Prune ahha. Oh what a menacing name.
Will definitely give a few people the runs and might even cause a few wrinkles, but it should at least keep em consistent.:lol:

Thinking I either need to find another copy of my current car or else use a full restoration ticket on it, because despite having less than 4,000 miles on it the engine tune up/oil changes keep wearing off way to fast and it starts losing power which makes it tough to tune since I can't count on consistency.

Hang on, is it mandatory to have a fresh oil change on the cars? I may have binned a very very good entry bu changing its oil since I thought it was a given that everyone had to do it...

I have lots of cars man so if you need one and I have it, its yours. Just ask
Well its rather uncommon and unless people are the types to just fill up their garages with oddball cars probably unlikely to get picked up.
But if you or somebody else has a low mileage Toyota Celica GT-R (ST183, 4WS) '91 it would be greatly appreciated.

Surprisingly even though I have a lot of duplicates of all sorts of oddball stuff I only had the one copy of this.:odd:

Yeah I think you have to do oil change/engine overhaul. It says it in this part of the rules.

For this race, participating tuners will tune Any FF carAs long as it does not excide 380pp. Use whatever parts you feel are necessary (or not) and tune it so that it is legal for the event. Ensure you have fully broken in the car and changed the oil before placing it on share. Rule breakers will get a finger-waggle and a frowny face...I'm not kidding. (Again stolen from DB Thanks )

It's not that odd. I've got 3 of them, one tuned, the other mildly touched and one's stock. I think.

You sure its that model you have three of? I have multiple copies of most of the other Celicas all low mileage but not that particular model.

Nope. It's four. Actually, now it's 3, given that I just sent one your way. 👍

Great means I can get back to tuning instead of cycling my UCD, although I did just pick up a 2D...:D

I can tell immediately then that the person who entered the Honda CR-X '90 cannot have done that with oil change as it comes at 383PP.

Well then, shall we screw the rules? Yes we shall. The oil change rule doesn't hold much water anyway, as long as it meets requirements and such, it's in regardless of how "clean" or otherwise it's done. I'd only say this for this particular occasion though.

Onboy it kinda does because I could have added more power without oil change.

Or we could do that^
Krenkme?

Geebaby, its not so much that, oil change gives you a few HP anyway, its that cars above 380PP can be sneaked in and will outclass the other cars due to extra power/torque or less weight etc etc

Couple of things.
Don't toss out the oil change/engine rebuild rule enforce it. If a car doesn't meet specs because of it then its not a valid entry.
Secondly depending on mileage the CR-X might qualify even with an oil change/engine rebuild, just has to be high enough mileage that permanent power loss has set in.

Eh, ok then. Bad Shmo, Imma wag my finger at you as per the rules and regulations of this mini-shootout. *tsk tsk*

Question: do we have to record this and put a video up on YouTube? Or do we just type our times down?
You just type up your times.👍👍
Of course videos are always appreciated and earn bonus cookies for the poster.:gtpflag:

Ah right, thank you for clearing that up:tup:! It's the fastest lap time I'm going for right? Just double checking before I test all these cars haha.

After an hour of testing different setups for my Lupo today, what do I do? Revert to the one at the very beginning of testing. :ouch:

Camber and toe settings revised on setup, as well as parts list, turns out you need to juggle the parts around a bit when breaking the car in.

2nd opinions normally help. :P And I know that feeling, you use just about everything you know to try and get things to work out and nothing works, so you revert to the previous one…*Bang* new lap record. :ouch:

I PM'ed you and you said:
"Don't look at me..."

Ehh, I'm also getting worse at the damn track after more laps, I've no idea how I did two laps before with 1.55.5xx.
