Wasnt the McLaren just a joke?
It would have to be the F1, because at the time it was McLaren's only model. That being said, the original SLR McLaren concept was shown in early 1999, so who knows?

I have found a video of the hidden cars in GT2. I have posted the video below, then I have copied the video description of the youtube website as I am not the slighist bit bothered to copy it myself. And rember, I did not make this video. The person driving is not me. Enjoy!
Cars featured in this video:
Mercedes CLK Race Car
Volkswagen Polo 1.4 16V
Vauxhall/Opel cars
Honda Integra '98
The Mercedes has amazing braking ability, demonstrated by me in this video. I think it's amazing how late you can brake with this car. Why it was removed from the game, I have no idea.
The Volkswagen Polo is a standard small car. It's nothing special but a nice addition to anyone's collection, seeing that it's usually unobtainable. No idea why it was removed.
The Vauxhall/Opel cars aren't usually obtainable on the same game, but by changing the language to German, you can access both of the dealers.
The Honda Integras: They arent included in the NTSC version, but were in the PAL version.
Music:
The Cardigans - My Favourite Game
Feeder - Shatter
