Alejandro de Tomaso is probabaly turning in his grave as we speak.

Exactly my thoughts. What a revolting thing to do to a De Tomaso :(

Anyways, here's hoping the Golf takes it. It's absolutely ridiculous. It's all wings and a massive turbocharger...ohh it'd be such a thrill to drive!

Was there this much hate when that riced out G35/37 won and was put in GT5?

I think there's some confusion over what "riced out" or "ricer" means.
The term used to refer to only asian cars (hence rice) but it has evolved over the years so now its generally acceptable to apply to cars from anywhere. Ricers are basically cars that have been "upgraded" with ridiculously unnecessary and useless parts such as wide body kits and oversized wings. The extent of the mechanical work, or anything that matters, is usually no more than a bigger exhaust tip (useless on its own).
That g37 is not a ricer because it actually is improved over stock performance wise.
To be fair though, I wouldn't really call the corvette a ricer. It seems more like some guy just bought it, painted it blue, put on some big rims, and stuck his name on the window.

You realize people use the term differently. Around here its used to describe a car that even with performance upgrades that is tacky or tasteless and can be Japanese, Korean, or even Domestic.

I did that, for the 2JZ-Lexus , Pantera doesn't interest me, Premium Supra stand-in does. :mischievous:

You can always vote for both (Lexus & Pantera) :D .. If it came down to it, rather have the Pantera than the Vette.

When does the voting end ? or officially counted ??

6 votes difference....

Though the Vette was the first to break the 1,500 votes barrier and no idea if votes do count this late.

I gotta say, I'm surprised that the...dare i say it...has made it this far. Maybe the yellow Pantera now has a chance.

And a little off-topic here, but is it me or does the De Tomaso happen to have the same side view mirrors like the Toyota GT 86/FR-S/BRZ? Cause if so, it goes well with the Pantera.

Exactly how does a car in Testing camo, a Production prototype and a finished production car count as "A bunch"? The amount Skylines, Rx-7s and Miatas for outnumber three measely C7s.

It's not how I meant for it to sound. I rather have a bunch of Corvettes than a bunch of Skylines or Miatas. What I meant to say was that it's better to go for a car that's not in GT so we can actually have something new.

I'll throw an like for the Pantera, to better the chance that 'Vette doesn't make it. Speaking of the Pantera, if it ends up in GT6 I'm just going to call it the 'Ford GT kit-car', as that's still all I see

Still want my quality 2JZ-powered Supra stand-in though. :irked:

If there was one, I would have voted for it.

But, considering none of us want that Vette to win this, it's in everyone's best interest to vote for the Pantera as it's the only one that will possibly beat it.

I voted for it, I thought it was a very cool car. Although honestly, I liked the stupid liveryed Focus, because it would bring more color to the 500PP road car playing field lol

What are the other cars that the people's choice winner will compete against?

I believe Jordan's most recent news post is a bit misleading. The people's choice winner is not guaranteed to be be in a GT game, it's just competing along with a few others.

If the voting ended at 1PM, than that means the 'Vette won as it had the most votes at that time.
