If you mean GT5, that was released too early according to Kaz. Despite that, I think GT has been hurt by Kaz's recent insistence to cater for the casual, pick-up-and-play game-style. It seems he has simultaneously forgotten about the rest of us, and in the process GT5 lost some of the magic of GTs of old.
GTPSP was clearly a much bigger task than they anticipated, but it's still GT - so what I said doesn't apply as much, if at all. It did help GT5 in part, I have no doubt about that, what with various optimisation techniques being borne from it. There's almost no way TT hurt the production of GT5.

As I said, I'd be very happy to see PD trying something different. As long as it's good.

Maybe they will put the bikes in gt5 and make one huge DLC? Hopefully they will add a drag strip and may other tracks. Also, if the rumors are true about that one racing game with F they will probaly add a free roam!

Hopefully DLC or the next Tourist Trophy bike racing game.
 
With the discovery of the track logos, would this mean that the project coming could be an update to GT5?
As in you buy gt5-addon for instance and it has new tracks & cars which add on to the game? Seeing as the rumours were the game was unfinished and not to kaz's standards as some say.
To add on that many tracks etc would be massive and too much to download I'd assume. It throws another spanner in the works :confused:
 
I hope it's a track pack! Btw, If you liked ANY GT game before GT5 you cannot complain about a single thing in it. Sure, some beautiful tracks are missing, but you need to take a closer look at the stuff that IS there. Try racing some of the time change courses in twilight or the weather change over a long period of time. It's the best racing game ever. Oh, and make sure to always race with skid recovery force off and penalties off, otherwise you're just playing it in arcade mode.

Keep playing, and keep checking the used cars every day. I keep on enjoying finding the Import cars that were so much better outside the USA that everyone loved racing in the previous GTs. Only now they look so much better when you can see the different types of headlights from HIDs, to dimmer yellow halogens, to ultra bright whites, the wheels in full 3d, and the paint in its true color. The premiums are just there to showcase particularly famous cars or the last remaining sporty ones in the world. There is no need for that kind of detail in a video game. Premium cars are just a Gran Turismo museum, nothing special unless you want to stare up close at artwork (the opposite of racing cars)
 
I doubt it. The wording is "New Project". To me that says exactly that. It's a new project and nothing to do with any of PD's existing games.

I am going to throw in a brand new driving simulation to replace GT. Could explain why GT5 was sub par as all the resources were being put in to its successor?

I hope this is the main rumor, announcement or whatever you want to call it. Having Midfield Raceway and Hong Kong in HD, or even in its GT4 quality would make me so happy.

Greater reunion will ask for great sacrifice to be made in order to get all present and future treasures without new sacrifices needed, while smaller reunion will come in form already known, asking for more sacrifices if future treasures catches the eyes of the birdtamers.

lol @ some of the speculation. Do you guys not remember back to when Kaz said " This is just the beginning for GT5, it will evolve " -

To me it is just plain obvious it will be DLC/Major Update in some shape or form.

Yes, I didn't mean to be taken literally.

I've just thought though. The Sony Xperia Play currently is lacking games. Perhaps PD will make a game for it, a real 'GT Mobile' game. It'd likely be a modified port of GTPSP if they did do it, perhaps with bits of GT5 grafted into it (more detailed interiors on certain cars etc)
 
The iTunes like GT HD structure sounds like it could be coming to GT5...

This is the part that caught my eye. I was thinking along the lines of DLC as well. That statement almost reminds me of the VIP status that Forza 3 had. If you had bought the collector's edition of the game, you got VIP status which provided access to some extra cars in the dealer(locked for everyone else), and occasional gifts of cars with special liveries from Turn10, among other things. Eventually, the VIP status was made available as DLC, so that others who didn't buy the collector's edition could be included.

It sounds very much like a 'great sacrifice to get future treasures without new sacrifices needed.'
 
I wonder if the free DLC is just the Signature Edition (and US CE?) or all CE and Sig Ed versions of the game?

I was wondering about the "New Project" this mentions but I also got to thinking what if they are going to "relaunch" GT5 kind of like Zipper relaunched MAG when Move came out? Maybe one giant update to add in all the content that didn't make it before the game went gold?
 
I'm hoping it's the start of DLC. I would really like some of the Standard cars upgraded to Premium and new versions, latest models etc. If Forza can do this, I don't understand by GT5 can't...

My thought with this and the track logos is maybe a "Spec II" update to GT5.
