I have tested alot of cars. My original choice was the CSL as well but that is out my hands now. Great all around balance.

I am going to have to go with brute force since all the tracks are pretty wide open. I am going with the Shelby Series One. I will do my best to get it to handle well.

So if we are going to have a second class then we need to set the HP/Weight and drivetrain pretty quickly so we can do some more testing.

I'll push the car selection back by a day. I have heard from a couple of people and I am thinking 470 HP and 1500 Kg. Mind you, I suspect the game won't let me pick 470, so whatever it will let me pick. 474, 473, something like that.

Those aren't hard numbers, yet. Play around, and if you see something that is close to that that you like, but can't quite get to that, let me know.

Some more numbers... last season the cars had a power to weight ratio of .28. This season, that same class has moved to .27. I want the larger class to be over .30. I'd like for it to be around .32.

Only FR. If we allowed anything else, we'd need some very good testing to set the handicap.

I am going to rule on this... both cars will be picked at the same time. So, CSLACR will get first pick at the second car, too. I went over it in my head, and I think this option is slightly more fair. Marginally.

As I said, I think it would be symmetrical if he picked the E92, but he doesn't have to. And if he doesn't, anyone else is welcome to.

If Bowler and Jahgee want to stick with the JDMs from last season, they will very likely have to cross brands to find a car for the bigger class.

There will be four drivers per team. Jahgee will get a first round driver pick to back fill Esh, and then a third round pick to get a fourth driver. Bowler's roster is full (three solid drivers and me).

In effect, JoeW will get second driver pick.

My apologies to WiiFreak, but things are full right now. I will run this again in October, so please check back.

Sorry, one last note...

Teams can run the exact same car in both classes if it will fit. I don't know that it will, but if the E46 CSL can get up to the HP/weight settings for the higher class, than CSLACR is welcome to run that car in both classes.

I am switching cars, and I plan on using different cars per each class.

Wiifreak take my place . I have opition i think his time petter than me because iam GMT +3 so let him be the one how will play and me i will be the guest in any race that any team need driver if one of his driver he will not play this day if its oky with you thanks .

Is it bad to say that other than a simple assumption, I haven't tried out cars for the new class.

After announcing that I was going to pick the Shelby Series One for my future team, Mighty_Mopar told me that he drove it last season and that he was going to use it this season. I think he assumed he was going to be a Constructor this season instead of a Driver. He is listed as a driver currently.

I would gladly switch places with him and let him be the Contstructor for the team I was going to use and I would be a Driver in the driver's pool. This would keep the number of drivers the same and the number of constructors the same as well. He could have the Shelby and will be well.

Thoughts?

@JoeW-- Teams from last season could keep there cars. Though Mopar and I were sent to the driver pool, I think it only right that at least one of use gets use of that car and as I stated a week ago or so, it was Mopar who came to me with the selection.

Obviously, were it up to me, Mopar and I would still be a team using the Shelby. If that meant picking last in the draft, so be it.

Then I'm confused. Neither diabolic nor Mighty_Mopar are listed as Constructors. The constructor picks the car first then picks the drivers on his team. All the drivers on a constructors team must drive the car that the constructor chooses and tunes for them. The drivers don't get to pick their own cars.

Is this right or not? Bear with me...I'm new to this series.

Well, Bronco's team is broken up, and I'm not reserving the RX-8. As to the Series One, JoeW is the third one to pick. That means two other teams passed on that car. So it is very likely that Diabolic and Mopar would wind up on teams that didn't run the Series One.

So, I think is just something that I messed up on, and I'm willing to just let the Series One go where ever it may.

Now, having said that, JoeW has said he would drive if Mopar wanted to run the team. As I recall last season though, Mopar didn't actually do the tune, it was Diabolic. Besides, I think Mopar really wants to drive.

Ok. So if either Diabolic or Mopar want to be a constructor instead of a driver then they can switch with me and I will drive and one of them can be a constructor and take the Shelby.

If neither of them want to switch then I will choose the Shelby.

Let me know the final specs for the faster cars and I will choose a car when it's my turn.

Well I think you need to let us know first if you want to switch with me and be a constructor. If so, then you will be team constructor and get the next choice of car. And I go into the drivers pool. Then you draft your drivers in order.

If you or diabolic choose not to switch with me then I will choose the Shelby. Then all the teams will draft their drivers in the order given. It's pot luck if you get on my team driving the Shelby because I do not get first pick.

To really pick a car at different specs, such as 473/1500(It is 463-473-483-493 btw) I'd need to know exactly what specs.
Typically speaking, you want cars that are as close to that performance range in stock trim as possible.

How are the classes working exactly?(Who and how many driving what, or is everyone doing both, etc)

Well, I was hoping for some more feedback, like, "I want to run this car, and it runs well in X to Y." But... based on the little feed back that I did get...

473 HP and 1500 Kg.

And, WiiFreak, you are in.

And, to double post, again...

Each Tuesday, we will have two lounges. Each lounge will run just one class of car. Each team will send two of its drivers into the lounge with the SC cars and two of its drivers into the lounge with the GT cars. There is some strategy. Do you send your best drivers to GT, or one of each to each room?

I need to double check with Zero on the lounges.

Double check the first couple of posts. I will run the driver draft tomorrow. If I don't have your picks, please send them in a PM. If you want to update your picks, send that.

I'll have a look at the PP range and pick the GT tires tomorrow. It is either going to be racing hard or medium. It won't be racing soft.

Car selection is due on Wednesday.

Ok. Then I pick the Shelby Series One. I have submitted my driver draft choices to Vol and I will send my GT car choice in a few days.

My car that I want for the original specs actually does fit both classes. But the dream car I would like to run is 500 HP, 1410 KG, I can add ballast to the car though, so the weight isn't a problem

Vol, do constructors get first dibs on their SC car if they would like to run it in GT?

I need driver picks from jtqmopar and CSLACR.

How do I draft drivers without knowing who is drafted?
Or do I keep guessing until I find one that isn't taken? :odd:

If it's eligible I was thinking of the new Z06 myself. ;)

I found a better car to use actually, that is why I asked my newest question :sly:

You send Vol a pm that contains a list of drivers you want like this
1. Sebastian Vettel
2. Lewis Hamilton
3. Fernando Alonso
The top driver is the one you want most but if somebody already got him you'll get the 2nd driver, so you have to list all drivers in order of preference.

But no reason to list drivers that aren't available of course.

This is really holding things up now, guys. Sorry, but I'd feel bad picking for you.
