What about that Castrol Mugen Accord? I waswhen I saw that, and even more when I found those two Acura Integras.
That's a possible leftover from the demo. That car would be used for racing car placeholders.

Indi does exist in the final GT2, but only it's Sky background sprites exist now.

Cool, try to use PNG if possible though, JPG leaves that ugly compressionHere's an additional Lancer Evolution V Rally Car that I found. You can't buy it or modify it. Weird. One possibility could be that this was the second color scheme for the original Evo. V Rally Car, but got scraped out:
I believe you race against it as a ghost. But I'm not so sure
As you can see, the GT40 has it's stats defaulted to the RX-7, mainly because it's body only. And an interesting note, the trunk and the roof are colored black along with it's number 6

Try imageflock, its what works the best for me, that and the Prnt scrn key will automatically take a snapshot of your desktop, paste it into paint and save it and you should be good to go.

I'm now using ImageShack. But, what's Prnt scrn key?
The Print Screen key, "Prnt Scr" or whatever it says on your keyboard sohuld be to the right of F12.
And ah, the CLK Race Car. I've driven that car before, it's great. Looks awesome.

No, you don't need an account, i think you got it confused with photobucket
What restrictions do you mean? IIRC only restriction is ypu have to type in captcha everytime you upload and you probably won't have to do that if you registered anyway

Just wanna say.. I registered because of this thread. And then I read all 37 pages.
Just picked up with GT2 again recently, I remember buying it not long after it came out (pre-owned) for £14.99, and I was fairly young at the time, I still remember saving up for it and being SO excited to play it when I got home. My Dad used to help me with tuning cars, etc. He knew straight away to start off with a Skyline. Left to my own devices I seem to remember buying either a used Supra or Celica first.
I think perhaps I started with a Celica because I had been brought up on Sega Rally Championship.
Anyway, all these findings have been so cool!
Some intriguing stuff you've found too, Xenn. Shame we can't see most of the pictures or videos anymore!
I also seem to remember I had more than one demo of GT2, I have a feeling one was from a Playstation magazine.. I still remember the multicoloured Corvette in my original GT1 demo when I first got a Playstation!
Dunno if anyone still has evidence of that.

Nice! I wonder why they didn't stick the alternate rally Evo in the game. Licensing seems possible, but if they have the original Evo rally car, why can't they have a slightly different recolor?
There are lots of possible reasons why cars are hidden from mortals. Perhaps because nobody wants their driver's license to be their car.
And who would dump 85K to RM a Prius? At least I know the CLK Race Car story.
And you probably know that the hidden "ghost track" can be seen at the last corner of Deep Forest as a black line/blob in the sky.
It's still great that we talk about a game from over a decade ago, and all the hidden goodies. Next thing you know, we'll find a hidden body only pink box or something.[/ObviouslyNot]
