I'm not sure if this has been mentioned previously, but in relation to poor controls for TT games. It could be interesting to see if PD could use the PS3 Move controlers to emulate some sort of handle bar or similar for a bike game :)

Thought i should bump this thread back up just cause i can,
Nahhh, i think from the recent tweets and the tone of those tweets (Kaz's tweets) it most likely will be a major update.

Probably TT2 or a handheld game. Its funny how people flip out over a few sentences that don't say that much.

This might not even be a driving game, it could be a shooting game. :) Or GT5 Epilogue.

How is he a fanboy? I don't think DLC will decide which is the better game, they are both going to be good games in their own right.

There's a lot it could be. I'm riding on a new GTPSP on the NGP, and hoping for it, but a Tourist Trophy 2 isn't impossible, though it wouldn't be near as profitable as a new GTPSP. A new GTPSP would at least push people to buy NGP's regardless of the cost.

Then again, he could show off a Concept of GT5 with that free roam he's talked about. Or GT5 Spec II, which would include that. Or, some DLC. Like I said, there's a lot it could be, so keep an open mind.

I hope it's some crazy, epic Spec II update that will blow everyone away. 500 premium cars, 30 more tracks, and a livery editor! The trailer should have this song playing in the background.

I do not know but know if this was covered, but it may be a massive dlc package as an addon for gt5. Conversion of all standards to premiums and add on more cars from perspective manufacturers.

Maybe a good chunk of the standards converted to premium, but not all of them. Pretty sure that takes A LOT of time, and I don't think they converted all those cars in 6 months. Which is usually the amount of time it takes a single person to do 1 car.

You can be pretty sure that this is just PR BS. Besides... a few months ago even they (PD) claimed (I don't remember where) that it takes up to 3 months for one car. Second thing is.... how many people in PD is doing this? Let's say 30.. That is at least 60 cars in 6 months.

ps. sorry if my English is bad..

Some people here seem to be missing the "New Project" part of this thread title.

Could still be a new project within the Gran Turismo series, and perhaps a 'Spec II' would be considered such a big upgrade as to be considered a new project?

I still think it could be Tourist Trophy 2...

What about GT6 for PS3? If PD want people to pay big money for new premium cars and tracks, convert standard to premium, add 20 / 30 tracks, a livery editor, add events, IMPROVE the AI, add some options (custom championship save during endurances) and call the game GT6. Technically just focus to decrease dynamic shadows, use some blur to prevent pixeling or use GT5p shadows which were ok. They should consider it, PS4 era is way too far, people will be interested on a new (and improved) GT game on PS3.

its pd new simulator game called Kitchen fitter prologue features 2 kitchens which you can build. costs £40.
its going to be bigger than gt5 i reckon.
The full game will come out in 3050 and contain 1 kitchen lol

Doesn't matter anyway, there's absolutely no way we're getting all standard cars switched over to premium. Just not going to happen.

That's for sure ;) ... but I'm also pretty sure that adding a couple of tracks form GT4 (since there are allready some "straight from PS2" tracks in GT5 then.. what's the problem?), some new cars (some Audis, BMWs etc) and ~50-100 premium models of cars that are in game (as standards) shouldn't be too hard for PD.

There really isn't a 'conversion' process. The cars have to be modeled all over again. That's why there are standard and premium versions of the same car in GT5.

Part of the reason the process takes so long is because they have to get whatever car it is that they want, then do their modeling. They can't take the existing standard car and change it to being a premium.

Partially agree, there is no way we can get all Standards switched over to Premium... in the near future, or even in the next game. I believe PD will remodel each Standard or missing vehicle from all previous titles but in a gradual way. A part of GT5's standards will be present in Premium form in GT6 and later more on GT7 and on and on....

Well, only wishful thinking, but feasible to an extent.

They better make more premium cars for gt5 then work on a new title in my opinion, and finish some FFIA and the rest of the stuff they didn't!
