Think I ran 4/5 last week with it. 3/5 is good for Q (do a burnout by the way), ((I didn't do either)) But 3/5 is bad for towards the end of a stint, the tires wear very quickly once the GT starts sliding around.

I am a little confused, I was watching the replay of the last race and I figured that my tire wear was worse than CSL (same car), ok you can say, different driving style, other brake balance, can be, but I was lost when I saw that I had worse fuel wear!! Someone could explain me this, I think use the same wheel than him (CSL), DFGT.

I was drafting and short-shifting a decent amount through the first half, due to difficulty in passing.

I use the Fanatec GT3RS wheel with CSR Elite pedals now, but it wouldn't change the fuel economy. 👍

Had the same thought here. Only place where I really need 3/5 is the 2nd tunnel corner. I always feel like I do that section wrong.

I thought yo did 58s in the ACR? I did 20 laps 2 nights a go in an unbroken in ACR (23 miles) and got a 59.03X with 3 tires off on the exit if the last turn. Maybe I'll be on pace this week :D (if outlaw and w-g-e stay out of the Ford GT).

I finally got some time to break in a ford GT to 110 miles. Big difference.
I'm dirt slow in T2 and T3 but I can run 39.7XT1 and a few 38.2 T1s.

Wes ran 58.5, so if you're turning 58's you're good car 👍

My time expectancy, provided my internet is working again by Sunday, is mid-low 58's in the ACR.

By the way, my internet may have crapped itself again.

58.9 to 58.8. Figure I'll Q a 59.2 because I only seem to be running 58s after or on lap 3.
I need to pick it up in T3. Seems I'm down big time (I'm at 40.937 to outlaws 40.518).

Anyone have any tips for T3?

I'm certain it's that last corner. Any car that's not the GT or the Italia have issues getting through there with any type of speed. I found tapping the brake ever so gently on entry is better than trying to lift off.

And yes, that Sector 1 time I have on the board is not a good one, so there's a low 58 in there for me... maybe.

Off camber - weight.
LFA might do okay there too. Might not have enough grip for a good exit though.

I can finally run a 58.71X on lap 3 (Ford GT), I might have a shot at a 58 Q.
Not sure what I did but I finally got a good last sector.

This is shaping up to be an interesting race it seems. I tried the ZR1 (with maybe 20 miles on it) a few moments ago and got down to a 58.3, although it's a bit of a tricky car to navigate around this track and I'd imagine the tire degradation will be worse than the Ford GT and Viper. I'm not sure how the cars really stack up around here, so I'm still a bit undecided on my car selection. I briefly tried an unbroken in SLS, but was a bit disappointed by its pace among a few other things, although I think it's a car that might possibly gain a good amount of lap time once broken in? (due to better low end torque for the commonly used 3rd gear). I'm afraid if I go with the ZR1 I might get stuck in a heated battle a few places down the order, which would likely put me out of contention for the win toward the end of the race :scared: Guess I'll have to do some more testing tonight.

could just burn your Ferrari and hope the ZR-1 is ok on tires at suzuka

This series looks very interesting, can I have a look tomorrow? I presume that you are racing tomorrow. If so, I would love to see and possibly join in!

Can't see why not 👍

I'm stuck in the high 58s, is anyone practicing right now?

Just closed.

Q'ed with a 58.832, which is about where I'd thought I'd get. If I can just get Sector 1 pinned down...

I hope to be on in 1-2 hours or so to practice and Q; out at the moment . Ford GT time, I think.

Edit : If everyone's asleep/unavailable I'll try again in about 9-10 hours.

I'll keep an eye out. Need to break in my GT. Apparently, I forgot to test it fully broken in. :dunce:

And another Q in the books:

Driver: carracerptp
Steward: outlaw4rc

Lap 1 - 1:59.763
Lap 2 - 1:59.575
Lap 3 - 1:58.848

The nap I was hoping for never eventuated - too much sugar for the little dude at the party, apparently. I'll poke my head in around 7 hours from now, or get up crazy early for the deadline if no one's around.

Got a room up:

1472-6681-3115-0604-9520

I'll be practicing for a bit (hour or two max, as sleep is highly indicated), and hopefully will Q. Can observe, too.

EDIT: Snow, I'll reset or make another. Or you could make a room.
EDIT2: Shut.

I'm knackered, and am headed to bed, but the room was still open when I stumbled out.
