AHH forgot about Rustle Creek! All this time I kept hoping that slot was Road Atlanta.

I'm seriously devastated...

Hmmm... Alphabetically between McLaren and Mitsubishi even...

The most plausible candidates are probably:

Mercedes Benz
MG
Mini

DJ

the slots on the site are wrong, they are all mercedes and the 1968 mini

sls amg--> video replay on dubai track from vetro ( removed but is was a replay of a red sls amg)
sl 65--> video of damage by denis74 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nMA7YhA5pjw)
190 e--> pick on speedhunter with mercedes dtm livery (http://assets.speedhunters.com/Images/Rod 2011/Shift2/FAQ/12-09-10_CUSTOMCARS_41_NOWM.jpg)

mini 68--> video from nfs about chasing mode. (can't find)

Update:

Track List - Nevada Freight Depot, Suzuka & Willow Springs. Removed one unknown track.

PS: All tracks & layouts are now revealed.

Car List - Removed Mini, replaced BMW Z4 GT3 with Team Need for Speed BMW Z4 GT3.

PS: Guess what car it is between Bugatti & Caterham.
I thought maybe a Cadillac but as someone's mentioned the Caparo I wouldn't mind that. I'd rather have the Veyron Super Sport though. Fingers crossed on it being DLC (again).

why are so many people interested in a slightly tuned up version of the veyron? you can pretty much replicate that with the tuning option in game. Not like it look radically different.

I would not call it slightly tuned, but i would see why some folks would be excited to have the car in game. It's the fastest production car at this point, the more appropriate question would be .. why is it not in the game? :)

I would like to see a WRC style tarmac-prepped citroen DS3.

Before anyone gets pissed, i would like to point out that the game currently has a great line-up of cars and tracks. No complaints in that department.

Why all this panty-wetting for the VeyronSS, when the Ariel Atom 500 destroyed it by 1.7 secs around the TGTT?

We get fobbed off with underpowered Caterham's when this rocket exists?!

It seems an awfully difficult car to model correctly...

In Shift, the Murcielago (and many, many others) simply destroyed the Veyron round a track, yet TGTT times indicated it OUGHT to have destroyed THEM...

I think maybe there's no Veyron SS because you can modify the standard one now and it will be up to par with the SS. It's logical they would leave it out to save time and money with modeling and licensing another car.

In 2010 European FIA GT3 series there is a Ferrari 430 running it. Is there any chance to find this car in the game as a licensed FIA GT3 car and not as a Ferrari licensed car?

Must say, while the car list is very good I am somewhat disappointed in the fact that I was expecting to see more unique cars that were not present in the first game.

It's good that they have Alpina, Bentley, Caterham and a few other manufacturers that were missing from the original but it appears as if the vast majority of cars (excluding the FIA GT1 & GT3 cars) have simply been transferred over.

Example: all the Audis are the same, most BMWs are the same, almost all Mercs are the same, only the one same Koenigsegg, same Maseratis, almost the same VWs etc.

Not the vast majority. From memory, the first Shift had ~70 cars. Shift 2 has ~140. So half of them are new (plus the supercars from Shift 1 have had works conversions added). I think it's OK, pretty much all the cars they have are unique or iconic in some fashion. If each release adds another 70 cars like that, it's soon going to be a very decent list.

You'll notice it's the same with the tracks too. It's tracks from Shift 1 + some more.

I think its a very good start of a car selection and they said they will broaden it with DLC soon. Cant wait for that Retro cars package!

I hope for some Quattro, E-Type, Stratos, 037, Escort RS, 917, etc - there are so many great classic cars with sports/racing heritage! Hope they will make a great selection. :dopey:

I think the car selection is terrific! All of them are cars you might actually find on a track. Not like a Daihatsu Midget or Dodge Ram Quad Cab. Focused performance cars, you know, for a RACING game.

The only GT3 car they haven't confirmed is the Ferrari. Every other car from the 2010 GT3 season is in the game.

The Mercedes SLS GT3 car hasn't been confirmed yet IIRC, I don't recall seeing it in any screenshots.

There is however a few gaps in the Mercedes section of the car list so I think ther chances are good.

That didn't actually compete in the FIA GT3 last year so they aren't required to put it in.

Update:

190E 2.5-16 Evolution 2
McLaren SLR 722
SL 65 AMG
SLR McLaren Stirling Moss
SLS AMG

However, at the time of this post, Mercedes-Benz as a manufacturer is not revealed. You can find these five cars in the "Car List" section of the official website.

in the news they posted the last of the manufacturer monday posts. the last cars to be revealed are the:

Mercedes-Benz:
- Mercedes-Benz 190E 2.5-16 Evolution 2
- Mercedes-Benz SL 65 AMG
- Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG

Porsche:
- Porsche 918 Spyder Concept Study

Nissan:
- Nissan 240SX (S13) Drift Alliance- this is a special S13 that you get for doing the drift tutorial

And yet there are still 6 locked slots (which have now been removed...)

I'm thinking Retro DLC, which is likely to be, and better be, free:
Mini Cooper
Datsun 240z
Old Jag has been mentioned in a hands on
Aston Martin DB5 or similar also mentioned somewhere previously

hmm...
