Sebastien Vettel challenge: all gold

Hi there,

Challenge golded....did just enough on each track to scrap through for gold. Generous EXP points & 3 X1's rewarded...happy times again after the grind to get to Level 30. X1 is F1 on steroids, lots & lots of steroids.:dopey:

G25, manual transmission, Skid Recovery Force = On, ABS = 1, all other assists off.

Apologies for poor quality video....still saving up for a HD capture device for Christmas.

Enjoy the ride. Thanks for watching.

Great driving though 👍

I've got the two X1s for Bronze and Silver. With the silver version, you could change the transmission ratios. What's the features of the Gold version?

Requoting. Also, can the gold version have a car color change? The silver and bronze versions can't. :(

Could you upload ghosts of those runs?

Do you mean uploading to Network for sharing with PSN friends?

Thanks man. Wished I had a 3D tv to watch those replays....:ill:

For gold you get the carbon fiber one.

Like this one:)

i'm just trying to elaborate which way will be faster for me.
I'm about 1/3 in lvl24 A-Spec and just reached lvl27 B-Spec and am looking for the fastest way to lvl30 to unlock the X1-challenge...

Also has anyone of you guys already tested tyre wear on this beast? :D

@ Schnop
B-spec lvl 35 gives X1 takes longer but is "easier". Lvl 30 A-spec took 4 Indy 500 endurance races. Unlocking the challenge is only the beginning. Hopefully I can beat ONE of the tracks today!! The closest I came was 5 secs too slow.

I think the use of this Dual Shock may be nearly impossible.

It's good enough for bronze. I don't know about silver. Gold is in my opinion impossible.

The most difficult was by far Suzuka. The esses in the first sector are pretty difficult to get right. Spoon curve was also difficult for me because I struggled to put the car in a good position in the braking zone.

Unlocked this today and wow is it hard, worse than I was expecting. Trying to keep an insanely fast car under control with the DS3 while pushing it to its limit to beat a F1 world champion's time is an exercise in frustration. The handling is so good that you have to take turns at ridiculous speeds to keep up but steering is a bitch. It's going to take a ton of practice for me to get it down, I think I might just grind my B-spec to 35 instead.

I can't even imagion how long it would take to get all gold in this event at this point. Bronze was harder than Gold on most challenges.

btw you don't have to beat his time to get Gold you just need to get close. Vettel turned a 1:01 on nurburgring gp in the video if I remember correctly which is faster than what is need for Gold.

So finally bronzed monza with the dual shock. What a ride!!! Ballz to the wall 100% and some luck. It is possible. On to the next one.
I'll be honest. I had know idea who vettle was. He sure will make a name for himself after this challenge.

Sebastien Vettel is current reigning Formula 1 World Champion.

(I am Australian, and wished Mark Webber had not lost his cool & spun out in Korea GP while leading the F1 World Championship:indiff:)

I bronzed all three and went back to the Nurb GP X1 challenge and after much trial and error managed to gold it. Now I move on Monza, it should be easier.

EDIT: Golding Monza was easier.

EDIT 2: Finished Suzuka gold too, I now have 3 X1's :D

Does anyone did Gold on Suzuka in AUTOMATIC?? because i had more then a second to loose and i don't know where.

I am much faster on first lap and second one from those Replay in game. But this is still no good enough for gold.

Same thing here.. I really thought that id be at least good enough to own the bronze in like 30mins that it would be easier than the AMG driving challenges but no way :S Its just too good to drive so you have to make 2 insanely perfect laps to even get near the times.. Dunno if i can wait for the release of the thrustmaster wheel now.. Really just want to play this with anything but my ds3 :D

Congrats to everyone who got them all gold.

I just finished them myself, posted nurburgring and suzuka on youtube. The camera will get less shakey after 20 seconds or so.

I golded Suzuka a while ago, using automatic. Heck, I did it for all three golds. It's just too phreakin much to keep track of the car and rough estimation of speed. My head's a bit too slow for that and manual gears. :dunce:

can you buy the carbon fiber x1 or the one you win with silver?

You can only buy the X1 when you're at level 40 and the price is 20mil Cr.

Also, the CF X1 is the prototype version, it's a prize car... didn't see it in the dealership.

I make it my pledge to do all gold with a sixaxis, period. I'm sick of seeing all these "can't do it with a controller" comments because I've got a controller and got 60 Golds (anything I could turn off was turned off!), got all golds in the Loeb Challenge, Grand Tour, all Kart Races, etc., and once again done them all without any driving aids after being told it can't be done without them. So naysayers, consider your challenge accepted by me. 👍:mischievous:

I am using a DS3 for this challenge, so far I have got bronze on the Nurburgring which took a couple of hours to do and Monza which took about 40minutes, I'm little stuck on Suzuka but it is certainly do able, have been within .250 of the target time, will take a little practice but certainly not impossible with a DS3

Took me a good 45-60 minutes, but got bronze on Monza (definitely the easiest), and it took my A Spec level from 21 to 24! What bugged me was how the total time was off from the recorded time. I crossed the second lap at about 2:02 total time, so I thought I had got gold, but somehow they added four second to that and I got bronze???

After a total of about 6 hours trying to bronze Suzuka i have finally managed it, it is with out a doubt the hardest of the 3 but very rewarding to cross the line and see a trophy instead of that dreaded DQ

I got bronze on all 3 events by having all driving assits off apart from ABS which was at 1, also used the driving line for Suzuka which seemed to help me alot

Another thing i did was change my controller buttons so i could keep full throttle and brake at the same time, helped get through the S sections abit quicker having the power applied fully all the time and just dab the brake when needed
