Actually, I can easily argue that if one side fails to kill anyone, then that side might choose to retreat.
Only if the purpose of the aggressors is genocide...

That you think that counts as a fact is why people are pushing back against your posts.
I said "To win a War (which Putin has started) those on the enemy side must have to die. FACT."

So the important bit is in bold for you.....

I am talking about Ukraine vs Russia.
And last time I checked many Russian soldiers are dead.

So, it IS a FACT.

Your move.

So, the EU and its friends are finally waking up and getting in motion.

Putin was correct in assuming that NATO and EU were put to sleep by decades of peace, becoming fragmented, bureaucratic and divided. Where he made the mistake is to assume the West couldn't overcome those differences. We sure took our sweet time to respond, but the EU and NATO are massive and once they get moving it's a massive mammoth that makes very, very big waves. The politicians are slow to move, but support among the general population is massive, as could be seen from all the protests today, but also support for measures that would economically hurt us, or the willingness to house millions of Ukranian refugees.

If anything we should thank Putin for uniting us and waking us up. This is surely not the outcome that he wanted/expected. Poked the wrong bear there buddy. :D You actually got ****ing Germany and Sweden to crawl back on policies of not supplying weapons (that they had in place for many decades) in around 72 hours and Switzerland will most likely join the EU in blocking funds for Russian oligarchs. I'll admit: I didn't see those coming either, but damn....

Oh, and also don't underestimate the role of Turkey, Erdogan building a lot of credit here and Turkish-made drones are wreaking havoc in Ukranian hands.
It's pretty much similar to how World War 2 developed. The dictator relied on its Speed as it's enemies needed to sort stuff out, but the Power of the dictators enemies eventually catch up.

I just hope they caught up at the right time so this doesn't just drag and excalate.

Why in Gods name are you using that old quote.
We've had Nazi's since then and I don't remember freeing the world of Hitler by not fighting.

That is some 15 year olds poster before they realize the cold reality of the world.

It also doesn't mean what you think it does.
You think in Tzu's battles no one died??

Its been badly translated over the years.
But he means to not fight if not necessary so he lost less men than his opponents.... which he killed in great numbers...

Tell me, how many Wars had no deaths?

And, just like that, the EU became not just an economical and political union, but also a military one:

Many EU members have been dragging their feet for years on this subject, but thanks to Vlad we can come to an agreement in a matter of a few days.

Prediction: That EU military force we've been debating about for ages is going to be a reality 'soon'.

At this point it is a matter of time before one of the countries joins Ukraine.

There are reports that the Chechen warmonkeys have arrived at the outskirts of Kiev. There are photos of a massive row of vehicles and a video of them being congratulated by the Russians for reaching them.
I saw that huge line of vehicles on TV just now. You would think they'd be easy pickings if a proper air force - like with Warthogs - showed up to blow them all to pieces. Where is NATO when you need it? Is this the best that our strategy can deliver?

He's... a strange person. He went to Estonia in the coldest winter and got lost in Tondi district thinking that there's nothing there but rail tracks and some industry buildings. Dude, just go around the building and a live street opens up before you. He could have even visited the shooting range there. xD
That was a disappointing video.

Maybe this one? Pic from a video of a tractor pulling an APS. People in the background laughing "they stole the transport"

You're right, I did some bad math there lol. Good, hopefully they'll buy something other than helmets and actually be able to defend themselves.
We will see where they invest the extra money. Maybe new tech, like hypersonic weapons, more and better AA systems, who knows. The other question is if any other NATO member will follow Germany and also increase their defense budget. Would make sense, as there are plenty of countries that are a lot worse than Germany.

Netherlands will likely follow Germany's lead.

Well, there it is: the dumbest post in the thread.

At least the Russian guy trying to peddle anti-NATO, anti-Ukraine claptrap was doing so for a reason. This is just... crap.

With Putin pulling his tiny penis out and putting nukes on the table, if you support him in any way now, I hope you get drafted and see for yourself what that ****ing moron is doing to Ukraine.
Just because your humongous...

So, this is a driving game forum. Most important question here is therefore, what model is that Tractor and is it available in Farming Simulator? 🤔

Sooo, the EU is going to supply fighter jets to Ukraine, and.....wait for it.....they will be........Russian ones (because that's what Ukranians can fly without additional training) .

Powerful* statement from FIFA.

No more international tournaments in Russia. The Russian teams will now be known as Football Union of Russia and they're no longer allowed to fly the flag or use the Russian anthem.

FIFA is negotiating with Poland, Sweden and Czech Republic, probably to try to get them to play against the Russians for the WC qualifiers, which all 3 refuse.

*FIFA officials are probably still bent over carrying all those Rubles.

Don't worry, I'm sure someone at Eurofighter is making plans for the future right now.

Doubt it would be of any use, due to the fact that a pilot can't just jump into a new plane, and automatically knows how to use it. It would take weeks, if not months, to form pilots for a completely different plane, with very different systems and performance.

For the ukrainian pilots, it's much more useful to get planes that they already know (even if in an older version), giving them the chance to join the fight much faster.

Edit: wouldn't be surprised if some of those were Polish and Bulgarian MIG-29s.

It's the most spineless statement they could've possibly made while appearing to be doing something.

It'd be beautiful if this causes the entire illegitimate Qatar World Cup to fall apart with nothing but the vilest ****holes left competing all on their own, though.

Doing a quick wiki search of the 3 aforementioned Air Forces, looks like Ukraine will likely be getting more MiG-29s, though they'd be ones modified to NATO requirements. Does that mean Ukraine is gonna get a bunch of Fulcrums equipped with Sidewinders (genuine, if not somewhat generalized question)?

You know how much FIFA stands against corruption? 0%. They prefer to do it themselves.

Check your facts again, because this is completely incorrect.

Ukrainian has become the official language from 1991 onwards after it was banned pre-91. Before 1991, Russian was mandatory of use in schools and litterature. The Ukrainian language was frowned upon.

Russian is still an official language in Ukraine because about half of the population speak the language.

I have no idea where you get the idea Russian is banned in Ukraine, but it is totally incorrect.
No, it's you who should check facts better this time.

First, Ukrainian was in official use since the early years of Soviet Ukraine, when Ukrainian language and culture were actively promoted by Lenin, and even forcibly - all other ethnicities living in the Ukrainian SSR were subjected to forced Ukrainiazation, and this is why there's an opinion that Lenin basically recreated the Ukrainian statehood after the era of Russian Empire. During Stalin's rule, the Ukrainization program was halted, but Ukrainian language was still in official use in UkrSSR along with Russian (the state language of USSR) until the collapse of the Union.

Second, your information about Russian language in Ukraine is outdated. Russian had no official status in independent Ukraine until 2012 (when Verkhovna Rada accepted a bill giving Russian the official status in regions where it's spoken by at least 10% of the population). But it was cancelled by the post-Maidan government in 2018. I didn't say it's forbidden to speak Russian in Ukraine, but currently Ukrainian is the only official language in the country, and since 2020 school and university education must be in Ukrainian language only. Despite of about half of population being Russian speakers.

Poland will not play Russia, no matter what FIFA wants.

I mean, if you continue to put together illogical statements and insist that they're logical, I'm not going to prove anything to you with logic.

Let me try it your way: You're wrong.

Did it work?

P.S. Using brackets means that the sentence still makes sense without the information contained within them.
Tell me, how many Wars had no deaths?
So much misunderstanding, so little time. Is it the side with the highest kill count that wins a war? Or is it something else that determines the winner?

Its a peculiar use of the quote given that Putin initiated fighting and is not winning.

However you are thinking in literal terms of declaring war... the art of war is about controlling your enemies. It's much more apt to describe Belarus in that context or other examples of Putin installing puppet regimes.

I dont know what the off-ramp is here, Putin was only offering talks to get Zelenskyy in a very obvious trap.

Edit* Correction, large protest in St. Petersburg reported; cites 51 cities today have protests.

Then, this is being shared from Moscow.

A car with the inscriptions “People, get up” and “This is war” crashed into a fence on Pushkin Square in Moscow and caught fire. Avtozak LIVE writes that this happened after 21:00 Moscow time
