I decided I needed to add some stuff to my PS3, so I got three things to use on it.
So, I took advatange of Radio Shack's Black Friday deals. The trick here is to get up early and get there when they open.
Dual Shock 3 - $29.99 (normally $55)
Logitech EX 110 Cordless keyboard and mouse - $19.99 (normally $39.99)
That keyboard has made using my PS3 immensely better when designing levels in LittleBigPlanet, sending messages, and using the Web browser.
And then my wife wanted a new food chopper to replace her old one that broke over the summer and so we went to Wal*Mart to get her the $4 model they were selling.
While there I decided to check out their Blu-Ray sale and while none of those enticed me I decided that looking at the copy of 2001 sitting by itself on their shelf for $19.99 for almost a month was really a shame, so I bought it too. It is gorgeous.

Perhaps the new PS3 keypad thing would be what you need? It is a mini bluetooth keyboard that can attach to the controller and has a function where the keys become touch sensitive and act as a touchpad. It just came out and they are going for $50.Very nice! I've been looking into some different wireless keyboards for use with the PS3 also. If you have ever received a text reply from me, it looks like a third grader typed it out. I hate it. I would really like to find a reasonably priced keyboard with a touch pad on it. All the ones I've seen are 7$70+ dollars...

I personally dislike touchpads, and really did not feel a need for a mouse on the PS3, but at this price I couldn't pass it up. I figure if they ever put full keyboard and mouse support in a game I will be ready.
The only issue I have is that the range on the wireless device is short. This was obviously not designed for living room use. It will go 10-15 feet, but my sofa is 15+ feet from the TV. However it reaches just fine if I use my gliding rocker, which I normally use for a lot of gaming. Also, the USB wireless dongle is on a 3 foot cable, so it can be placed on my ottoman where it will then be within reach of my sofa (as long as I don't angle the keyboard weird while typing) and the wire is not blocking normal traffic flow.
My wife likes to make baskets. You would be amazed at how uncluttered things can become with three well-used baskets. One sits on the back of the sofa with all the remotes, one holds all the phone books, and then a third was needed specifically for all the crap the Wii uses. It is sad when my two other systems can more easily hide their controllers within the entertainment center than the stack of stuff the Wii needs.I may go that route. I have an extra wireless usb, but as you found, their range isn't that good so a Bluetooth keyboard seems to be the next option which is some $$$. The small keypad might not be that bad. I'm just trying to keep some of the clutter down, as I already have a keyboard and mouse for the HTPC. Adding another Keyboard and mouse with the other keyboard mouse, PS3 controllers, TV remote, Receiver remote, Satellite remote, 360 controllers, and popcorn bowl, the room can get messy quickly.![]()

Oh, and I found my new keyboard slides just perfectly under the entertainment center.
To my surprise, my 4year old can now run my entertainment center with my Logitech 880. I don't know how much I like that...I'll have to take a look into my universal remote again and get it reprogrammed for the latest upgrade.
Yet, my dad will stare at those things in complete and total confusion. To my surprise, my 4year old can now run my entertainment center with my Logitech 880. I don't know how much I like that...![]()
I was thinking the same thing about my mother-in-law.Yet, my dad will stare at those things in complete and total confusion.

My mom called me the other day asking if I could guess why her TV might not be picking up the cable signal from the box. Knowing my stepdad I asked, "What channel is the TV on?" She didn't know so I had her change it to 2 and start flipping up. She hit 4 and there was the cable signal. For what it's worth, I kind of like making it as confusing as possible to make things happen in the entertainment room. It keeps non-supervised use of the equipment down to a minimum. 👍

What position you play?
Nice dude, friend also got a pair.
I would say you must be a back?
The what?one holds all the phone books
The what?
The what?
Who uses phone books? Apart from drunken weightlifting, obviously.
Because the power and internet are always out when you need to make a phone call.Like for real, he keeps them until the next one comes out...The internet is so much easier and less confusing.
Ya know it, but everyday it becomes smaller and thinner.I'm sure America has Mobile Phones.
Unless you have a father-in-law who just starts pushing buttons to get things to work. What he messed up in 10 minutes (speaker distances, dB levels, etc.) took me an hour to find all the things he changed. Thankfully I remembered the settings or I would have needed to bust out the calibration disk again. The one that really burns me is the A/B speaker switch was changed. He had to physically get up and do that - it can't be done with the remote. I was thoroughly amazed. And not in a good way.

Sounds like every man's worst nightmare.

Come to Kentucky, where a local business is lucky to have a Web site, and if they do it may or may not be more than just an ad.bergaukI think my brother collects them. Like for real, he keeps them until the next one comes out. I can't understand why he wants them. The internet is so much easier and less confusing.
