Sebastien Vettel challenge: all gold

endurance races give you more than enough xp to get to the next level

It's incredibly... boring. I finished the Indy 500 minutes ago, and it took me about 2 and a half hours, rewarded about 268,000 XP. It only filled up half of Level 28. Which means, I probably need to do that 4-5 more times to get to level 30.

11 hours more before level 30? :(

Dream Car Championship's Nurburgring will award you around 26k+ experience for three laps of fun. Takes around 20 minutes depending on car and weather.

Phew. After 2x formula gran turismo on monza, 3x like the wind indy, 1x laguna seca endurance and.. 4x indy 500 endurance (and that all yesterday) got my *** on lvl 30.
Started X1 today and kinda well.. feels a bit like wipeout at times instead GT ;p Anyway on pad did monza after a lil bit above 2 hours of trying so its not THAT incredible difficult... Well that was easiest track of them all i guess ;p

Okay, I got all three golds finally and won a black X1. It took right around 3 hours. I ended up turning off the ASM and that helped a little. No TCS, Skid Recovery On, Steering Assist Mild seems to be the way to go (for me at least).

Jerome

apparently you get another, slightly different X1 for silver, as well as the bronze one, i've not heard about any all golds though, and at lv35 b spec you get given an x1 for free (same as the all bronze one)

Isn't using Skid Recovery a bit like cheating? It effectively increases the car's limits by increasing grip in an artificial way, while all other ones slow it down in a way or another.
ABS-off dynamics and grip on dirt/snow roads are also significantly positively affected by this driving assist.

its impossible to make this special event on DS3... its impossible to take bronze.

who made used a wheel?

Possible in monza for sure since i did it. But im struggling heavy on nurburgring. Much more corners and harder once makes it really really hard if not impossible ;/

We've got all Gold.
If you got all Gold, you get 3 X1 - Sebastian Vettel Red Bull - X1 Prototype - X1

Only way i found to do nurburging on pad is to turn skid control on and active steering (i think is the name) on mild, also TCS turned off and do drift on some of the corners. I didnt managed to get bronze yet but had very promising lap before i screwed last S turn ;p

Hi there,

Challenge golded....did just enough on each track to scrap through for gold. Generous EXP points & 3 X1's rewarded...happy times again after the grind to get to Level 30. X1 is F1 on steroids, lots & lots of steroids.:dopey:

G25, manual transmission, Skid Recovery Force = On, ABS = 1, all other assists off.

Apologies for poor quality video....still saving up for a HD capture device for Christmas.

Enjoy the ride. Thanks for watching.

It is NOT unREAListically fast!!! It merely utilises many slices of Old F1 technology that were banned long in the past, as people were DYING!!! Now, with todays safety brilliance i think this ort of speed can be achieved safely but i do not know... The engine power is really easy for its size as that sort of thing was banned in the Eighties, and the gas turbine was banned from F1 as it made the cars "UnFAIRLY fast" compared to the rest of the field that didnt adopt this tech, and doesn't that sound just a tiny bit like the X1? When you consider the F1 banned-fan-after-ONE-race cars were about 11 seconds per lap faster than anything round Suzuka. Like the X1. It COULD be real, it just isnt aAllowed.

Yet

Who said it isn't allowed?
It's perfectly allowed, it's just no one wants to pay the ridiculas ammount of money to make it work.

Could you upload ghosts of those runs?

Is it possible to get the plain carbon fiber version of the X1, shown in the early videos?

Was there actually a pure CF version? Ever since I can remember the car was always in Red Bull livery but some parts of the car where bare CF. I could be wrong.

The X1 absolutely would not allowed to be raced in F1. It violates most, if not all, technical regulations for F1 cars.

The whole purpose of the X1 is to push the absolute limits of current technological capabilities to see what would be possible if there were no restrictions.

are you sure?

Yep.

I've got the two X1s for Bronze and Silver. With the silver version, you could change the transmission ratios. What's the features of the Gold version?

Just finished nurburging on pad (bronze ofc). Only suzuka left. Any personal opinions? I mean is it harder than nurburgring or easier?
