I had this same model (Logitech Harmony 880, btw) about a year ago but my TV wasn't supported then. I'm hoping that has changed. *fingers crossed*
Sadly, it hasn't changed.
Again, I'm very much hoping that Vizio's are covered now or I'm getting a mark next to my name in my wife's "He screwed up again" book.
Even though Vizio's aren't
completely supported, I got mine to work, so no marks for me.
It took me a bit longer to set up than I think it should have, but at least everything works. The Logitech software is looking for a few different ways to change the inputs on the TV, none of which are quite right for my TV. One is a completely separate button for each input, another is a single input button for all (so it cycles through the list). Mine is a hybrid of the 2 (one HDMI button to toggle between HDMI1 and HDMI2, same for Component, AV, etc.). The problem with this is when I push Watch TiVo, it sends the HDMI1 signal to get the TV into the right input, but if it was last in HDMI1, it goes to 2. I ended up having to set up a "on power off" option to send the TV to AV1 before it turns off. Then when I hit the Watch TiVo button it goes to HDMI1 and then sends an additional signal to bring up the Now Playing List instead of leaving it on live TV. On the Play PS3 button, it sends the HDMI signal, then I have it set to send another HDMI signal to get it to HDMI2. The same principle is applied to Watch DVD and Watch VCR as well.
On the plus side, I tested out every option I could think of - on, off, different inputs, etc. - and it worked beautifully. The only issue that I could run into is if someone turns off the TV manually (get up and
touch the TV?!?) or uses the TV remote, which will be put in the closet now, more or less eliminating the problem.
Bonus - my wife had the remote for all of 5 minutes last night and said she liked it and admitted it was a good buy.
+1 for me.
