My DVR is full of recorded Top Gear episodes that I'd like to erase. I just can't do it until I have a hard copy.
What kind of DVR is it? If it's a TiVo, you can install TiVo Desktop, move them to your computer and burn them onto a DVD. You might have to convert them to a different format, but that's not a problem.

There might be software, or at least other ways to do something similar, for DirectTV, etc. DVR's, also. Might be worth looking into.

Reventon, are they the original UK episodes or the edited ones on BBC America (if you've seen the originals to compare)? Hopefully the "as seen on" is just to get more people to watch the channel. There's also supposed to be a Clarkson "Heaven and Hell" DVD out.

I have seen Season 10, but I have not watched the DVD yet, so I don't know.

Bought myself a set of these:

Ernie Ball Super Slinky 9-42

Whilst playing Minority yesterday my top E string decided to snap. So until these turn up I'm stringless. I was struggling to decide between 10s and 9s, but in the end seeming mine used to have 9s on and I'm probably more used to them now I picked the 9s despite 10s have a better sound apparently. Maybe 10s next time.

Samsung R505. Finally persuaded my mum out of her horrendous Acer and into something new.

Dual core 2 GHZ AMD thing, 4GB of RAM, 320GB hard drive, HDMI out. Suits her perfectly.

You can always go for 9.5s ;) You should be fine with 9s. Bending the B string string up 2 1/2 steps is more enjoyable that way.:dunce:

Or you can go for 13's like I do on my seven string - not kidding! Effing telephone wires they are :P

Bought myself a black Calvin Klein jacket and pants suit for prom...

/facepalm. Men don't buy pantsuits. All you had to say was a CK Suit. :) Another case of revenge of the hyphen.

lets see... 3 tickets to see the airshow down here. cost 54.00 but it was worth it....oh did i mention i had a front row seat for the thunderbirds

Very nice, Tsukuba! 👍

Pako, too! I have the Pirates Trilogy on DVD and I told my wife that I wouldn't but movies on Blu-ray if I already had them. :indiff:

Except for Star Wars (if that ever happens) because I only have those on VHS.

:) I have the VHS box set also. Got it right after I got my stereo VCR for Dolby Surround sound. :D The speeder bikes were the best.

I had forgotten how long the first Pirates was. In any case, family movie night is set for the next couple weeks. :)

Same here. Amazing how good it sounded (and looked) in my mom and dad's basement 15 years ago. Now, not so much. So much so that my 5 year old noticed when we watched the DVD's.

I have the original trilogy VHS box set, the special edition trilogy box set, and the original trilogy DVDs with both versions that came from Wal*Mart with the comic books.

I am happily awaiting the Blu-Ray and hope and pray that it will not be a case of buying them each separately or all six as a big box.

Similar to TB's sound thing, when I first got a surround sound system Jurassic Park on VHS was my first movie that utilized it well. Watching stuff shake as the T-Rex roared was pure gold. I can only imagine how awesome that could be on Blu-Ray.

As for my recent purchases:
photo0083w.jpg

Two tomoato plants, two cucumber plants, six lettuce plants, green bell peppers, red bell peppers, zucchini squash, and not in the picture, two bags of potting mix to put the tomatoes in the Topsy Turvys.

Also, my watermelons and canteloupes were started indoors and should be ready to plant this week as their true leaves are starting to come in. Corn and beans have already been sown.

Take good care of them. You might need to survive off of them when the sky falls.

Well ive had my Redline Double X Special Edition Since 2003 and it has served me many many miles and jumps and wheelies through my non car license years. Lately ive been riding it more and more going to the gym and mucking around with my younger brothers and the other day the brakes snapped and the pedal snapped out of the crank and i couldnt be bothered to try to fix it. Besides my brother really needed a bike so i thought id give him that one to fix and id buy a new one. So for $380 AUD i got a 2008 Redline 5.1 I know its last years model, but for $380 it was a bargain, cheaper than the 2009 Redline 1.2 yet better. Will probably be one of my last BMX bikes i will purchase for me id say lol, Havnt riden it much yet, but so far im very happy with it.

Also bought the Ultimate Blu Ray Matrix triliogy with animatrix and 2 other DVDs on the making of the matrix. Total of 4 bluray and 2 DVD. for $99 AUD.

@Small_Fryz:

The bike is cool and all but the Matrix box set looks awesome. 👍

Like FoolKiller, I already have all of them on DVD and can't bring myself to getting them on BR unless I can find a really good deal on them. My favorite scene for "Showing" my theater system is the lobby gun fight in the first one. I would crank it and play it all the way through until the helicopter gatling guns the building. Awesome scene for sure! 👍

Considering gas has jumped almost $0.50 in two weeks it may be a necessity.

But I do tell my wife that if there is ever some fall of civilization disaster she's in trouble. I never have more than 90 days worth of medicine so at most she has 13 weeks before the only person in this family that knows how to get food from nature dies.

 Yeah, I hear you. I planted a whole bunch of stuff up in Arkansas with my cousin and his dad, but the damn deers ate everything a month later.

Randomly found that at Best Buy today. Last one on the shelf too lol...
Is there anything special in the premium edition?

Human hair or mothballs, and not the new nearly oderles mothballs, the strong overly pungent mothballs. My grandmother also suggests a small battery powered radio placed in a way to protect it from rain.

I would opt for electric fence, not the "gonna fry you dead" kind but like cattle electric fence. We've sold it for years at one of our retail locations.

Lots of pesky deer out this way to.

I have a 90-year-old grandmother with every free or cheap tip in the book. Heck, any barber/stylist will just sweep up the floor and put the hair in a bag for you for free. I have contemplated the electric fence idea, and I already have poles that my wife's grandfather had in his shed, but I also need to stop rabbits and raccoons, which can get around it, particularly those crafty coons. Bad smells are easy and cheap. I did find mesh fencing in the shed too, so I might put that up. I feel like I am scavenging a dead man's gardening supplies.

Last night I found I have slugs on my lettuce, so egg shells will be going out tonight or tomorrow.
