1) well,i don't know how to map two sides on one-sided texture like so,you will receive 2 different sides.

2) what is IMO :D

3) about GTR is very special model: i think, taurus sho mod, that makes nascar vehicle is very special too;)

4)thanks cor describing my english:3

5)no. i don't want to get a model from different games.

Press the 'Quote' button at the bottom of the post ;) This quotes the entire post, but on the reply box where you type your message there's a button to get quote markups to customize the quotes.

From what I've seen, cars with symmetrical sides only have a single texture that's mirrored (or rather, mapped on both sides), but race cars or other cars with asymmetrical textures have both the left and the right side as two textures. For example, on your Supra you can see both sides on the map, but on the Astra I've posted there's only one side.

In my opinion

3) about GTR is very special model: i think, taurus sho mod, that makes nascar vehicle is very special too;)
Yeah, but the Taurus SHO is looking closely like the Taurus, while the CLK-GTR only shares a few traits with the CLK.

np :P

Yeah, I can feel that charm. Maybe more about the textures than the actual 3D model though. I am quite amazed by how much small details are on the map, even 1 pixel things like the branding on the car are there. I guess they took a bigger map and downscaled it to have such small details on it.

i think they actually draw them in programm, like paint:D
why?-because if they took a bigger map,and then downgraded it,i have no idea, why so many cars have leaved gran turismo series.
they would be use their "big" maps for next gt 3,4,even5 :D

IMO (i used new phrase for meee :D ) they had made textures for gt2 cars like this:
photo all the car,and then closer photo brandings, lights,e t.c.
photos are hi-res. they can be used for next gt3 and gt4.
but for the gt2,they only need lights photos.
everything like windows, sides and brandings in gt2-drawings ,based on photos :)

yes, they have small details even in gt2 :D
and this is cool :3

Looks not awesome, but something-work in progress (it took me an hour to do this) :D
rate please :3

tommorow i'll try to make a nice one mini cooper ;)

Wow, you made that in 1 hour?

yes:3
but as you can see, there are some little white lines, that i doesn't like.
i will make another car tommorow, and i'll try to make it better.
just it is new for me,to work with low-polygonal cars, because i was always making hi-res cars :)

but it's interesting :)
it's like hobby :D

Hey, uh when you finish these, can I convert them to GTA SA? Of course I will credit you. Also, what cars do you recommend to convert? I don't want a racing car. Also, how do I open a car texture in PSicture?

of course,i will give you car and textures:)
i don't tottaly understand, what do you mean as "credit" (how i understand, you mean you will pay me the money) but i will give you this one for free :3

well...recommend cars to convert...i think you should convert cars, that you like most :)
on your place,if i don't want to make racing car,i would make something like a lister storm, ford gt 40 ,old cars or nissan silvia 👍

about PSicture : i hear about this programm for the first time...
i taking textures with PS1 Vram viewer, and it tooks me about 10-15 minutes to find pallettes for all parts and put parts together in paint :D

about gta sa converting : i think,i'll try to convert car too, just for interest.
tommorow i will give you texture and 3D car archived :)
good luck 👍

Without a way to re-pack the .VOL file, we won't be able to make any kind of swaps or anything like that.

It's unfortunate, we have tools to unpack it, but we can't re-pack it yet.

Well one day it will be possible! One day we also will find E3 Demo!

your'e right,i thinked about it too.
as for me,it's strange, that extactor can only extract, why he cant archive ? :D

Where is the repack program for GT3 games, there isn't. So how did we replace/port files? Hex editing...

(You can't make your own models for GT2 because ZModeler doesn't have export filter - But yeah, custom models in PS/PS2 games are possible, I ported Stinger from GTA 3 to GTA Vice City)

Well done ferrari gt, that's a pretty good mapping you got there :D
I should get ZMod 2 one day, it looks a bit neater than ZMod 1.07b

Bisharp: to open a texture in PSicture, you select 'Open RAW' in the File menu, select your file then use those values:
Width: 256
Height: 224
Bits per Pixel: 4
Offset: 16800
Palette height: 16

This should open the texture. Use the buttons at the top to switch between palettes. You can use 'File->Save' to save the file as BMP.

another hour i spent, but this time on Renault Espace F1

yes,it's much easier to work with cars,that hasn't lot of brandings,like Tom's Supra :D

this time,i made it more accurately,so,here are the screenshots :3

oh,yes,this time i made i wheels for car :)

actually,i have a problem.:scared:
how can i make transparent textures in Zmodeler?
when i'm trying,everything becomes transparent O_o

P.S.
BisharpVercetti,do you need this one?

TGA is a texture format, and it's quite adapted to games. The alpha layer is what defines transparency. Try to use GIMP to make some parts of the image transparent (almost everything that's black) and save the file as TGA. Then import it in ZMod and put it in place of your current tex and it should work.
