Testing out the new speakers huh? 👍

Indeed. They're a beautiful set of speakers, so smooth and capable. They love to be pushed but stay so refined when playing all types of music.

Some cheap sunglasses:

Can't go wrong for £12
Just the other week I got myself some Wayfarer sunglasses just like those but in white for about the same price. It hasn't been sunny here since

Anyway, over the past few weeks I have been considering getting some new earphones as an upgrade from my Sennheiser CX 150's. And then last night whilst working, I happened to lose the ear bud that goes in the left ear. So, considering the other two ear bud sizes are uncomfortable I have decided to buy some new earphones:

They are Rock Jaw i3d dual driver earphones, and according to literally everybody except techradar.com, they have excellent sound quality, especially considering they cost less than £50 ;).
I have never used dual driver earphones before, but apparently they are miles better than single driver alternatives I have used in the past. Seeing as I listen to music many hours pretty much every day, I figured this would be a worthwhile purchase 👍.

And...They look really cool :D

Guess which one is the new purchase! It's for FreeTrack IR head tracking, it's going to have a ghetto IR pass filter like the MacAlly camera but I might actually take some time over it and make it look presentable... Yeah right. Not bad for £9 in total, the monitor mount was a couple of quid but it's really good, nice and solid (not that it needs to be, but it's nice that it is), and it fits my monitor's bezel perfectly. The camera itself is great for the price and will fit my requirements perfectly (assuming I can remove the IR filter without breaking it if it blocks 865nm too much).

Pretty cool, someone here is trying to do it.

I toyed with the idea once I saw it here (obviously for ArmA III), supposedly it works better with the PS3 eye camera thing, here I have seen results and I'll get to practice once I see if I can get the materials to do it.

Seeing how it works makes me wonder if I can get the microcontroller boards compatible with Arduino locally, here I'll be looking for an update to see how it turns out.

What's the Arduino for? If you want a basic Uno (or whatever the entry-level one is called now) you could make your own Arduino-compatible board, it might be tricky to make it work with shields (since they've got a non-standard gap in one row of headers) but if you get a compatible Atmel chip, some passives, a crystal (32MHz I think) and an FTDI cable you should be able to burn the Arduino bootloader onto it (I've forgotten how but I did it once years ago). I've got an idea I'm toying with involving an Arduino and gaming, but if I do anything with it I'll start a post in the sim hardware section.

I haven't gotten my LEDs yet, they were supposed to arrive today but, well, they didn't. I don't have any other IR LEDs I can use apart from some pathetic ones I got from old remote controls but their viewing angle is predictably tiny, like 20 degrees or so (I'd guess). The ones I've got on order are 145 degree SMD ones, 865nm, when I tried it with the MacAlly camera they worked really well (they'd work far beyond where I could comfortably turn my head, let alone where I could comfortably turn my head and still be able to see the monitors) but I couldn't figure out a comfortable mounting method with my old headphones. I've got something better in mind this time, though... I'm excited to try it out, but I need those LEDs first.

Back on Tuesday, my mom had a business meeting to go to in Bristol. After the meeting, she decided to stop by a antique store a few miles from the speedway that she never been to.

Looking around the store she came across a wooded crib filled with old books and other things. In the crib set this coffee book with old Formula 1 cars on the cover caught her attention. After picking up the coffee book from the crib, she notice a $10 sticker on the cover. Flipping over a few pages she decided to buy it.

When checking out, the book was actually 20% off so it became a $8 book.

Later that night after the both of us looked over the book, I went online to find some information on it. Our jaws hit the floor.

Amazon offerings and 2 current eBay auctions.

You should definitely check these out if you plan on working out while wearing those.

I haven't bought mine yet but they have gotten some really good reviews.

Some things I'm considering buying in the next day.
