Now I'm really torn lol, I think I might try to paint them red with a silver stencil that says camaro. Or silver with red camaro letters. I'll have to play around with it.
I painted "WRX" onto my brand new calipers last year. I printed out the proper WRX lettering that matched my rear trunk WRX emblem. Then I taped the printed WRX to the calipers, cut each letter out with a razor knife, then painted the WRX with Ford blue engine high temp paint. I figure @Slash would enjoy the fact I used Ford blue. :D It even held up very well through the brutal 2014 winter.

Here is the thread with pics showing the process.

I saw how good yours turned out and thats what inspired me to do it, it looks really good for not that much work.

Thank you. It was very easy and I think I was finished with both sides in about an hour. I only painted WRX on the front calipers.

Looks good man. I remember a few years ago when you were looking for cars and it's nice to see you stuck with the f-bodies.

After all the work you've done to this car, you will be very sorry to hand the keys over to someone else. Trust me because I've been there.

Yea I'm hooked on them now, ill always own one as ling as I can.
As much as i like this car it still won't be nearly as hard as when I sold my trans am, that was a bad day. One day I'll upgrade to a six speed though but for now I'm enjoying it and working on it. Floors and exhaust are next. Then rear suspension in the fall probably.

You do a stall converter yet? They really wake these cars up.

For exhaust, please tell me you're going with duals :P
It's had a stall since I got it, something around 3000, and either 3.73's or 4.10's in the back. True duals aren't going to happen, been there done that lol. Just too many clearance issues on these.
I've been looking at the hooker cat back with the quad tips I like or the all loudmouth 2. It needs a cat too so I'm not sure how I'll do that.

Meh, if you go over the axle duals get pricy, but you can gets dumps for around $500. Good option of you can handle the drone.

There are some good high flow cats that TSP sells, for around $200 I believe.

I don't mind the drone but I think that'd be too much bark and no bite if you know what I mean. I'm still debating. I really want to do a full exhaust with headers but moneys a problem unless I pick up another job lol.

Well you'll net 30-40 ponies at the wheels with a full exhaust + tune so you'll defiantly have more bite 👍

Yea long tubes + cats + catback/dumps will run you over to $1000 done right with supporting mods. But IMO do it once, do it right. I see too many people buying the cheapest headers they can find then having to replace them after they rust out.

I wish my lt1 responded to headers like ls cars do, considering I already have a catback and intake I'm looking at more like 25-30 from headers and tune. I'll also be getting coated headers but for the cat back steel costs much less than half the price of stainless and sounds just as good.

25-30 is still a very nice kick. I'd suggest something like this. Kooks is one of the best manufactures when it comes to F-Body exhausts. But make sure you call, I've heard people get nearly half off the online price just be calling

I have a very rare and special oppurtunity right now and im torn, my trans am has juat popped up on craigslist in akron ohio, and i could buy it back but ill have to sell my camaro. The owner actually did all the mods i wanted to do to it so its even more tempting plus it was my first car so its even more special to me. Good sense says forget about it but i dont want to regret it later when its lost forever. its a lose lose i guess.:(

It sure seems like it, i just happened to search trans am in Akron not even knowing where in Ohio the guy was and it showed just posted. Very weird  It kills me just to let it go because I do like the practicallity of the camaro ( first time anyone has ever heard that ) but the cool factor isnt even close to the trans am.

That's a rare opportunity if I've ever seen one. I'd say go for it, purely because it's probably the only chance you'll ever get and you'd definitely regret it if you decide not too. Even if it doesn't work out and you decide to sell it again, replacing it with another Camaro is always an option.

I wouldn't call it a lose-lose situation either. Both options leave you with a pretty damn nice car. Think positive mate :)

I guess it is pretty positive, either way I get a car I want. I'll talk to the guy tomorrow and see what he says. There's too many coincidences to ignore it. As of June first itll be exactly one year since I sold it, hopefully I can welcome it home again that day.

I told myself to let it go yesterday but I still ended up talking to him
today, he agreed it would be pretty cool to sell it back to me and is working with me. Even if I don't get it back hell let me know where it goes so I can track it until I have the means to get it back. I sound crazy but I regretted selling it and I will own it again. Plus i doubt I'll ever find another one like it, 86 was one year only for a lot of things and the car is straight rust free and perfect body wise.

I want to too lol, I'm just not financially sound enough now to have it. The car is a money pit no matter how I slice it, too much motor and not enough everything else. The camaro is the exact opposite, it's a dog and an automatic:yuck:. I still like it though and it's not what I want but what I need. There's a small chance it'll all work out, I might try to get a loan ( on a car older than I am haha)

Personally, I think you'd be better off with the T/A. It's already more well off than the Camaro, has more of what you want and is already probably less of a money pit than the Camaro, at least from what I've seen you post. At least the T/A is already setup and prepared for mods elsewhere than the motor.

Yea but for a daily driver it sucks, no heat which means no defroster, 750 Holley and high compression makes it a bear to start and run cold. It's a racecar lol. Oh and it still needs and transmission. It's still my perfect car though :D

Put heat back in it. That won't be that hard. I bet the blower motor is still in there, all you need is the 2 tubes and the heater core.

I know how it is to start a high compression motor cold. Trust me, I once ran 117 octane. Want to talk about high compression gas motor.

Its worth it. Look at the money you've put into the Camaro. You could have easily afforded a new transmission by now.

I wish it was that simple, I'd need a new water pump and heater core cause I have a feeling it was removed because the core was shot. And another t5 would be cheap but it would get torn up in months and with the motor as is a t56 isn't possible due to the crank balancer on the back and 2 piece rms. That's upwards of 2k man. I did all my homework before I sold it so I understand what it needs more than anyone to be a solid car mechanically that I can run like I mean it. Don't worry slash I'll have it back at some point sooner or later. I just want the money to do things right first.

You're a smart guy. You'll figure it out 👍
Thanks,I try to be lol. Being stupid about it would make me liable to be homeless. My dad is hated the trans am and likes the camaro quite a bit, he even helps out with insurance and stuff since they pushed me to sell the ta in the first place. I'll be finishing the camaro to this summer and just enjoy it for now unless I get some random money.

I have the plan all set now, within the next month I'll be getting my eBay stainless steel slp loudmouth copy with quad tips, pacesetter longtubes and off-road y-pipe, and deleting the cat all together. It's going to be straight pipes basically. :D

Pacesetter longtubes, no cat's and a custom 3 inch catback is what I run on my Fbody... It sounds nasty in a good way...

Excuse my camera fail....
