I will download a replay and analyze the technique of a driver with a better time than me, but I have never ran with a ghost, simply because it's impossible to be precise with it. My advice to people who run with ghosts- don't use them. Just watch the replays in theater mode and then make adjustments on track. You'll go faster.

I reset when I went 4OFF at eifel and was ahead of my 2:52.3XX clean lap ghost
I race IRL so your point is well understood. As I said before, people who can understand both worlds will succeed.
I'm sure there is tons of competitors here that never have driven stick shift. But some can learn, some will not be as fast as they are in the game.
I don't think it was the complaints. PD never thought competitors would actually get this nasty. They made a mistake assuming people will have dignity. And that's why they did not DQ them. It was a mistake..
I dont get your mentality. You are already really fast, you dont need any loopholes.
Ah, but in this case you are entirely incorrect. It DID speed up the slow, and that is the whole issue.
Actually it's about 10 feet off the surface. That's different as the jump is actually on the racing surface. It doesn't require you to cut corners, bang off of walls, or fly across a non-paced surface to use it.
Actually it's about 10 feet off the surface.
Are you saying that if I cut indy I'd still be behind the people I was originally behind (or in front)?
Actually it's about 10 feet off the surface.
It would have all balanced out if the fast people started cutting too. It wouldn't have changed ANYTHING.
off topic want to buy a rig and want ot quik.maybe choats can help cuz i want evolution i think looks good for the money . wheres best place 2 buy 1 amozon says ships 1 ta 2 months .please respond .whould like to have it buy the next round.
This debate can go on forever. What it comes down to is this is a SIM or what every you would like to call it and that is it. What most of you are saying is "I am not going to drive unethically 'cause I would never do it in real life". Ok thats fine, if that is the way you feel then please continue to do so.
Now there is real life, I challenge any of you to go take a completely "by the rules" race car to the national runoffs for example. Pick your class is doesn't matter. And you will soon realize you will not stand a chance and it doesn't matter how good of a driver you are. The point is people cheat in many ways most of you would never know. So if you tell yourself I will never modify my car beyond the rules because I think that is unethical, then you will never stand a chance in racing. The sad part is that is just the way it goes. I have been in the industry for 16 years both on the club level and pro'fessionally so I speak from experience.
Bottom line is, in real life you can't drive the way you do on the SIM to cheat so you do it with the race car. With a SIM you can not mod the car so you do it with your driving because you can get away with it.

It's within the boundaries of the racing surface. There, that better?
