My guess is that they want to tell the world at E3 but since that is so soon PD will say they are ready to reveal but probably won't at the last minute.

But for them to reveal another title coming out at the beginning of 2012 seems like it would be a rushed project since GT5 isn't done and they just released it at the end of last year.

To me, it'd be logical that they would fix their current rushed and incompleat game instead of releasing yet another rushed and incomplete game.

I'd be tremendously happy with a GT5 Spec II, even if I had to pay a little cash.

Whats NGP?

Next-Gen Portable, or the PSP2.

0_0_0 doesn't have the reliable history the OP claims... that's just what they said on NeoGaf. The NeoGaf translation isn't very good either... the original posts are in French.

Still, no doubt that 0_0_0 claims PD will be showing something new at E3.

That's got to be a portable version of GT5 or TT... unless they've remade Quakeazoid (or whatever it was called) :D

The anxiety is kicking in. Just 8 more days and by this time we should know what the title is. If it's for NGP, I think it's safe to say we now know another major reason why GT5 took so long.

And I'll feel like kicking myself in the head for thinking they will never do another Portable game. They're a waste for the MOST PART. You can't use a steering wheel. That's my main complaint. They spent time on GT PSP which is ONLY ridiculous, considering they were working on GT5 and they had to have known they were going to make another game for the NGP (aka Vita). That's only considering if they are making a game for the NGP.

After reading through done of this i'm starting to think GT5 spec II.

A little while back they added a bunch of tracks to their websites that aren't yet in the game. They wouldn't do this unless they were in a GT game.

Secondly Kaz said he wanted another 2 years on the game so the release of this product would be before he wanted GT5's completion date.

I think we will see a major DLC, maybe something like Bad Company 2's Vietnam expansion. Atleast I hope so.

Sorry, couldn't resist! :dunce:

Oh and, E3 just around the corner, will be going angry German-Kid on the F5 key for any news posted on the forum.

It's not even possible that they decided to put the logos on the site for any other reason than to add them to the game. Why would they add the logos to the GT website for no reason at all? If we don't get any of those tracks, we have a bone to pick with PD. False hope isn't good for people who are already on edge in staying hopeful of PD and Kaz's abilities. I'm extremely hopeful that they know their plan for the next year, but no more if we're still left hanging after the update and E3.

It's sad to say, but it's true. I think they know it, too, so I have faith in them, right now.

I don't really like making assumptions like this, but that's a great thought, we'll see soon enough.. Maybe they want to build up our excitement an keep us all guessing because maybe they are planning something nice, that might also be why they've been fairly quiet lately except for a few tweets via Twitter, only time will tell..

I would prefer Spec II but I would take GT for NGP and TT2 in that order. GT6 is not going to be announced this soon.

This.

Least amount of work, max effect of cashing in. :indiff:

damn.....:grumpy::irked:

- Polyphony Digital are returning with a new title before March 2012
- Polyphony would like to make Europe a privilege for its next title. "Please don't underestimate their work even if they disappointed some of you."

The thing that puzzles me is the "make Europe a privilege for its next title" part. It throws you off track. Like wuhhhh?

But it makes me even more excited, although I'm American. I've never underestimated their work, so I'm praying to the Driving Sim Gods that it isn't a game for the NGP.

Meh... I don't want an NGP. Would rather get something else, since I wouldn't buy a new portable.

Taken from this month's PSM3:

"The current trend of classic games being remade in HD like Tomb Raider and Prince of Persia is set to continue with a major PS franchise set to reveal its new HD glory at E3. No clues. But you'll like it."

GT3+4 HD remakes?

That would be damned fine.

Very early GT6 trailer.. you know ... A full nascar pit lane full with teams.. jets flying over.. The Stig....
But GT6 wont be out for ages.

GT4 remake would make no sense. Remakes are there to relive the story mode on a new console in new graphics. Since GT4 has no story, it would be only to update the graphics, and that's what GT5 is for.

I think a rerelease of GT4 in HD and a GT5 spec II are not mutually exclusive.

To the people saying that it would take too long, they may have had a bunch of cars and tracks they had started to make as premiums, but didn't finish before Sony wanted them to release it.

GT5 with maybe 50 new cars, 10 new tracks and a bunch more events (along with some fixes to GT5's current problems and lack of features) would make me a happy camper.

You know what I want. A legitimate road map.

Ex: 2011 Q3 GT5 update w/ details. 2012 Q1 GT Academy 2, Q2-Q3 GT NGP. 2012 Q4 GT5 Spec II. 2013+ Next gen title.

Or something to that effect.

Remake of GT4? What a waste of money that would be. Remake GT1 and GT2 as PS1 classics, GT4 HD is a big waste of time and money. It would have been better as a PS3 launch title.

And HD remakes of GT1 and/or GT2 don't seem to be something worth showing at E3. Though that looks more possible as of that announcement. A GT on the NGP is a far better idea though.

Real quick, say there was a Spec II, what would be the differences, more cars, track, better damage, more on tack feature( more rain, night, and dynamic track) etc?

+eleventy billion, but I also understand why they don't do it.
