Sebastien Vettel challenge: all gold

I'm determined to get golds on this challenge as soon as I get to level 30. I've got the DS3 and i've heard how ridiculously hard it is, but it must be possible. They wouldn't make a challenge which is impossible to do on the controller. The hardest thing will be getting used to the speed of the car I can imagine.

You have no idea how wrong are you. Because They just did! Monza is the only one where you will do gold but not other two.

Actually people have managed to get Gold on the GP/F with the DS3. I have yet to hear about anyone getting anything above bronze on Suzuka though.

wow, could you post your split times, i would just like to know where i am losing most time...i can't tell the exact times from the video.

19.745
33.745
48.345
1:03.848

19.358
33.488
48.038
1:03.185

I have managed to do a first lap with 19.4 first sector and 1:03.4 overall. But went off track in the second lap.

Got all golds yesterday! Finaly got a 2.09.7XX on Suzuka! I immediately took my carbon X1 online, got bored after about two laps and went back to the super GT cars :D

I reached level 30 yesterday due to the seasonal events, managed bronze at monza by less than a tenth of a second.

At the nurburgring the best i've managed is 2.17.7 after around an hour, saved the replay of it and have copied it onto my pc and i don't know what to do next, i've got 5 objects and don't know which one to upload to youtube.

For me suzuka has been the hardest because i've not completing 2 laps, a couple of times i've got to the 2nd lap but the times are around 1.11.

I'm using a DS3 for these and have the deafault AIDS set-up

Yes it is! 👍
I did it a few days ago now and had no AIDS with the exception of ABS on 1. I was like you and believed it was impossible without SRF but decided to try leaving it off and turning the FF on my DFGT from 10 (my normal setting) to 1 (minimum) and believe it or not that made a huge difference! :)
I went from having 3 silvers with FF on 10 to having 3 golds with FF on 1 and I don't have proof but I have no reason to lie about it.

My advice is to those with a DFGT; TURN FF TO MINIMUM AND TRY. I could not believe the difference 👍 cornering precision with it down was so much better allowing more optimal racing lines and faster steering response. :sly:

I was actually thinking the same, that i should turn down the FFB cause i feel like it is slowing me down. Do you have the steering setting (in options) on simulation?

Add me to the Gold Medal Club!

After unlocking Level 30 at 8pm last night, I managed to gold Monza on my second go, and passed the ghost (although I did cut the second chicane). Nurburgring isn't too hard, but there are some corners where you really have to be careful, and if you don't will cost you dearly. You get about 1 million for golding each track, and if you gold each one you will end up (if you started at level 30) halfway through Level 34.

Suzuka, by far, is the hardest. It took me 6 hours total to gold this one, even though I managed silver on the third go. It is just a matter of knowing where to go and how much you can attack a certain corner and how much you need to be careful elsewhere. I was stuck at 2:10.285 for as long as I can remember, until I got it down to 2:10.142 suddenly, and got gold next time (barely) with 2:09.846.

Top Tips:

Use Skid Recovery - it will help you.

Use automatic - you won't have time to think about changing gears.

Dial ABS down to 1 - it might seem like you'll be locking every time you brake, but it is absolutely no different to 10 in the end as you don't need to heavily brake too much in this car.

Just practice and practice. You will get there eventually, it's just like riding a bike - you can't really be told how to do it, you've got to teach yourself.

Oh and BTW, you will need a wheel - I used a G25, but I'm sure the G27 or DFGT will work just as well.

I got gold on the nurburgring and suzuka last night. Got bronze fairly easy and got gold on monza. Then gave up for ages until last night.

I had to change how I drove the car to get gold though. Also I found it's better to fling the steering wheel than progressively turn for some strange reason.

I do have the steering setting on Simulation, yes. However, when using the DFGT it makes no difference at all. When you go to the options it "blacks out" the DFGT because it is an option which does not apply to that wheel... If you read the scrolling information it states this there! :)
The FF and third option (name escapes me ATM) are applicable to the DFGT but not the steering setting option.

Going back at it later today! I have taken a few days off as it wasn't fun anymore. I'll get silver today :) Also, i think part of the problem for me, is that i have my seat and wheel at my friends house, because there we can play unlimited and we take turns playing the game after a few tries. Every time i get back in the seat, i need like 10 tries before the timing gets right again, and then it's time to change driver again. So, today i'll keep going 'till i get it. That and lower the FFB.

I can finally join the 'All Gold' Club! It took me 10 days of trying on and off; Monza took 55 minutes to get gold, Nurburgring GP took about 4 hours and Suzuka around 6 hours!

I can't say that I'm pleased with the prize; the X2010 is totally worthless!

Oh, and here's the proof!

I just got my X1

I had golded EVERY event up until this, using the DS3

With this challenge, I was actually struggling to get Bronze:ouch:

Will wait for a wheel until I even attempt to gold this thing.

Just won the Suzuka challenge by almost a second (I think it was 2.09,061)! That was perfect! I golded Monza pretty easily, now I'll just have to beat the Nürburgring. I presume it's a bit easier, yes?

👍 Good Luck mate! You will be fine :) It is very surprising how much difference the FF makes on your ability to rapidly change direction due to the resistance (or lack thereof) through the wheel! Just keep at it and you will own a Carbon X2010 in no time.. :sly: Oh, and I completely agree about the issue with the rotation of drivers.. That would suck! :ouch:
Good Luck. 👍

I already have all bronze, but finally got gold on Monza toady :) I was a little bit sick of Suzuka, so i decided to try a different track and got gold! Yeah :D

And lowering the FFB definitely help a lot :) You can turn a lot faster then. I turned it down from 9 to 4. Next i'm going to try Nurb'.

Today a started playing the challenge ussing my DF-Pro.
I got Bronze on Nurbubring, Gold on Monza and Silver on Suzuka..

INSANE EVENT..!!!! :dunce:

Mi poor wheel got a serious beating....

I have finally tamed this 🤬 beast & achieved GOLD on all 3 challengers.

As proof, videos will be up on youtube soon. :)

Guys, has anybody managed to get 3 golds without SRF?

I managed 3 bronzes in 2.5 hours with SRF off, but gold seems borderline impossible at this point.

Just for comparison, I tried with SRF on and it makes huge difference, but it feels even more un(sur)real. You can corner harder and you can really feel the extra grip, but it kind of destroys the experience. You have to actually drive brutally and skid the car, since this is when you get the extra grip. Gold seems, perfectly doabble this way, though (obviously). Did it on Monza. For me in terms of difficulty it looks like Gold with skid on = Bronze with skid off (or not dissimilar).

My question is whether gold is possible at all with SRF off and if so, how much time you have invested (my reference is 2.5 hours for 3 bronzes, SRF off).

I know silver is possible on Nurb' and Suzuka as i have almost done it myself. I have golded Monza. All without skid recovery. I'm not sure if gold is possible, but if it isn't, then i think they have made a major mistake. Should be possible to gold all events in the game without "cheating".

bjosim, I see.

I understand Monza is possible, especially if you don't mind cutting the chicane.

Based on my experience, I would say silver should be very difficult but possible with some talent and lots of practice. I can improve by 2-3, even 4 seconds, although with 10 times the bronze effort. But 5 or 6? Hmm?

P.S. How much do you cut the chicanes on Nurb. and Suzuka? Funnily, I found out I'm faster without cutting at all, without even touching the kerbs. I think I lose time there.

Three golds without SRF is possible. Not that I've done it myself, the best I could do without SRF as of now is silver, gold, silver. But my friend, did it without it. So possible, it is. But then again, he once went to the GT ESWC finals, so, he's what you call a skilled GT player.

just hit lvl 30 on b-spec and unlocked this challenge... give it a couple of attempts but gave in... what a blag this challenge is!

Can you cut chicanes in this special event (I know in Monza yes) in the Nurburgring and Suzuka? Or do you get disqualified??
:gtpflag:

Try using Skid Force Recovery, ABS 1, Traction Control Off and turning off the force feedback on the wheel you are using (or unplugging the power supply to the wheel). This helped me from bronze to silver on Nurburgring and Suzuka. :)

Hope it helps :)
