How's the mpg with your foot in it?

Still better than in my previous turbo-Subaru
By about 5-6mpg.

Not sure what you mean. Just drove it to Chicago the other day. I averaged 37mpg (~6.4l/100km). In city, if I drive it like just a plain commuter car I can get mid-20s. Might be low in the land of 1L engines and diesels, but from a car that could be driven around the track with lots of fun - that's plenty of mpgs.

I looked at the onboard computer and it said 12.4l/100km. I didn't do that! It was an average fuel consumption from all the other people that drove the car before me.
The way I drive I could probably get around 6 - 7l/100km

I'd assume "for the class". Most are these days. Not that it matters too much. I wouldn't expect a small sports car to be as safe as a big lump of SUV, but then a small sports car is more likely to be able to avoid an accident in the first place...
