Given you have the option for any car in the game to buy it with "in game" money or over PSN, it makes perfect sense for the legends cars to be free. You just paid for them and you want to pay again?! ;O...

It makes sense from a gameplay perspective too. I want to hop in an old car and take it on an old track right after I buy the DLC, making me dick around doing things I don't care about in order to get access to something cool is the Gran Turismo philosophy and I'm very glad SMS have not followed that road.
 
So I broke down and got the Xbox version of S2U because of the broken Fanatec FFB on the PS3 and no mention of this issue being addressed in the upcoming patch.

This also happens to nicely coincide with the PSN outage, so I can have my Legends DLC! :)

I installed the game last night and immediately bought the Legends DLC. All cars are $0.00 cost, so even though my career is at 0% I have all 12 legends cars in my garage.

I do think the game looks better on the Xbox - but ironically for some reason the photos come out extremely dark and fuzzy when posted on the Autolog gallery online and look much worse than the PS3 snaps I have taken in the past. Here are a few very quick Xbox snaps - I only got a few minutes to play last night. I lightened them up using the Windows photo editor tool - not the best, but all I had at the time.

So far, I love the cars and tracks - the lack of NFS signage and crap on the old tracks makes all the difference in atmosphere and immersion into the game.

Cheers! That looks excellent! I'm really hoping Sony sort their PSN issues out soon, because I'm looking forward to getting this sweet DLC! 👍

Actually, I would have preferred, if the cars would be priced reasonably, new challenges would have been added, to earn money and buy these cars.

This indeed is factor, I really love about GT series games.
You have to earn money first, to be able, to afford to drive or even tune a car.

Having all cars waiting for you, to be driven at will always made them quickly less interesting to me.

Anyway, I am looking forward to the tracks and especially the Porsche 911s, the Skyline and the Z.
I really hope, Shift 2 takes off and get's popular, it's a great software.

I just heard, that my racing seat will be arriving this Saturday, so it is racing weekend then with Shift 2 with or without DLC ;-)

So what you're saying is that it wouldn't piss you off to no end that the cars & tracks you just PAID $10 for were locked? I don't know about you, but I actually like to have what I just bought.

EDIT: Apparently the FFB has been fixed for Fanatec wheels along with Logitech. Just reset your wheel settings in the game to default.

Crap, I always thought it was the other way around (xbox having the better photo mode).

I guess I was mistaken.. :guilty:

Yeah - very strange since on screen, in game, Xbox looks better than the PS3, but it certainly didn't in the pictures on Autolog.
 
Actually, I would gave liked the cars in the game priced reasonably. I like DLC to become fully part of the game, just as though the content was always there.
 
Finally good my Xbox back online, downloading the pack now... Slow internet connection is slow, though... Darn, as soon as I was connected to XBL, my 'nah, who cares' sentiment was blown away, so I stocked up on MS Points online and just bought the DLC :D

Had 400MS Points left in my account, though, didn't even know about them anymore... So, basically, I've only payed 6€ for the Legends Pack.

Dang, no Forza Car Pack had me this excited!

I really love how the 3.0 RSR demonstrates the spirit of automotive engineering back then...

Today, it's like:
"Hey boss, the car's oversteering too much!"
"Okay, use this computer to cut the engine power, this one to control the dampers, this one to control the steering and this one for force feedback so the driver still feels like he's in charge of things."

Back then, it was:
"Hey boss, the car's oversteering too much!"
"Throw these huge tires on and tell our customers not to kill themselves."

Only played 1 track so far which is Rouen Essarts but raced round it with every new car and wow!! Just stunning! Personal favorite is the Ford Capri! LOVE IT 👍

Special shout out to the 911 Carrera RSR....this car has got a loan of GT5's special racing tyres...it is glued to the road! Fantastic!

Yeah, I was getting a bit off topic and actually just meant them patching the levelling in general. Liike many others I'm at lv20 and didn't want to continue career mode until a patch increased levelling, but it sounds like that won't happen soon if xbox people didn't get it.

Back on topic, the BM looks sweet. Despite the PSN hackup, I'll be buying the pack when things get back online.
 
I was going to buy the dlc, but ended up getting shift 1 instead. Maybe down the line I'll get this dlc, along with the first shift dlc.

From the footage on youtube, this look like an excellent package for only 10 dollars.

Why waste your money on DLC for the first one, fairly certain it's all in S2?

Unless it's the Ferrari one on the 360 of course.
 
Got to say this dlc is excellent. No turkeys what so ever.

All true classics.

Best value dlc I've bought.

Funny thing is I've just got my wheel back and still got loads of career to do.
I can now go through career with a load of classics in my garage for fun.

Obviously the autolog is gonna be calling me too so I'll have to get some modern rides up and running.

Should bag a load of cash though doing events in free cars.

Brilliant.

monza 1958 gp didn't use the banking from 54 to 59. They choose the wrong year :)
It's a pity because monza banking is mad, madly elevated and in the forest.. i've driven on it in real life with a friend. My car can't even get up to the midlle of the banking... amazing, seeing it and thinking how fast they went with old f1 cars is just scaring.

Even though it's blocked off, it's nice SMS has still given us a way to enjoy the embankment. Thanks for including it. Know i can "cut the track" for good reason.

amazing easter egg.. but it's till a pity that you can't actually use it for races or time trial. If theu modeled it i don't get way they din't inclued the full gop pre 54
