SFGTP2 Results & Photos Thread. (Who Am I Kidding? These'll Never Get Finished!!!)

Smallhorses, for the sake of asking how goes the writeup for the races that took place at SFGTP2? It's been a while since there was a post in this thread and I was wondering if this has been put on the back burner for some odd reason. :)

:guilty: Erm, now that you come to mention it.....
Well, er, I caught quite a serious case of "Can't-Be-Bothered-itis" and got infected by the WRS again!
Have been on a mission to complete my quest of buying and driving every car in the game, without touching B-Spec to make money, which is pretty tough, I have 525 cars in the garage and I'm currently down to just 2 which aren't driven. Still have 203 new cars to buy though, and require almost Cr. 80,000,000 to do so, needless to say I have some work to do!
Also been busy with real life, wife, work, playing with the Porsche, messing with the Miata, but then a series of events ended 2007 in not quite the way I would've liked. I'll leave it at that. :(
It's something of a tradition to leave a semi-complete results thread hanging anyway! The pictures are up, 👍 the folks that raced know what went on, 👍 and it's a lot of work to write a race description for 40-odd races from memory!
I stopped taking notes after race 20 of event 1!!! :dunce:
So now I've just mostly forgot what happened! :guilty:

I'm glad to see there's someone eagerly awaiting the rest of the race descriptions though, so since I know I'm going to be staying in a hotel on business for at least a couple of days in the next month and will be bored, I'll concentrate on making an effort to recover what details I can from the old grey matter (those bits which haven't been killed by Scotch! :P) and concluding the results. Will be back from a funeral in England on the 14th, so keep an eye out for something after that.

And besides, they're at least 50% more complete than the UKGTP8 results! :D
 21 racers, 18 stations, God-knows how many races! There's no wonder Famine hasn't updated, I'm surprised his brain didn't melt from the logistics of organising the whole thing without worrying about writeups too! :scared:

Brain? I though Famine ran on a CPU. Anyway, I'll have a look-through the remaining races and see if anything jogs my memory. :D

edit: Ooo! Picture accompaniment of my worst race! :ouch:

Man, that Z06 was hard on the tires. IIRC, I built up 3-4 seconds in front of second place(juana b., presumably) but the tires were orange by mid 4th lap, and I simply could not control it around the slightest of bends. I recall jump_ace having quite a problem with that car on Côté as well.

so when's SFGTP3? :irked: hahaha

Are you sure you want to risk triggering "The Big One"? :scared::lol:

If everyone is still interested, it'll have to be around the beginning of April when the snow is starting to melt. Went to Kirkwood at the weekend and have got the 'boarding bug back again! :mischievous:

I'm down for april 11-14 ^_^
You don't like me very much, do you? *sniff* ...but, but, but you and me won the enduro challenge together :(

Actually, we can have it that weekend if we use PS3 and GT2. I'll just set up on the beach in Maui, and access your LAN from afar :D:tup:.

Currently, and according to the 10-day extended forecast, E'ville is getting absolutely shat-upon with rain. This, however, has also lead forecasters to predict that Tahoe snowpack, which is currently averaging around 6ft in most places at base elevations, will be doubled in the next 2 weeks. :D
This in turn means we're likely to get a good riding season, and SFGTP3 ain't likely to happen until it starts to turn to mush!!!
See you guys end of April then? 👍👍👍👍 :)

I saw a pink 'skin' for the Playstation keypad yesterday. Never knew they existed. Didn't inspire me enough to become a girl racer though.

Although....the preview video of GT 5 astounded me!!

:nervous: I fear I cannot go this time cause I need to save up $ for our honeymoon this July. Perhaps the next one, but I'll pop in to see who is going :)

Jerome

Really? I can't think of a better honeymoon than playing video games in a garage with other men :sly:.

Thank you! I see no problem with that either lol. I sent ya PM Kyle, lemme know if you are interested 👍

It's kinda melty, but this weekend was aaaaaaaaaaaaaaawwwwwwwwwwwwsome nevertheless!
It's going to continue through March & April too! :)
