Whoever cancelled my posts about emulation, ecc.. I wanna say I'm sorry.. I didn't know that talking about ISO's ecc would have result in a cancelled discussion...

Well, I finally did it; I can port beta cars into the final game now. Look, blue Castrol Supra! Also, I ported the Audi A4 Wagon and beta Mercedes C43 AMG. I attempted to port the 1996 Viper GTS again, but I still ran into an error, I need to investigate what I did wrong.

What happens when you change colors on that Viper?
It just switches from blue w/ white stripes to red constantly. When you port a beta car into the final game; the colors of that model only display when changing the colors.

Though, there's a minor problem with car porting. The colors stay the default car color when you drive it on the track. I.E. My blue Castrol Supra GT went back to green when I tried driving it.

I wonder about that blue Ford GT 90 from the demo. It had several colors while the final had one, I wonder what will happen then if it is ported.

Perhaps it's like GT3 and they have at least 3 models for each car. (Day, evening and night)

I kinda do aswell, just so I could see if I could port SSR11 to GT2.

Here it is in all of its beta glory.

You see, when you port 1 set of car files in place of another set; the color options get ported aswell. So, even if the original car came in one color; you can change the color and see the other colors of the ported car. I.E. I just select "change color" on the GT90 here and it will switch colors.

Classy. If only the wheels didn't get ported as well... but hey, we can't afford to complain too much yet, this is still new. ^^

And yeah, SSR11 WANT

I didn't think about that :embarrassed: That works, at least. Stock wheels would've been nice when they are unique, but yeah.
True, but I think a good solution would be to simply use Gameshark cheats to swap the placeholders with wheels from the A4 sedan. I mean, they're basically the same car anyway

Is there a code for that? I've never seen a code that swaps wheel textures... I'd really like it if I could choose unique wheels like the JGTC cars, or so. I like the custom wheels, but I feel there isn't enough variety :3

Right here:

The only problem I have with that code is that it only applies to the first car in your garage. So for me, I would have to fricken sell every car in my garage to use it on the A4 Avant.

O_O I didn't think of that. Thanks.

I'm surprised you didn't know. I though that was common knowledge ^^'

Wait, I know Pupik's how come I never saw that code? Or is it that I have it but it doesn't work for me? Cause i've had a "wheel modifier" code forever, but what it does is it changes the wheel size of the car, not its texture, so I never used it. I'll check that.

Edit: okay yes, I have those codes, but I don't know how they work xD
They're in parts and I never figured out how to use them. As in, do I have to enter the same value in all 3? And what are even said values? So yeah, makes sense why I never got that one. Mind explaining to me if you got it to work?

It's actually kinda simple, you just enter the rim codes you'll find in that link with the codes of the wheels you want from whatever car.

For example, I have the rim codes here with 4-digits next to them. The zeroes would be where you enter the code of the car you want to use.

801cd332 0000

If I wanted the wheels of a Viper GTS for instance; I would enter the codes for the viper.

801cd330 A458
801cd332 0E81

After that, I should have viper wheels on whatever car I picked.

Of course, I think I remembered why I don't use this code often. It doesn't seem to work, I just tried it on a couple of cars and I kept getting the same bbs wheels for some reason.

Okay thanks for the clarification. Maybe it's not the textures, but the wheel size? It's as easy as in GT1 to check what changes with wheel codes. In GT1 you get the wheel size when you look at the car info.

I wish we could get a "gt1vol". That would be awesome! Imagine getting the very beta Concept Car/Copperhead Racing Mod/LM Edition :embarrassed: That thing was nuts!

GT1 uses car.dat for cars (I don't know what is the file for the tracks). @Leo2236 made a car and track viewer, but progress on it seems to be stopped (it could only open carcade.dat and limited number of tracks, respectively). Maybe @thefanman could help. 💡
