Thanks for this test, good to see my tune do well for the moment. Just waiting for the rest and i know they are fast too.

Sorry for dr_slump, i know very well his car , it's perfectly balanced on the ring and many others tracks. But i think he decide to participate to the shootout on the late hours before deadline and put his car with his normal configuration . Laguna is not normal at all. Perhaps that's why.
But it didn't take out the high quality of his tune. I can tell this.

Sorry, but I couldn’t find anything to like with this tune. The steering felt quite heavy, I don’t know if it’s even possible for GT5 to simulate this, but there you go. While I think I could figure out the correct shift point (7 - 7.5K), I’m just not sure why that was necessary. Maybe I was just in a mood each time I tested this. Again, sorry.

The steering feels heavy........well, the BMW Coupe is very front biased and to be honest, I wouldn't set front toe that high as I wrote. My fault.

The results of the testers are a bit strange, because everybody says something different. That's very interesting for me. Maybe it's so different for pad and wheel? Hmm, I'll wait till all testers have driven my car and see what's wrong/could be done better.

I think its a case of the wheel giving a finer degree of control and sensitivity. So far with this tune and a couple of my other tunes wheel users feel they are overly loose especially in the rear. I'm thinking that the best general purpose tuning would have to be done with a combination of wheel and ds3, however just like tuning a car for online or offline use the optimum tune would need to be specific to the type of controller used. Also I'm sure the track plays a part in this as well so certain tracks are likely to show a larger difference between the controllers than others.]

I wouldn't want to put you to a lot of effort, but I'd love to see a video of you lapping my little Caterham. I appreciate in terms of times it's not going to feature in the Top 10, let alone Top 5...

Man, what does the WRS have anything to do with my shootout?! :lol: Just try for it in between the break for this and mine, which I can assure you will be more than long enough for doing it. I wish I could be part of the WRS as well but a) I'd get destroyed every week b) I don't wanna make a new account for it, it would be far too much effort... :indiff:
 
Blah blah blah Adrenalin. Actually you talk BS because the YB did well, and others too ;) in unstructured Shootouts ;) thats really irrelevant I haven't done poorly in this Shootout ;)

While I'm still disappointed :( I was initially Disappointed at a 10 second typo taking it at face value. I am also allowed to be disappointed if it doesn't do as well as I think it should in somebodies hands. WHAT exactly is wrong with that?

Stop acting like Babies... You make it like I'm having a fit, but it's the people who are crying about me voicing my disappointment that need to grow up.

I respect your Time with the car, wished you could of done better, don't mistake that for crying about it. C'est La Vie.....

Has nothing to do really with your shootout, just what I'm planning to do next with my limited gaming time. All based on an assumption of what you're planning.

Let's just say I'm a delicate flower, and don't like getting my feet dirty.:yuck:

Things are definitely heating up and getting interesting. Can't wait to see some more times get posted. Got a few drivers who have partial lists and some who have yet to make their presence felt. Only 4 days or so left till the deadline. Time to get driving guys.:D:tup:👍

The go-kart on steroids. I have spent no time with this car in the game prior to this test, but I do sort of like it. Just one thing to learn. Braking is for sissies. This car and tune require supreme control over accelerator and steering. Get it just the slightest bit wrong, and you’re doing doughnuts into the barriers/sand/grass/whatever is next to the black stuff.

Thanks Tris, whilst braking is indeed for sissies, I do need to do some work to get it to stop on the occasions you do have to haul on the anchors. I have a few ideas on that.

Other than that, you're findings and descriptions are on the money. Nicely comparable times to myself, in the top end of my better times. I've no idea how some of the drivers here have found the extra 2-3 seconds..!!

Any time, my friend. I am better at Excel than I am at tuning, judging by the number of visitors to my tuning thread. :ill:

It probably would not take too much more work to build you guys a scoring system you can use on any competition. Let me know...
