Mate. I'm saying they should.
No, you clearly said they have to. "Have to" and "should" are quite different...

If any of these companies thought this type of swapping, or "hybriding" if you will, hurt their company image in any way, shape, or form, they would have sued the tits off Ryan (along with over half the entrants in any given FD event) a long time ago. However, in spite of the swapping, they know that at the end of the day, Ryan is providing good publicity for all three companies. It comes back to the old saying "There's no such thing as bad press". Perhaps I'm assuming too much, but if these vehicle manufacturers are OK with people doing swaps in real life, I have a hard time imagining they would have a problem with it happening in the virtual world.
That said, if there's a way to make a dime by either allowing or disallowing these actions in the virtual world, then I absolutely see car companies taking a vested interest. But if it's simply a matter of "protecting the company image", I don't see the car manufacturers giving a 🤬

I'll use the example of Ryan Tuerk. For those who don't know, Ryan is one of the more popular drivers on the North American Formula D circuit. Last year, his competition car was a Nissan S14 Silvia powered by a Chevy LS1, and his current street car is a Nissan 180SX powered by a Toyota 1JZ. Both of these cars are very much in the public eye, so it's not as though Ryan is some random Joe-Blow hiding in anonymity from the likes of Nissan, Chevy, and Toyota.

jimipitbullDo you think Chevrolet would have specified that the 2014 Corvette should have no tuning options available in GT5?
Why would they do that?
HondaJunkiewell i got banned today for using hacked cars but to bad im thick headed and exploited my gave save and now im back on
HondaJunkieyeah happened to a friend that doest go online today as well he got a hacked car from another friend of mine and got banned
HondaJunkieLucky for me i caught it right when it happend and had my origial save still on my cpu. other wise i would have been screewed
I have 3500 you tube subscribers.
I'm quite smart and the thread is labelled SHOULD THEY let it slide. And actually the banning notice is just a threat. That's it and people who get banned would have got banned anyway.
Fail to see what you're getting at here. Yes, the thread is labelled "Should they" but you said they "have to". Why do they have to? Simply because we like them? Whether some of us like them or not, doesnt mean they have to. They can do whatever they want. Just because you have 3,500 youtube subs doesnt mean you have power to say what they have to do.

it was a opinion. I mean come on guys. Do we really have to say in my opinion in every post? It is obvious that it was his opinion.
I love my hacked cars and many other people love theirs too.
You were implying I wasn't smart so I proved to you I wasn't and I don't care if you fail to get it. Most people would get it.

No Name DriftThat's all ok. But the point is some other people don't like if you drive with your hacked car in another room. So I think the guys who like to hack should stay in their rooms or stay in rooms in that the host say it's ok to drive with hacked cars. I think we don't make other people angry.
Hope you understand that I mean it's ok to hack but only when the other drivers think it'S okay too...
BTW, when you add all the upgrades and tune it, it's a damn nice handling car. Tons of torque, but not enough horsepower at 550. The LFA still walks away in the straights
You can't upgrade it though apart from racing tyres and chassis upgrade
Through hybriding, you can do whatever you want.
But that's hybriding and not upgrading.
Nismo34He said "add all the upgrades". Didnt specify which method he used to add it all on...
Through hybriding, you can do whatever you want.
Pretty sure he was talking about hybriding to upgrade it.
Nismo34Exactly what I said.
Oh I know. I was agreeing with you
....and then you will have to upgrade it to 4000hp....
Fraternity187I don't see the point in hacking one of these since it will have 800 hp and then you will have to upgrade it to 4000hp unless you do an engine swap but that defeats the point of it given that it will no longer be a muscle car when it has a V12 in it.
Like i am planning on building a Mugan S2K with about maybe 600HP maybe. And basically I will just use the multiplier to get the closest to the HP I want. Usually it will give or take about 10-20HP. If i get too much I will actually add weight.
Nismo34This is what I did with my V6 Turbo F1. Had 400hp, fiddled with the multiplier until the power was at 690hp. Only times I'll touch the multiplier, just gets too ridiculous getting over 1000hp...
I mean i figured out the mathematical equation for figuring out what HP you get. You want me to PM it to you?
Nismo34Please and thank you. Will save me lots of time when I need to touch the multiplier again.
