Carrera Twin-Time Automatic....
Carrera Twin-Turbo Automatic

You could trick your friends that you have a porsche!

Now you can enjoy the Premo photo thread. ;)
First thing I did when I got into The Infield.*

If I'm honest, it's a shame that thread isn't in the standard Photography forum.

* after going through the Daily Babe Thread, obviously.

A Fuji 35/1.4 to complement the 18/2 I've been shooting with:

EDIT: Also just bought some photo insurance as my kit bag is getting increasingly expensive. :scared:

Nice. I'm still on the bench about this lens. I have the 18-55mm and I'd love the prime but I'd like a 50mm Lieca and the 55-200mm Fuji.

Just the new single '94 by The Kings Dead

Well. I think this is from the album Revenge Of The Beast but I'm am not so sure.

The music video compliments it very well. Check out their other album Jerusalem. Their style is really experimental at the moment. It is explicit with some curse-words. I would say it's NSFW

Grabbed this at work today:

D-Link five-port gigabit switch, one 10m cat5e patch cable and two 5m cat5e patch cables = gigabit mini-network in my room. Only cost me a measly fifty green :)

Also be jelly of my carpet.

Sharky, carpet is for cold countries. Be jelly of my climate. :sly:

This for my tea. Boring I know, but swallowing loose tea ruins the drink.

Accidentally smashing my old TV remote in frustration cost me £19 to replace it. Woo, today was a good day...

Granted, the old one was awful in terms of build quality and responsiveness.

2 outer tie rod ends I just did an image search online not the ones I got.

150 bucks later.....

Well it's been ages since I last posted but I've bought so much new stuff since then. So incoming lump post!

Here's the latest.
New hard drives.

The Red has an expectedly higher response time, but has impressively topping thoroughput!
It's replacing my often-accessed (via DLNA, etc.) 4 year old WD Caviar Black (6401AALS). The 2002FAEX Black is replacing a 1002FAEX that was returned. Its replacement unit is arriving tomorrow. The Acronis backup appears to have copied the 1002FAEX's contents cleanly, while the old 6401AALS is being cloned to the Red right now.

I've also gotten some figs in the interim;

Racing Queen Miku. Wonder if she'll improve my times in GT?

Cheerful Miku scale fig. Expensive, but also a charity product, and she's gorgeous.

Haven't played the old 'Station much, since I've been mostly in on MechWarrior Online and other PC games, but;

Speaking of PC games, I've been spending time in Far Cry 3, Dead Space 3 and Crysis 3 too. Year of the 3s.
All are fantastic looking games.

Also picked up a number of CDs over the last few months - latest to arrive is this limited edition box set.
FExCCC-OST%20front-1kpx.jpg

I've played the game through one run already, the soundtrack is pretty nice.

Signed!

Also have livetune's Re:Dial album. It's fabulous.

After that I decided to stop looking for things I've bought.

I'm thinking of buying an Android tablet now though, any suggestions? I'm most likely holding out for Sony's XPERIA Tablet Z, but it's taking awfully long. Or, I might replace my GSII with the upcoming rugged edition of the Galaxy S4.

edit: forgot this forum doesn't use the collapsing spoilers. Oops.

Double set of wiper blades that look quite similar to this. Got red tips at the ends as well. Replaced the ones I had that were like this. Bought them in that color to match the body paint.

The van is awesome. Ixo?

No, it's DeAgostini. A series that comes included with a magazine, called "Car in service" (Russian: Автомобиль на службе, "Avtomobil na sluzhbe"). This magazine is about Soviet and Russian service vehicles (police, fire, ambulance etc.) and includes a DeAgostini model of the car described in each issue.

Naw, I think you have youer info mixed. Planeta de Agostini is the publishing house that released those magazine/car combos. The cars were usually Ixo or... argh there was another brand that also supplied cars for them but I can't remember now which one. I have a few of those myself, altough we never got some of the series you guys in Europe had, which were awesome.

I also have a DeAgostini magazine/car combo. A Zastava 101. It is all kinds of cool because it's not something you see often done as a scale car. Bonus points for Zastava being the same company that made the Yugo. :P

yeah, those magazine/car combos are awesome because they were very reasonably priced, had very well made cars with really good detail (I've compared some of these with some premium Ixo's a friend has and they are almost on par, for 20-30 dollars less) and indeed there are several cars/trucks/dioramas that are way uncommon for the scale car market. And you guys over there in Europe have it even better, over here in Mexico some of the series arrived, but it's not even half of what was available in Europe.

Norev maybe? I have a model of Dakar MB Unimog which was packed in a blister branded as DeAgostini, but lettering on the bottom says that manufacturer is Norev.

And my 1944 Opel Blitz model's bottom lettering says: "Victoria for DeA".

Hmm, really, I have a model that I know is Ixo's - 1958 GAZ M21i Volga (Moscow taxi), and I've just compared it with the Volga of DeA's "USSR auto legends" series (same version of Volga, but not taxi).
-W8kszqIK3k.jpg

They look very similiar, some small parts are a bit different, but the bottoms match exactly (instead of letterings). Yes, DeA is supplied by Ixo's models, I got it...

And the combo of magazine and model costs $11 in my location - pretty cheap. :) If you want some of them - they can be purchased on eBay.

Yes, Norev is another brand that supplies these magazines, but there was another. I'll ask my friend later. I had never head of Victoria, though. That truck looks nice :0

Ans yes I have seen themm in E-Bay, pretty reasonably priced but the shipping most of the times destroys that
