Ya I'm having an issue with the most expensive MR car, the only thing I've found so far has been an MR2 which is not even remotely valuable. I tend to like the categories that include colour, the license plates, and beat up junk.

To be honest, i find other categories that involve expensive cars to be more disadvantageous or advantageous for people depending on where they live. For example, a most expensive MR car would be a lot easier for someone living in Beverley Hills LA to spot compared to someone living in Mobile Alabama :indiff:

Fair - I guess each category has its advantages and disadvantages.

Haven't taken a single shot yet.

I do, however, agree that some of the categories offer advantages/disadvantages for each member...
Perhaps a specific-thing based category (ex. Biggest exhaust tip, most crash damage, darkest windows, rustiest, etc) would be advantageous? These tend to be things that are found easily everywhere.

Next on the list of hard-to-get but not especially far away is this (Another Corolla Hatch...)

I didn't think anyone actually lived in the ACT, but apparently it has a population of 300,000. For those not in the know, the ACT was a territory created for our capital to exist because Melbourne and Sydney both fought over it, then thought, 'Fine. Will just build a new city in the middle then'.

Distance from Melbourne: 430 miles

So sort of like seeing a plate from DC - that's a decent spot even if the distance isn't incredibly far.

I hear ya...

I've been keeping my eyes peeled for the 'Baby Porsches,' but I've come up short thus far. A guy who lives in the back of my neighborhood has an Elise, but I've been unable to find it...

I'm having a hard time with the "Old BMW" category. Most of the models I see are from the mid/late '80s, and thats about it. The AMG one is giving me problems too, as they are usually pretty easy to spot around here. Maybe I need to take a trip into Ada tomorrow...

I'm hopeful that I've at least tied the Old Ford category. Of course, most Americans have seen a car like this before, even in restored form, but they still don't venture off the show grounds very often.

Oldest Ford

I think this is pretty much the best I could hope for,
a 1969 Ford Escort and a 1965 Ford Lotus Cortina I think.

Most Valuable Mid-Engined Car

Lamborghini Diablo SV.:)

Oldest BMW

The oldest I could find, 1990 I think.

Bonus

SLK 55, I saw an old SL 55 but I like this better.:)

Might not be home tomorrow, so here's my oldest bimmer, shot this week. If you don't believe me, I'll get more shots of it

Other then the MR2 my girlfriend's dad owns, this is all I could get. I had to take this with my phone because my battery was dead in my camera.

But Porsche Boxter, not even an S and not even the newer version. Base price $42,600.

I realized that I missed the classic car show on Plainfield this weekend long after it was done. I was busy having a barbecue, and getting a sunburn, so it wasn't too bad...

...You took that photo only a few miles from my house (I'm not joking). I assume you were sitting at the stoplight just before the station, the one after leads to the road I live on...

Wow that's crazy, I was at my buddy's dad's place for the weekend. He lives off of East Paris.

Here is how close you were:

A little more than a five minute drive from my house...

I ran a google search on a Model A and just picked the latest year they were made because since I didn't know for sure that seemed like the fairest way to do it. But after checking again it seems that 1932 is the latest date so I guess that would be what I should go with.

The almost complete set of Australian Plates

The only one which alluded me was Northern Territory, which I'm devastated to be unable to find since it's approximately 2400 miles. Still half a day to go I guess, but I don't fancy my chances...

I love how their is a Countach in the same frame as the Cortina, but we only care about the Ford....

I've got plenty of love for that LC (if it is genuine) but i adore that yellow Countach 5000qv 👍 - if that Mk1 Escort is a genuine Alan Mann Escort it will be worth double the value of the Countach.

I think they are both real though I dont know who Alan Mann is.:)
That garage usually deals with rare stuff they get really busy around goodwood time.
The Fords were probly having a check up before some event.

Out of interest, which garage was it?
