For me anything PD do that isn't Gran Turismo series is a total waste of PD time and assets that would be better spend working on Gran Turismo series.

TT (Tourist Trophy) after five years is still the most realistic bike game ever released for both consoles and PC. I thought it was a waste of time when they announced TT but today i stand corrected. IMO i will be a very smart move for them to make TT2, they will shift a lot of copies and that guarantees money. Who doesn't want money?

I really hope it is another TT. I don't know if you played the first one, I only bought it because it was from PD but damned this game was nice! Cockpit view was so immersive! Really awesome drive-feel with this view, overall really good game, you're missing out.

Like Arma mentioned to get that realistic feel you have to go full advanced controls, together with manual shifting and manual leaning.

Doesn't really answer my question though...
I have no problems accepting this game being the most realistic bike game ever, I simply am more than surprised by that ("fact"?).

Yea i understand. There are not many bike games to begin with, apart from the yearly rehashes of the Motogp and SBK series. The last great motorbike game was Motogp 08, since then nothing worth talking about has come out.

For reference on the professional control watch the following:

That video actually looks quite good... though I find it doubtful PD are going to announce a TT game, it's just got far too much of a niche appeal I feel. I'm personally hoping it's GT6 or GT5.5.

Thx for this response. Looks convincing I must say and now I see where you're coming from.

Isle of man is not the only TT titled event. I'd like to see Assen in Tourist Trophy 2.

yeah i know....

Assen TT for exampel but this was the "old" event... on the streetcircuit not gp...

there died some riders in a special cornor... they hit a >>> House

Tourist Trophy was a big success for them. They already have a load of tracks done, there's no way they're not doing anything else with them.

If the announcement is Tourist Trophy 2, I'll be happy, but cautiously optimistic. TT wasn't perfect, and had very dumbed down handling and physics.

This is true, even in professional mode. The brakes and acceleration behave weirdly, like they're being regulated in some way (like a mild ABS / TCS thing, but inconsistent). The tyre model has similar inconsistencies to GT4's, although there are new ones too (like the ability to sustain high-angle two-wheel drifts and recover from them... not something you'd do on dry tarmac with soft tyres without some kind of death involved!) Also, the low-speed and general drivetrain physics are typical PD, and falling off is a bit goofy. :dopey:

That said, the feel of the handling in general, and away from the absolute limit, is fantastic and very involving when set to professional - the suspension and leaning / riding form dynamics are great and, paired with the "cockpit" view, are very, very entertaining. This is all wrapped up in a fairly minimalistic, neat, GT-esque "ownership experience" with nice customisation features. A great rundown and demonstration here, Nürburgring here.

Don't forget, Gran Turismo was once niche, too ;)

I have got a feeling that it will be some "game changing" upgrade to GT5 that will make it into a new game so it says gt6 when you load it up, nothing else new though...

How about having a massive dlc that integrates tourist trophy into gt5 this way thoose of us who want bikes in gt5, get it and the people who want tourist trophy can then by a gt5/tt game in store. This way more gt5 games are sold and dlcs are sold which equals massive wonga for pd.

I hope it's TT2. TT is currently the best M/C game out there for game-play... unless you like unrealistic arcade-ish type M/C games.

C'mon TT2!! (as you can see from my avitar... I like to ride bikes close to the turtles)

"Please don't underestimate their work even if they disappointed some of you."

I don't Understand what they mean by that and is this a PD message to the fans , as far as I know GT5 didn't dissapoint (in some ways to some people yes)so what do they mean behind this exactly :odd:

Newsflash! GT5 A-Spec is way too small. Full story at 11.

Yes GT5 disappointed a LOT of people. Look at my sig for proof.

TT2 would feel this as you shouldn't underestimate how good it is but some people will be disappointed.

On another note I'm a gold member, time to order my suit

NGP has already been delayed till 2012 due to issues at the manufacturing plant.

I'm pretty sure it would be made in China (as all consoles are made there now) so I don't see how production would be delayed. In any case Sony have already said it would NOT be delayed.

Even if they announce a mobile title it may be a very long time before we see it like GT PSP. TT2 would be the quickest and easiest thing they could pump out.

Tourist Trophy 2! Please!

And I like the idea of letting the bikes in GT with the cars. Why not? To the post that said "that would be the end of Gran Turismo," I hope it happens. There are those among us who will hail GT as the best no mater what, and we could probably do without those who feel otherwise. To those, get Shift 2, now, and don't come back.

You kind of answered your own question. They're acknowledging that some people are disappointed, and asking everyone to trust them again with this latest effort.

127 events is far from bad ,GT5 is still a Brilliant game (not a complete dissapointment at all .

 .But TT2 is hardly anything bad.

Well almost every game released will dissapoint some people .Never seen PD say something like that though.
