Some new brakes for my bike, Shimano BR-650's, with longer calipers.

Not cheap though :ouch:

One for Leicht. Ladurée recipe book.

Wow, nice one... I don't think I'm ok enough at the kitchen to bake some of the food.

I actually went to London yesterday (One night stay) and went to Harrods again to buy 12 more Macarons :)

My mechanic has some of those in stock but he's asking 80 quid a pair! :scared:

Let me know how you get on with those, I've been thinking about a brake upgrade myself, something like a Dura-Ace (I really like the DA gear), if my wife will let me spend the cash.

Yeah you can't go wrong with Dura Ace.
Just for the giggles check out the price of a full groupset.
Make sure you're seated.

Cheers Shaun.

I recently had to crawl through them to find just a caliper set (they're mostly sold in full sets here) and the starting price was around 12'000元 - that's 1'200GBP!

If, in future, I plan a self build, I'd definitely consider a full set, but then the frames I've been looking at are around 20'000-30'000元, and I wont even start on the wheels! (Carbon fibre all round, FTW :sly: )

Since my wife didn't like me buying books to add to my already overloaded bookshelves I convinced her to let me get a used Kindle. Two days and $50 later a 4Gb Kindle Touch was mine.

Used tubes for used tires @ $2.00 ea. Now my second bike doesn't sound like a freaking TRON light cycle when it's a-runnin' down the path. :)

New brain bucket.

Fits so much better than my old one. Confident now in the unwanted scenario of a crash that this one will stay in the correct place.

Cheers Shaun.

Just remember it's better than crashing without a helmet
I have a frankenstein-looking scar in between my ear and head from not wearing one.

Looks good. It'll keep the family happy t0o, I bet. ;)

I bought mine to shut my wife up but after cutting my hair it no longer fit correctly. It was a really expensive Specialized as well and it couldn't have done more than 100km. As good as new to be honest. :indiff:

I could have sent it your way if I'd have known you was in the market for a skid lid.

Oh well, not to know mate but thanks anyway. 👍

Looks pretty cool mate 👍

As you would have seen with Neil a few months back, a good pip protector is the most important part of a rider's kit.

Yeah, the helmet is the most important part. I should have really got a better one a while ago. Honestly I didn't have any confidence in my old one.
Bronny is very supportive of my cycling but last night she said she does worry a bit about me getting knocked off. Was kind of the catalyst for me to go shopping today.

Isn't Neal on his third in a year, or something like that?

He sure is lucky he uses one!

Didn't he totally crack one?
Much better the helmet than the skull.

Cheers Shaun.

Do the silver mirrors on a black car not bug you?

They're already driving me mad just by looking at them.

Nice purchase, though. :tup;

Thanks.
No Shem I quite like it as it gives a bit of contrast. But I was thinking about carbon mirror covers. But they cost a grand :ill: and if they get nicked:yuck: ...
But still an option as is a black single frame front instead of the matte alu one...

Bought diner for two at the Hepworth Gallery in Wakefield. And some bits from the gift shop.

Ohh and GTP premium for 1 year for an unsuspecting Planet member.

Oooh, just saw an ad on the TV for that last night. Is it good besides the speakers? I'd like a phone with good speakers but not if they lack other capabilities...
I have to say, I've been through several Android phones (HTC Desire, Galaxy S2, HTC One X, Galaxy Note 2) and have to say this is the best phone of them all so far. There is a few little things I miss such as the dedicated menu button and a few things work a little differently due to the Sense interface, but it's nothing you don't get used to after a couple of hours.

The two main things that impress me is the build quality and the screen. Definitely by far the best quality android phone I've held and the best LCD display I've come across. The One X's display always slightly disappointed me after coming from an AMOLED display of the Galaxy S2's, but this one has more punch than the One X's and is pin point sharp like the iPhone's display.

Definitely recommended.

I've been looking at these Twin-Time's for a long, long time but Tag's are overpriced for what they are IMO. But, I happened upon a deal too good to pass up so time to start clearing a slot in the watchbox 👍
