What's the best site to get Mods for Race 07 from? I'd like to get a good version of the Nordshleife, anyone has any suggestions?

Nogripracing is my usual supplier for addons mods and tracks. I have got Porsche super up, btcc 2012, 2011, 2010, 2009, 2008, 2007, 2000, 1999, 1998, 1997 and 1996. Formula ford, lotus evora cup, f1 2008 and 2006 and a Peugeot 407 trophy series. Plus many tracks.

Race Pro was a great, if a little flawed game but unfortunately since it sold about 36 copies there is no chance of them ever making another console game anytime soon.

I own one of 36 copies? I'm keeping that disc. It'll be huge valuable.

nogripracing.com is awesome. :) I found Trial Mountain and Apricot Hill for free. :sly:

You just bought the game and the first thing you do is run an addon? 👍

No. Magny-Cours was not an add-on. In fact, the only "add-on" in that video is the car; the Formula 1 "remodel" SimBin did called the "Formula Raceroom." That car drives surprisingly realistically like an F1 car; well, it seemed like it anyways.

SimBim is currently working on RaceRoom Racing Experience.
Some say, it may also be the new GTR 3, how knows :D

Anyways, I was accepted into the Closed Beta and I'm totally excited for this. You can download a F2P Version of it on Steam! :)

Done. I did that like two months ago.

Heh, I might have exaggerated slightly. But yeah my general point was it sold very poorly and for that reason it's highly unlikely Smibin will try the console market again any time soon.

I know, I'm trying to be a bit funny. But, if there were only 36 copies made, that disc would be one of 36; you know how much popular cars go for, if only 36 were made? :sly:

I remember it had a fair few bugs, the biggest one being that wet weather was only visual, it didn't affect the physics, but it was still very enjoyable. Simbin know what they're doing when it comes to creating a racing game without the fluff.

I've managed to sort out my mod-installing issues, I just needed to extract my files into the root Race07 folder.

Which mods did you get? :dopey: I'm intrigued by the availability.

I'm especially looking for the Aussie V8 Supercars mods.

I have the 93/94 BTCC mod, the Porsche Super Cup, F1 95, F1 11 and Formula Ford.

Just had a 26 car battle at the 'Ring. Even though I ended up in a barrier on the third lap (after bumping Nicola Larini at Flugplatz, my bad :dopey:,) it was still quite enjoyable.

Thing is, I had every year of WTCC, STCC, and... pretty much every other touring car series, and even though they were built for different seasons/championships, they still raced really well together.

Good to hear you managed to sort it out. So, you'll be busy for a while now then :D

Does anyone know about any classic F1 mods (mid-80s to early-90s preferable) for Race07?

I don't know about that. Some of the mods are just external mods with copies of the physics of other cars in that class. I.e., there's the MINI Cooper Extreme which didn't even visually change, but magically became 600 hp and RWD :yuck:.

There are a few (Super Touring cars, Aussie V8s, DTM) that have their own specs, but it's not as common.

So, I wish you luck, but I can't quite help you. :(

I think there is a 1997 mod out there. I'll see if I can find it for you... might take me a day or two though.

Bumpity bump, I got Race 07 today and it's great, it took me forever to set my wheel up but once I got it it was great. I really like the Mini Challenge car and the 330i WTCC, especially in the rain around Valencia, a track I've never driven until today, it's such a fun track. I'll probably end up picking up GTR2 as wel..

Anyone care to share their wheel settings, etc? Both in game and in the "Logitech Profiler" or whatever you have.. I'm having a lot of fun with Race 07, online is fun if you can get into a decent server, I've been in a few already where people do some "interesting" things . I picked up GTR2 as well, about to give that a try.

I would like GTR Evo, if it weren't just the 'Ring. GTR2 felt a bit weird, like the car was steering itself; I had turned off all assists, there's no reason for that. If you figure out how to do GTR2 Logitech Profiler etc., please do tell me.

You MUST calibrate your wheel in Logitech Profiler before playing GTR2. If you don't you'll see the car not wanting to go in a stright line. Hope it helps.

Like, calibrate it specifically for GTR2? 'Cuz it worked fine for iRacing and Race '07, but I have problems with GTR2 and rFactor doing that.

Have you tried adjusting the steering to a negative rate i.e. I use minus 75% in GTR2 & rFactor
