Yesterday and today were quite interesting.
Like I had said, they were having a grand opening sale at CompUSA and my friend and I were going to go there. Having dealt with Black Friday crowds, we decided to get there at 9:00PM and wait until it opened at 7:00AM. The only mistake with that logic was the fact that we were the only ones there until 4:00AM.
I made out pretty well. The CA security suite (which I currently use right now anyway) was given to everybody who came into the store first, free of charge, along with a free 256mb flash drive for each purchase. The router, however, is something that I just pulled out of a bin. What I mean is, someone told the manager we had waited there since 9:00PM and were the first ones in, so the manager pulled us over to the side, took a picture, and allowed us to choose something out of a bin of random things (I couldn't decide so I just grabbed the router). Last of all is what we went there for in the first place, the 500gb hard drive. All for a grand total of $29.99 plus 7% sales tax.
The strangest part of this whole thing was I ended up being stopped by a cop. I had to go to the bathroom so i ran across the street to the BP, went to the bathroom, then ran back across the street (My friend and others had done this plenty of times). Well as I'm walking through a parking lot a cop turns in, stops right in front of me, and tells me he needs to talk to me. He tells me to give him my ID (thank god I actually carried it on me for once) and proceeds to request information on it through his radio. I have no idea what's going on, but he finally tells me "It's a $48 fine for crossing the road, you know there's a crosswalk. I could give you a ticket but I'm not going to be like that. I'm just going to run your ID, and if it's clean you wont get a ticket." Thank god I have a clean record
. I do have to wonder though, there were other people that he saw cross there, but I just happen to dress like a pothead. Too bad I couldn't help fill his quota
My mom made me go to school so I'm about to take a good long nap after being awake since 6:30AM Thursday morning.
