bleh.... do a 29.748 in free-mode... go into race mode and the car slides all over the place and feels like it has no brakes. chalk up one more bad qualifying for me.

Well guys, our van broke down and we're stuck on the highway, doesnt look good for me to race. :(
I'll keep you posted if I have a chance of making it. :yuck:

Damn, sorry to hear! I was hoping you could possibly play blocker to Rich behind  GL getting the van back on the road asap :)

That's very unfortunate Dom.:(

Thanks to the weather I will not be able to make it either.

Im headed home now, but it looks like it will be about 230. GL and be safe if you dont hear from me before the start.

wow, what a ****** weekend.

disconnected 10 laps from the finish... while reeling in 4th... yay!

this week wasn't supposed to be my drop race.

Congratulations for your win Theoutlaw....impressive pace...of the other world!!
And good fight outlaw, I hope next race Q in front of you..!!

Another week, another beat down by Brock. I sense a pattern.

As for me, my pace was off, and I'm not sure why. I had been running high 29s, but in the race, Piggly Wiggly must have eaten when I wasn't looking as it would not turn like I wanted it to. Anthony stayed in my rear view the whole race, the text box was going crazy, and my eyes were so dry, I had trouble seeing where I was going.

Had some luck in getting 2nd today. Looking forward to what has always been one of my best tracks, but also where I get the most DC's.

Off today for MLK holiday so I'm going to be testing cars to figure out my remaining choices and keep poor Rich from being all alone on the Practice Board.

figured out this week... Suzuka, GVS, Motegi is a much harder nut to crack.

No Nordschleife practice laps yet? :P

Nurburgring lap board with alien drivers for each car
7:05.141 - Ford GT
7:05.591 - Murcielago
7:06.634 - 458
7:06.929 - ZR1
7:08.734 - ACR
7:10.280 - SLS
7:10.413 - LFA
From the Nurb lap board on SH's, with wear off, probably about ballpark figures with SM's and wear I'd guess.

Iirc in pre-season Motegi I ran low 48's with the field. (did more testing there)

And still totally undecided on car selection for every race left.

No because I'm focusing on tracks where I can actually be competitive. At the 'Ring, I'm a rolling chicane.

If you can run 48s at Motegi, then you've already won (check the practice board).:sly:

FYI, I just noticed on the PURE website that the cars everyone used for Laguna are showing up on the Spa page as well.

Yeah yeah, 48's, 58's, something like that.

Tim would know better than I, but it's probably a catch from running the same car in every race in other series. I imagine it'll change every week maybe?

Can I just say how annoying it is to wait eight minutes just to start a lap at the 'Ring, and then have it go all wrong with two sectors to go? :grumpy:

Edit: Okay, I finally put two laps in... with the other eight attempts resulting in accidents. :boggled:

Oh, yes. I probably would have tried a bit harder on the C7 seasonal but for the cold tires, but the warmup for nothing is way worse.. I'll probably practice offline.

balls.... I'll have to chase down that bug.
changing cars every week was a bit trickier than I expected :dunce:

edit: Should be fixed now.

Yeah, if you just want practice online is good, but to record laps I would go into practice. Same physics finally and all that. :)

I'll keep that in mind, but after yesterday's disaster session, I'll probably eschew practice until I absolutely have to get some laps in.

BTW, Tim, there's 12 sectors at the 'Ring. Knowing you're a 'Ring rat, I'm assuming that's all you could put on the PURE website. :)

Nope I can make it as high as needed; we just pulled all the sectors off of the WRS database. So some of them aren't perfect, just fixed the nordshleife so you can put in all 12 now.

Oh yeah, the WRS doesn't include a couple of the final sectors on the Nurburgring and Sarthe, but I imagine we got Sarthe already.

Hmm. Tested all cars that I can use (minus the Lambo) on GP/D last night, and I was only in the 35.3-35.8 range with all of them. After the very encouraging results at Laguna Seca, a 2 second gap to other people's testing results leaves me a bit clueless though. I'm apparently doing something wrong. Guess I should start comparing sector times, although I'm probably losing equal amounts of time in all sectors.

No clear-cut favourite for car selection yet though.
