Wondered what happened, thanks Basse. đź‘Ť
(the typing thing kept coming and going)

Gonna open a room in 5 for practice before the race, I gotta figure out how to make this GT turn-in better or continue wishing I used the 458.

Yeah dont know what happened. Text screen just flashed and it was gone. And was denied when pressing the ps button on the ds3 so could not send pm.

Not the race room but good for practice for the next hour.

Guess we may as well not dodge the elephant in the room, since this isn't Japanese touring cars, we have the options of finishing the season (4 more weeks) with 4-8 drivers, or we can just call it what it is.

I'd be more disappointed if I didn't expect this from before the series even started, but predictable is as predictable does.

Edit: I could open the race room Rich, but if memory serves, nobody likes 7 car races, and that's clearly what this series is destined to become...

Might as well finish this race and see where that takes us.

Well that stinks, I had my day setup around this. I wish I could say I was a lock for the rest of the season but I might miss 1 more race :(.

What is their secret? Race cars? Downforce? track list?.

I'm fine with finishing today's, we all practiced and are ready, etc. (We'll finish the series if enough people actually want to continue)
Do we at least have the 7 that qualified?

Of course that Nobody likes 7 car races, but come on, you did your best to create this series and we have fun in each race that we compete here, the idea is very very original and I don't have any doubt that all of us enjoy your serie!! I hadn't any time to practice, only did 12 laps around the circuit but I am gonna race because for me is very amused!

If we have a good 7 that are ok with racing 7 man races I don't have a problem with that, in the past the general consensus was to quit with less than 9-10 though, so idk,

I'll open a race room now

I don't know why...my GT5 works terrible and did stupid things, first my car started by self, in the middle of the race I couldn't see you in my mirror all time, Getting to the pits I lost completely the control without reason, then my car stopped on pits and never more got out.....I don't know what happen with my GT5, I am gonna reinstall and then see what happen. I am so sorry if I was a trouble for CSL, carracerp and basse!

No problems from me, my frame rate froze a few times making braking zones tricky.

I think I lost my race in turn 1, I should have had rich but I got in wrong. After that I spent to much time thinking about that instead of the race.

Still had fun, can't wait for next week, finally another good track for me like spa.

If I had known there were going to problems with numbers, I would have made a better effort to get up in time. Sorry :/

I'll be there next week.

Can't explain the first few things. What probably messed you up in the pits is how you came in. Unfortunately, if you go in too fast or, in your case, sideways, that will often glitch the stop. I know that has happened to someone at GVS Reverse in a race a long time ago.

First off, fixed.

Second, that was a brilliant start you had, and I honestly thought I would lose 2nd. However, I've seen enough of these pass attempts in other series to know what I needed to do. I had to give you the room on entry, and arc the car just right, so that I would still be on your outside on the exit. What I knew was that the inside car lost speed trying to keep off the other driver, and many times, they lose control or have to lift more than they want to. I also had to trust you wouldn't punt me off to the grass, which happened to me before. Honestly, that was a great try. đź‘Ť

Oh, and sorry if I crowded you a bit going into T3. I wasn't sure if you were letting me back in line or not. Really needed a spotter to tell me whether I was clear or not.

As for my race, not much else to say. I kept losing the bulk of my time in Sector 1, where I had to play with the gas exiting the long corner where as wge could just really power out of there. Also, I lost the rears pretty quickly, which really tanked my times the last few laps. Stuck with 2nd, again. That's the 22nd time I'm the first loser.

I'll put up results and fast laps in a few.

We ended up with a good race of 10.
It wasn't an epic race of global proportions, but it sounded like most of us had fun. At least bar errors and Anthony's getting stuck in the pits. :/

Luckily with me hosting we had a pretty solid and lag-free connection overall, no D/C's until Tim half an hour after the race. (which was weird, but :) for the race)

Anyway I don't want anyone to feel like they have to race, I know a couple said they might make each race the rest of the way that couldn't this week, it might play out nicely in the end yet.
I think the real key is just getting on and running some laps, maybe a bit earlier in the week, it's always frustrating trying to start a combo Saturday night, by when of course there will be top times to measure up against.

I think the difference is in series like JGTS and GATE, there's just so many drivers signed up the practicing compounds itself, and there are enough to join up in rooms with 5-10 guys practicing at once sometimes.
It's contagious. đź’ˇ

Guess I'll have to practice GVS like hell....:mischievous: ACR this week

Hilarious to watch the start. I was a FR cars surrounded by MR machines. I might as well have been a rolling chicane.

Same here (I got D/Ced), could have been a global thing?

Sorry lol.
That 458 as a great 2nd gear launch. I needed to stay glued to your door on entry and I missed the brake point (to early). I tried to stay on your door for the exit but I didn't have the angle I needed.

I had room but only just. I wasn't planning on letting you in but if you didn't see me I was going in the grass so I backed off a little. Turned out it was too much and gave 4th place a run on me.

I sneaked in a few laps at GVS with the Ford GT. 58.75, but I have to deal with bonkers turn-in understeer. On the plus side, tire wear may make this car stay fast over time.

Yeah, I was originally planning the vette there. But I drove it today because your's looked lonely. :sly:

suppose we just flip a coin between ferrari and ford this week and next.

I'll have to test the GT at Suzuka. Something tells me the initial understeer will be too much to put up with.

Did you use the SLS already?

Maybe just preference, the SLS is second on my list for GVS, though I'm 99% I'll use the ACR.

Basse, I need you to sign up in the link in the OP so I can add your results to scoring please. đź‘Ť

He registered so I went ahead and added his result and put me and scanny on the quali sheet so it lists the cars used correctly.

Interesting to see if any other car can catch the lambo now that they've been pretty used up.

The Lambo isn't the fastest car at either Suzuka, GVS or the NĂĽrburgring Nordschleife.

That's what I was thinking, though I'm not sure many drivers even have a use of the car left.
The 458 is going to get a good jump very soon, but if a car gets used too much in the same week it can be detrimental to points. (If a lot are planning their 458's for Suzuka like I think they might be)

Tough call. I want to say I can get the same times with the GT and Italia at both tracks. The difference is that the GT is a little better with wear. Probably will use the Ford at GVS, although I'm not sure if I want to set my brake bias at 4/5 or 3/5.
