Russian Invasion of Ukraine

Russia even attempting to use nukes on another country would probably be suicide. Even China would break an agreement with Putin if he did that.
Pretty sure they're just driving around Moscow (where this video is recorded). This is a regular movement, but on the background of these events they grab attention.

Putin is a meglomaniac. He's very intelligent in the way Stalin was. Or Gaddafi. Or Assad. They're not.
I don't see you weaseling your way into ruling an entire country. Likewise I'm not either - hell I barely got the job I got lol. We're just regular people who think within the rules.

These megalomaniacs don't think like us. You're not respecting the amount of literal power and control that their ways of thinking can produce. Another thing we aren't are commanders and generals in the military, all of whom have studied and trained in the history and habits of dictators throughout history. It's not possible to be successful against enemies like these until you understand why they do what they do. Their biggest weakness is usually their failure to fully understand their enemies, i.e. us, because their narcissism prevents them from believing that they could be wrong, and thus exploring various options the way Western commanders tend to do. They think they're infallible but we know they're not. That doesn't mean they aren't political or strategic geniuses. You didn't mention Saddam Hussein, probably one of the spookiest and smartest of them all.

Useless. Germany and their ridiculous efforts to play both sides are an embarrassment to what NATO stands for. Prove me wrong. I'd say they've accidentally found themselves in a position to suffer greatly from these new sanctions but it wasn't accidental, they brought it upon themselves and it never really made any sense. The most powerful country in Europe, my ass. The German government is pacifist and only caved on these sanctions because of extreme pressure from the rest of NATO. I wouldn't be particularly impressed with them myself, and I wouldn't count on them showing up if a real war broke out closer to home.

It's not smart, and Russia, Ukraine, and many other countries will suffer quite a bit for it. It does take intelligence to play the game Putin is playing, but he's an idiot for not realizing that he's playing a game he shouldn't play.

#Video Yars launchers will be relocated to the Moscow region to prepare for the Victory Parade. The route, which is over 400 kilometers long, runs along the M7 federal highway through the Moscow Ring Road. #May 9 #Victory Parade #Ministry of Defense #RVSN #Yars

The man's family is being evacuated to Russia from Gorlovka (Horlivka) in the breakaway Donetsk Republic.

Source:

Posted on February, 21st, when the major invasion hadn't started yet but the evacuation of civilians from DPR and LPR already had.

It can also be easily seen that the bus has a Russian text under the number (in Ukrainian language, this word would look different).

So, if this man stayed there to fight - it's clearly not for Ukraine...

The only people that can stop putin is the russian people

Dictators need to be overthrown by the masses
Would likely need a gigantic amount of Russians then. Articles yesterday cited nearly 2,000 arrested & some cite 400+ today. The oligarchs would likely play a strong role if they start to heavily suffer.

Now all they need to do is agree that this could be a thing for NATO and start bombing the **** out of the Russians in Ukraine.
To get permanent results they'd have to go the full mile and bomb the **** out of them in their own land too. The Russians' neverending will to have a war has been going on for centuries and won't stop until the entire area west from the Ural has been turned into a radiating car park with the biggest crater being in the previous location of Moscow. Civilian victims? Why care one bit - that's exactly how much thought the Ukrainian civilians got from the Russians too.

The amount of protests across Russia seems to imply otherwise. Seems a gigantic amount of Russians are not in favor of war.

For every one of them that is brave enough to go out and protest, there must be another 10 that aren't willing to risk it.

Not sure if anybody posted this confirmation yet but apparently the thing shot down at low altitude over Kyiv last night was a Ukrainian Su-27 shot down by a Russian AA missile.

If so, that means Russia already has AA defenses in and around Ukraine's capital city. That's not what ya want if you're Ukraine looking to defend from the air.

Also, Ukrainians taking shots at a Russian airbase.

These geolocator people are wild lol.

And it's a reason to believe false claims as long as they help demonizing the Russians, right?
You are making the exact mistake you accuse others of. On the one hand, you are telling people not to leap to conclusions but on the other hand you appear convinced that you know the truth while stating that others cannot.

It is not a "false claim" that it is a Russian-driven vehicle, only an unverified claim (i.e. it might very well be true, but no-one can say for sure at the moment). To be a "false claim", it would need to be established that it was a Ukrainian-driven vehicle, and that has not been established.

However much I agree that it is impossible to know from video footage alone, the incident involving a civilian vehicle being crushed was either:
  • Ukrainian troops / accidental
  • Ukrainian troops / deliberate
  • Russian troops / accidental
  • Russian troops / deliberate
All but one of these would be the fault of Vladimir Putin, and the other makes little sense except to conspiracy theorists...

Don't forget, it works in both sides. If you're willing to sacrifice those who would be doing this - then let it be. It's not like our old man would hesitate to push the button if it takes to.

As a victim of aggression, we will go to heaven as martyrs, and they will just drop dead. And won't even have time to regret.

You heard it here first folks. The imminent military hostilities in... Poland. And Germany.

Pro Tip from a Utahn: Don't believe anything Captain Moroni impersonator Mike Lee says ever.

Edit

Looks like the challenger to Mike Lee's seat, Evan McMullin, is seeing through the BS.

Part of what problem? I see no connection between your reply and my quote.
I'm saying that if you want that shot across the bow to be fired, Europe should do it. Otherwise you are just perpetuating the same reliance on the USA that's led Europe to this position in the first place.

That's to say nothing of the fact that he now randomly thinks Congress should actually use its power to declare war, something it hasn't done since WW2. Republicans only give a damn about the constitution when it's convenient.

High chance that Kiev could be turned into Grozny.

With the city destroyed and firefights between apartments and other buildings basically going to be fights one block at a time.

Also rumours of Russia attacking Kiev in the night.

Bold of them to threaten Sweden. They're just going to go full Viking and drive a fleet of old Volvos blaring death metal while Saabs bomb the hell out of them from overhead. Finland will just cut off their supply of vodka to Russia and then go sit in a sauna.

But ya, I don't think Putin learned anything from presumably having a history class. If you spread your forces too thin, you're going to get steamrolled. I don't know about Finland, but Sweden has better military hardware than Ukraine along with much tougher terrain even though their force is likely smaller in number. They can also cut off the Baltic Sea (along with Finland) and cripple St. Petersburg and Kaliningrad. I know Sweden is neutral when it comes to military matters though so it doesn't really have allies to lean on, but I'd have to imagine if Putin starts waving his little willy around in Europe too much that's going to change.
Those Gripens are really something! I wouldn’t wanna mess with ‘em.
