Does anyone remember when LEGO was a giant box of pieces and your imagination created the awesome stuff? The sets they have today are cool but cost more than my entire LEGO collection from my childhood. And something feels lost when they have custom pieces for a set.

Yup. I even used to create my own instruction booklets for the models I created. I also used to build double-sized versions of the pre-designed kits.

It wasn't a lonely childhood. Honest. :indiff:

;)

Actually, I wouldn't call being diabetic "win". Yet, using a syringe in public and seeing how shocking this can be for some people is actually really an "epic win". :P

Let's see...

Shogun 2 and all associated content...
Alan Wake's American Nightmare, Alice: Madness Returns (which is pretty great on PC compared to consoles), Sonic Generations' Casino Nights... Steam sales, money sinks.

Just the board/deck. It's a local skateshop board here in Queens, NY. Barely skated it. I'm due for some new wheels too.

If you want to make your eyes water, just get hold of a parts price list....

I have  some stuff is pricy for modifications but other stuff is retivly cheap because of the amount of spare parts out there. So some stuff is great but others are just silly.

I've been feeling very nostalgic recently. Just ordered these two.

I had a copy of ICO, but I didn't spend much time with it. I don't remember how far I got, but I don't think it was very far. I'm looking forward to SOTC as I've never played it before. Can't wait for these two. Got them for the same price as the PSN downloads, but I prefer a physical copy.

I also ordered this. I love Metal Gear. I have the original on my PS3 as my PC copy of the original is long gone. I have 2, 3 and 4 somewhere in the UK, but I'm looking forward to replaying 2 and 3. I haven't played Peace Walker yet, so I'm looking forward to that.

I got a good deal on the two, but the shipping was more expensive than I was expecting. I went for Fedex as I have had a good experience with them. Sadly, while ICO would have been shipped within 24 hours, MGS has an eta of 5-15 days, which means I'll have to wait that long for both games. Still, nevermind.

Aaaw yeah. If anyone wants to re-shape some metal, just place it next to my laptop's left vent while I'm playing this and it'll be up to temperature in no time.

Marantz Model 5220 cassette deck... circa 1977.

It's since been given a healthy cleaning, and it purrs quite nicely when paired with the rest of my system.

It does indeed have a space saver of humiliating yellow. The spare wheel well seems to be big enough to take a full size spare though so I may look into getting a spare alloy at some point.

.... What is that like to play with? It looks really really odd.

It does take some getting used to but I like it a lot. It's pretty much a PC version of the Wii-mote and Nunchuk. Been using it to play Left 4 Dead 2 and Modern Warfare 3 mainly and it's pretty fine-tuned to these sorts of games; it was designed with FPS' in mind after all. Flick your left hand to reload weapons, raise it to jump, lower it to crouch/prone, free-swing melee weapons in L4D2 with the right hand, etc.

A Samsung Galaxy Tab 7. Unless someone can give me a good reason to keep it, it's going on ebay.

...Apple didn't get it banned in America? :sly:

OK, picking up the 55" Samsung ES8000 and it turns out I get one of these free:

Oooooh, do you have a price in mind?

:D

Just bought:

Fallout 3 stuff

Gotta love the Steam Summer Sale :D

I had a quick look on the Steam Sale for that.

Reasonable price.

The kicker?

"Not compatible with Windows 7"

That was exceedingly annoying
