They should never remove any car with only one variation from the game. I would agree to clean up the number of similiar RX-7's, Miatas, etc... But the Veyron? :boggled: It's a one and only car, and removing it is a step backwards.

Because it's comical.

Just silly.

Where's the funny part? All I see is a fan car with a body designed for the sole purpose of generating downforce.

GT's physics engine makes it seem like the car is driving on a flat track, but no one complains when an LMP drives around the Ring.

The FGT isn't real, should that be removed?
Possibly, but unlike the X1, it's not ludicrously ridiculously fictionally fast.

Looks like you missed the part where the X1 went around the majority of corners flat out. You probably won't see that even in an F1 car.

That's because F1 cars don't generate ground affect or weigh 500kg or whatever it is

To me the X2010 is basically the working version of the age old F1 claim that one could generate so much downforce to drive upside down in a tunnel. We'll never know how true it is because nobody will ever try it in real life.

The X2010 is basically the same, it has the performance Red Bull think such a car could perform at but we have no idea if it's true because nobody will ever build and race anything like it in real life. It's already been covered in many threads how a human is unlikely to be able to drive it and how no tyre could live up to that sort of performance for lap after lap.

That's why it has no place in a GT game.

Yes, sooooo include it, Prem with every variant too (Pur Sang, Sang Noir, Bleu Centenaire, L'Or Blanc, Vitesse, Black Carbon) plus Grand Sport/Super Sport/Grand Vitesse. UnModifiable too, as adding racing suspension etc to a car perfectly designed

You sure about that? The new Grand Sport Vitesse brings the variant total up to 23, if memory serves.

^ Agreed, adding too many variations makes it no different from the Skyline/Miata/NSX fiasco :ouch:

In my opinion, only these four variants should be included (since there are enough differences to justify adding them as different versions IMHO):
- EB 16.4 Veyron (original version)
- Veyron Grand Sport (removable top)
- Veyron Super Sport
- Veyron Vitesse (Grand Sport with Supersport engine)

And yes, ALL cars should be modifiable 💡

Most of the variants are just special editions of those four versions featuring different paint and interior schemes. A few have different wheels. PD could put them in the game if they wanted, but just offer them as a factory color.

For example, the Veyron Sang Noir had an all-black exterior, with the exception of the chrome grille and mirrors. The interior was orange. There was also a Super Sport Sang Noir variant as well.

When you scroll over to the Veyron in the dealership, the Sang Noir scheme could just be one of the color options. Then scroll over to the Super Sport, and do the same.

Of course, if PD gives us a good livery editor and a nice buying/trading system, we could just make them for ourselves and/or sell them to people who want replicas.

Oh, so "logically," that's how it should behave.

Why don't PD come up with a car that weighs 5kg and has 5000 horsepower. I'm sure some intelligent guy will be able to predict using assumptions logic to determine how the car should drive.

One Word: AdrianNewey

Nit-picking at an amateur level. :dopey:

Why should it not go in?
Like with too many people using the GT-R's online for their "lack of skill", some people hate the Veyron and X2011 for similar reasons.

This is nonsense. Why does it need to be tested to be verified. Math is enough to make it realistic. You could argue that Red Bull didn't do the math properly, but to argue that because it's not exist that it's not realistic is silly.

You could argue that PD didn't do the math properly and I'd agree, but then that's a problem with every single car and has nothing to do with the X1 specifically. The tire complaint would fall into this category.

The X1 is sort of like the Veyron of race cars, it's something built around an unlimited budget that was meant to surpass all the other cars. I think that the X1 occupies a very important spot in sim racing, not just GT. It would be interesting to see cars like this is other sims, including higher end ones.

Yes, the X1 is presumably accurate to the limits of the GT5 physics engine. Just like all 1000 other cars.

You have no idea how engineering works then?

My previous response was on the Veyron's appeal. I thought about this question on the basis of importance. The Veyron- whether you love or loathe it- is an awesome car. Maybe it doesn't have the character of the McLaren F1 (my all-time favorite car), but there is plenty of reason to have a unique car like the Veyron in a game like a Gran Turismo. I didn't think of this question in regards to handling, performance, and things like that. If you want to stretch the question further, did the 1886 Daimler cars deserved to be in Gran Turismo 4? The casual gamer would say "[hell (or heck)] no," because any car not fast enough or capable enough deserve no place in a racing game. The gamer who is also an auto enthusiast would surely approve of the Daimlers in GT4. So I approve of the Veyron in the GT realm. You don't have to like certain cars to appreciate them.

X1 weighs 545kg in game. F2007 weighs 545kg. I understand the ground effect/suction part, but the weight thing does nothing for your argument :P

Ment most changed and important variance, think that would be 7 then (4 main changes being eb16.4, grand sport, super sport, grand vitesse plus some specials). 8 including Mansory Linea Vincero d'Oro - gold parts against carbon body

They add up to 23 in total. A copy of evo with the full list is sitting right next to me. Don't make me post them.

Mansory is a tuner, and wouldn't count, btw.
